I have it because of a mod, but I don't know if you can get one without any mods

You can use the CreateFullActorCopy command on him, use Kill on the clone, and loot it.

Re: Uriel Septim's Robe
If you're going to use console commands, might as well add the robe directly to the player's inventory.
If you want to obtain it legitimately, you can use the Skull of Corruption and the Staff of Worms to resurrect his corpse and clone it. Of course, this involves visiting the sewers every three days, and you can't go the Weynon Priory or the sewer grate will become locked.

Re: Uriel Septim's Robe
Yep, Legoless is correct. You have to do the... Viarmera Shrine quest (?) to get the Skull of Corruption and you have to complete the Mages Guild Questline to get the Staff of Worms.

Can this be done on the PS3, or is this just a PC thing. I only have Oblivion on the PS3.

The console can only be used on PC, but you can use the two staves on the PS3, as they are normal items, not a true exploit per se.

Re: Uriel Septim's Robe
best of luck, completing the entire mages guild questline making sure you visit the imperial city every 2-2.5 days is going to be hard i suspect!
Getting level 5 and doing the shrine quest isn't such a pain.
I suggest you save a lot! (probably every time you go to the sewer would be a good idea)

Where is that shrine anyway? I read you need a black soul gem, is it even possible to get one that soon in the game?

Re: Uriel Septim's Robe
There's a list of places empty grand soul gems at the bottom of this page: http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Oblivion:Grand ... d_Soul_Gemhoodedrobin wrote:Where is that shrine anyway? I read you need a black soul gem, is it even possible to get one that soon in the game?
arcane university is the main one. it's really easy making a black soul gem, i used to do it all the time cos i was too lazy to find monsters to completely fill a grand soul gem.
how to make black soul gem and other info: http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Oblivion:Black_Soul_Gem
information on the daedric quest: http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Oblivion:Vaermina
worry about the mages guild questline first, as you need level 5 anyway.

Oh, so you *only* need to visit the Imperial city within every 72 hours and the Emperor's body won't disappear?

Re: Uriel Septim's Robe
In order to get the robes, you must have NOT completed up to a certain part of the main quest, and dark brotherhood.
Get the "Risen Flesh" spell from Shivering Isles...obtain the skull of corruption from a shrine....go to the body of the emperor...bring him back to life....clone him....kill the clone, and before the clone burns up and vanishes, get within clicking range, and then save your game....then reload....and as soon as you reload click on the dead clone and walah...robes and shoes ^_^
btw, this was on 360

Re: Uriel Septim's Robe
You don't have to revisit that cell until you want his robes. The Emperor is marked as a quest item so his body will never disappear. However, you will be unable to access the required cell if you complete Deliver the Amulet or start Scheduled for Execution.Tingz0r wrote:No, the specific cell that the Emperor's body is in.Ryka wrote:Oh, so you *only* need to visit the Imperial city within every 72 hours and the Emperor's body won't disappear?

So which one is it? If the body is non-essential, then I would have thought the exact cell needed to be visited. Since it is apparently essential, I can't do it with staves etc. cause I already gave the amulet to Jauffre, so according to mxk101 I can't even access that cell anymore.
Thank Sithis for the console!
Anyone have pictures of their character moonlighting in the imperial regalia?
I want a low-cut version ;-}

Re: Uriel Septim's Robe
Since you're on the PC what I said doesn't really apply to you. You can use player.coc imperialdungeon03 to go back to that cell or just use player.additem 23D33 1 to add the robe to your inventory directly. Also, being essential and being a quest item are two different things.Ryka wrote:

Re: Uriel Septim's Robe
Ok so ive started a character for the purpose of getting this robe, and im starting to think its gonna be impossible to do and check in with the emporer every three days... im feeling a lil overwhelmed. I saved when i made it out of the sewers and now im like, what to do now? Im needing some positive reinforcement guys. Heres what im gonna do, im gonna check in 72hours and see if i can get in and if i cant or his body is not there, ill revert back to my save. If he still is, no stresses on time, i just cant continue with the main quest. Got it i think i know what im doin, i think...lol. Wish me luck guys.

Re: