Re: Describe you're planned character(s)
I think animal testing is a terrible idea; they get all nervous and give the wrong answers.
Re: Describe you're planned character(s)
my first character will be a Nord because, well its Skyrim and also Nord looks more like a Dragonborn than other races. In my second play I am definitely gonna be bosmer. Can't be without the little fellows. They are awesum.
Hasn't the hand to hand skill been dropped? Anyone know about that?
Doesn't mean I can't box.
Doesn't it? Can you punch people or not?
well like how blade and blunt have been dropped but moved and combined into one and two handed hand to hand is still possible just within two handed. my question is, is dual wield one or two handed, cuz it could be one handed in the fact that u are using one handed weps on the other side could be two handed cuz both hands are equipped so yea its confusing for me.

I sincerely doubt hand-to-hand has been grouped into either of the weapon skills.MasterRokon wrote:well like how blade and blunt have been dropped but moved and combined into one and two handed hand to hand is still possible just within two handed. my question is, is dual wield one or two handed, cuz it could be one handed in the fact that u are using one handed weps on the other side could be two handed cuz both hands are equipped so yea its confusing for me.

Re: Describe you're planned character(s)
ALRIGHT.
My many ideas...:
A bard who has accompanied many great adventurers on their travels, though only really wrote songs to entertain them. Though he/she tried to imitate their fighting styles, he/she was too weak to haul a claymore around everywhere they went. Thus, he/she opted to use a mixture of finesse and magic.
A ranger elf girl who relies on a bow, or perhaps a longsword. Has some sort of tragic past and therefore remains a mystery. I probably will only play as this character if I get bored of any others, and I won't do many quests. Just roleplay as a ranger.
And then a tank! Buff Nord guy with a scraggly beard, scars, and dirty mind! One of those boredom characters, again.
And an archer who murdered quite a few people in the Imperial city as part of a rebellion, then hopped the border to Skyrim. Former member of the city's army. Will do The Companions as well as the Dark Brotherhood. I'll join the side that isn't for the empire, Stormcloaks, I think. Probably an Imperial or a young Dunmer.
Then a thief.... pretty self explanatory. I'll use dual wielding (obviously) with two longswords. A young Dunmer or Bosmer.
Then, if they look decent this time 'round, an Altmer mage who uses a dagger and one spell, or in case of dragons, two spells. I'll make him or her short, because the whole seven feet tall thing was odd in Oblivion. Maybe because I'm as short as a bosmer guy in real life...

I believe the skill one or two handed goes in accordance to the type of weapon used. So two one handed blades is the one handed skill. If you watch the video he levels up one handed skill when doing a finishing move with those 2 one handed swords, if my memory isn't failing me since im not feeling so well at the moment.

Elder Scrolls Roleplay character
Post your elder scrolls rp character like mine
Name:Valund the Vicious
Age:21
Race:Nord
Sex:Male
Personality:Calm fairly sociable desensetized to violence
Body:6 foot 195 pounds muscular
Place of Birth:Small village in Skyrim
Marital Status:Single
Family/Friends:Father Hauk The-Hunter (deceased),Uncle Savard The-Fighter (deceased), Ireunhart The-Brave (deceased), Vilem (deceased), Philip (deceased)
History:Valund grew up in a small village in Skyrim where they lived off the land he lived with father. He was taught how to hunt with a bow and how to skin an animal. He loved his father he was loving and caring. But oneday when Valund was 12 years old he came back from gathering to find his entire village had been massacred. But he did as his father always told him be strong there's no need for tears. So he knew what to do he had an uncle in Cyrodil in the city of Bravil so he took a dagger and a bow and headed to Bravil the quest took him many days but he finally found in his shack in Bravil dead.
So Valund wandered the strange city for a few months living on the streets and killing rats to eat so he didn't starve. Until oneday he found an orphanage so he went to the orphanage the head master of the orphanage let him in and gave Valund a place to sleep. But not long after Valund found out the head master wasn't such a nice lady at all she would beat the children and make them clean. Everyday Valund would wish he would get taken by a rich family but it never happened he never got picked. He lived miserbly for a long time.
Until he was 15 he and he and his friends from the orphanage by the names of Philip Croix,Vilem Drethi and his best friend Ireunhart the Brave decided to run away from the orphanage. And live on the streets here he learned fast how to fend for himself while living on the streets and his friends always had his back but life was tough in the slums they had steal and fight just to get by they would spend their days scrounging for gold coins and every once and a while doing small jobs for the local crime guild members that's how they would earn most of their gold by doing jobs for the Red Hand Guild.
But back to his friends he hung out with a crowd most would call undesirable but to him they where his best friends yeah they where rough and tumble kids but they where his friends. They would get in fights sprawl rooftops and steal things but that was just the way life was in Bravil it wasn't easy. So after while his friends got to know him as a pretty good fighter so they where all thinking hey maybe we should hold fights with other kids and bet on Valund well they started to do this and sure enough Valund was great he won against everyone just like his uncle and thats how he earned the name Vicious because when he would beat them he would beat them half to death he just had sometype of rage inside of him that once it went off you couldn't stop it.
Valund is now 18.This is his last fight before he gets to face the champion Agrum gro-Agrob a hulking orc who has never been defeated. But thats for later lets focuse on the fight at hand Valund is an an alley with people all standing around him and he's staring down this very large Nord by the name of Hisin The-Gruesome but he's waring Hisin down he's starting to get tired he can see so Hisin throws a punch to Valund's face Valund ducks and finishes him with an uppercut. All his friends cheer it also happens to be his 18th birthday so after they go to the tavern and buy drinks while their drinking Agrum and his Clan of orcs happen to walk through the door and Agrum sits right next to Valund and says im gonna crush you when the fight comes then leaves. By this Valund is very angry but his friends tell him to save it for the fight. So finally the day of the fight comes he walks down the stairs to the basement where it's ment to be held. Then walks through the crowd of peopl into the center of the circle and sees Agrum standing there with a grin on this face then Valund puts his hands up then Agrum pauses a second then swings a crushing blow to Valunds eye where it starts to bleed then Valund punches Agrum in the mouth and Agrum starts to bleed but he smiles then starts repeadidly swinging on Valund untill he beats him to the ground then Jumps on top of him and starts to beat him again then pauses for a second and looks at the crowd and as he opens his mouth to say something Valund headbutts him then flips Agrum to the ground and starts to repeatidly beat and headbutt him until he no longer moves then everyone starts to cheer he is the champion of the slums. Him and his friends go out and celebrate. Now that he is the toughest man in the neighborhood he is very well respected and he and his friends aren't so poor anymore.
A few days after Valund becomes champion he is walking around town and an Imperial in fine linen approaches him and says i've heard about you and I would like you to join my guild immediatly Valund knew who he was it was Vinnus Valodius he was the leader of the strongest crime guild in Bravil the Red Hand Guild. So Valund immediatly jumped at the offer and accepted because he always looked up to these guys when he was a child he strived to be like them and now he could. So he was initiated and then started of as a low level member whose job was to just sit around with other guild members and make sure no rival guilds would come on their turf and he was quite good at that the few times they had a problem Valund would beat the rivals senseless now after a year of doing this Valund rose in rank and was now extorting business owners and all three of his friends had now joined and where low level members.
By now he was 21 years of age and was now a higher up in the Guild and now sold skooma to people in the slums so it's like any other day he's standing in the alley selling to customers while Philip watched the left side of the alley Ireunhart watched the right and Vilem watched from the balcony and after the day was over he went to Vinnus and gave him his cut of the gold and was headed for the door when Vinnus stopped him and told him he had a diffrent job the next day he said he needed him to kill someone he said that if he did this he would rise in rank so Valund accepts and tells him about a new upstart Guild of skooma dealers that was trying to move in on their turf he gave him the information on them where they hung out what they looked like.
So the next day he woke up got his crew all together and one extra guy who Vinnus sent to help an Argonian by the name of Scar-Face who was one of Vinnus's best assassins anyway he got together with them and they started to plan they had to take out 6 guys 2 Dark Elf's they where the leaders the Vinlethi twins they where the main targets. The rest where less important but still needed to be murdered so they planned it they knew exactly where they where going to be at a local tavern where Vinnus was paying the owner to look the other way and to make sure nobody else was there but the Vinlethi twins and their guild. Finally the time had come it was midnight Valund got his dagger slid it into his sheath and he and the rest of the guys walked to the tavern where Vilem covered the back door and the rest walked through the front door as they walked in Valund was greeted with a punch to the face by one of the twins then the fight broke out everyone took out there daggers including the rival guild and there was a giant fight and the last thing Valund remembered was stabbing 2 of the Dark elves from the rival guild and hearing the last one that he stabbed in the stomach scream scream then after that everything went black.
When Valund awoke he was on the floor of the tavern in a puddle of blood when he looked to his right he saw his best friend Ireunhart laying next to him eyes open and a slit through his neck. than as Valund stood up he started to look around and he saw everyone else he had brought with him also dead every one of his friends dead then he felt something warm running down his cheek it was blood was cut but that didn't matter everyone was dead the only one of theirs that was dead was one of the twins how could this be they where all dead and but he knew what he had to do he had to get out of their fast out of Cyrodil so right then and there he decided he had to go back home to Skyrim so he got a few things together and headed for Skyrim.

Re: Describe you're planned character(s)
So far I have four main different characters, with various others starting to emerge.
Ri'Darva, a female Khajiit thief who was about to be executed for sleeping with a Jarl's wife. Rash, slightly cocky, and sarcastic. She dislikes Imperials and has a lesser dislike for Bosmer. Flirts with everyone and everything she can get her hands on. Follows the teachings of the Renrijra Krin. Weapons-wise, she'll either use dual blades, a dagger, or a bow. I'm going to run through the Main Quest and the Thieves Guild with her. Loves practical jokes above all else.
Unnamed Assassin. Not sure which gender or race yet, but this one will be one of my more psychopathic and cruel characters. Their crime will be the (known) murders of 16 people. Obviously, this one is destined for the Dark Brotherhood. Probably won't do the Main Quest with this one.
Unnamed Female Nord Blacksmith. This is going to purely be a role-playing character. The closest she'll come to dungeon-delving would be the mines where she'll collect ores to make stuff with. She'll basically live off what she can make in a small town/village, like Riverwood. When she's not in a forge or out collecting materials, she'd be in the tavern. Her reason for being executed will be the result of a drunken tavern brawl that went terribly wrong. Weapon-wise, she'll use a two-handed sword.
Valeri Telvani, a female Dunmer mage with ambition. A bit too much of it, actually. Arrested for unethical magical experiments, she's going to be another dark character, but more amoral than evil for cruelty's sake. She seeks power, no matter the cost. From Daedric shrines to tricking the College of Winterhold into accepting her, she'll do whatever it takes. Dislikes all others, but especially the beast races.May do the Main Quest, but only if it suits her. Main weapon is her magic.
Other characters not fleshed out yet include a good character, a travelling merchant, and a cowardly skooma dealer. It all depends on the roleplaying aspects.

Can I suggest a race and gender for the Dark Brotherhood Assassin if you want to be a vicious murderer I would make the race either Orc or Nord and most likely a maleSilentPsycho wrote:So far I have four main different characters, with various others starting to emerge.

Dislikes all others, but especially the beast races.May do the Main Quest, but only if it suits her. Main weapon is her magic.
Other characters not fleshed out yet include a good character, a travelling merchant, and a cowardly skooma dealer. It all depends on the roleplaying aspects.

Re: Describe you're planned character(s)
I'll probably go for a male character for my Assassin, if only for a change of pace, but I'm thinking of going for a elven race, rather than Nord or Orc. I can see him being bloodthirsty, but sneaky about it rather than hack-and-slash. It could also work with the racism between elves and Nords. Hmm, I'm going to think about this for a bit.
Re: Describe you're planned character(s)
Beorn Brven, a Nord Rebel, who was once a member of the Blades who fled when the Guards tried to put him back in prison after he saved Nirn. He went to Bruma, got a horse and was chased into Skyrim. Suddenly, there was an avalanche an he was buried. Later, excavators found him and he was arrested.

J'radh
Khajiit. A kleptomaniac and a remorseless murderer, though he only takes lives of innocents when provoked in some way, slightest of insults counts as a sufficient provocation (too racist yet?). He himself is not a racist, his own view of the subject "everyone has a coin purse that is waiting to be stolen.". Never had anything close to a family and was brought up by "women of ill repute" (censorship is a female dog) in the Emperial City. Former thieves guild member, thrown out for the killing of a fellow member who seemed "too" successful for her own good. I'm considering melting his heart at some point in Skyrim, though it has to be completely natural. Bow or short sword & magic.
Xar'tauin
Argonian. A shaman with no sympathy for any of the "lesser" races. Through a vision (or just a dream) Xar'tauin is led to believe that he will be granted the gift of immortality and divine wisdom should he defeat a dragon (or whatever will be the main antagonist) of a certain stature. He pursues this goal with almost manic devotion, only helping a lesser creature if the result is furthering his own goals. By the end of the game I imagine that the PC won't be elevated to the status of godhood. When Xar'tauin finds this out he is almost destroyed. Almost his whole life wasted pursuing a lie hurting innocents in the process he devotes himself to righting wrongs all over Skyrim as long as he still lives. He will never discover love. He is a spellsword relying mostly on his magical abilities. staff-magic, staff-sword, sword-magic or magic-magic.
Cohen the Barbarian
Pretty straight forward. He was brought up by wolves, lives of of raw meat, smashes evil in its face with a claymore, battlehammer or battleaxe. might use sword and shield occasionally. He doesn't mind magical armor or weapons, but he has a general distrust towards mages in general. He is a devout Akatosh worshipper (If Alduin really is Akatosh, this could turn out interesting) If he gets the chance, he'll rob you blind, but only because "someone else would have done it anyway" He's no racist and he'll always rescue any damsel in distress, being ekstremely susceptible to "love at first sight". He never turns down a good bar brawl and he loves to drink and sing.
I am going to make an extremely racist Altmer pure mage, a warlock Dunmer and a just and noble Breton warriorpriest. Haven't thought too much about who they are though.

Whoops, forgot my orc.
Grindrok Stonehide
Proficient smith, well tempered and kindhearted. His family resides in Orsimer and are in fairly good standing. Grindrok traveled to Skyrim when he came of age to make his own future. Falsely accused of counterfeiting currency he is arrested crossing the Skyrim border. Grindrok holds no grudge against his captors, knowing he was framed by a rival family in Orsimer. When the main quest is introduced Grindrok gladly accepts the challenge, the roaring inferno inside him that is the spark of youth combined with his already extraordinary soul fueling him. He also joins the companions knowing his skill as an armorer will be appreciated there. He suffers from slight aquaphobia having lived all his life in the mountains, but is also slightly drawn to the sea because it is so alien to him. He doesn't mind dungeoncrawling, having visited many mines in his time, though he is slightly bored with mines in general. He has always enjoyed reading a hearing of tales of adventure which also serves to fuel his lust for experiencing one himself. He absolutely loathes necromancers, wanted things to stay dead when they're dead and thinking anything else to be unnatural and Evil. He likes to drink but never condones bar brawls either avoiding them, or trying to prevent them. He will find a lovely Orc'ette marry her and treat her like a princess.

Maion Eldengale
Altmer Maion was once a philosopher and friend of the Psijic Order in the Summerset Isles. During the sinking of Artaeum, he took up a lute and performed his way to sea, ending up in the town of Anvil. He took this opportunity to research the old Mer culture, and in an Ayleid ruin contracted vampirism in an ambush.
Ever since, his thirst for knowledge would grow and so would his musical skills and his passions. He slowly went mad as he fell in love with several mortal Mer, only to lose control and claim them as his bloodprey. This attracted the attention of the Imperial Guard, who tried several times to kill him. Failing to do that, and needing to focus on growing numbers of undead near the Imperial City, they brought one last desperate plan, baiting him with a hired Altmer seducer and putting him in shackles.
Now he is taken north, out of Cyrodil, to be executed far away in Skyrim presuming they have the resources to do it properly, but not knowing that the Nords are starting to have problems of their own.
[His roles will shift far away from that of a philosopher, and more of an enchanter/artificer/crafter and daedra worshipper, realizing he must work to defend himself better in the harsh north. Who knows if Solitude's bard college will rekindle his lust for other things, or if he will ever desire a mortal life again.]

Re: Describe you're planned character(s)
My first character will probably be a Male Imperial (I know, very generic). Probably a mix of a light armored warrior and a stealthy kind of guy with a little bit of destruction and restoration. When I make a second character, it will be an Argonian, a Khajiit, or a Nord (all males).

I'll probably have a Dumner thief who uses shortblades or daggers that specializes in Restoration, Sneak and Lockpicking. Then I'll go around stealing everything that isn't nailed down.

Re: Describe you're planned character(s)
I don't think there's any burn scars available which doesn't really make any since why they wouldn't put those in but whateva pretty sure dere's not doe0rimus wrote:When I first saw the Orc with the missing eye, I wasn't as impressed as everyone else seemed to be; not to say I didn't think it was cool though![]()
But it led me to wonder how far they'd take the whole scarring/disfigurement thing. I, being boring and vanilla, like to basically play as myself (or a character strongly based on me) which is why I'm always an Imperial and why my first 45 minutes of playing will probably be just trying to get the face right, if Oblivion was any indication. In real life though, I have burn scars covering roughly 40% of my body (torso & right arm). So it'd be really cool if I could put that on my character and make up some really cool back-story for it (much like I do IRL)
Plus I know there are people much more interesting than me who'd like to RP the crap out of this game, and some cool scars would definitely help, even if it was just like anime-esque, cliche "diagonal scar across the face"
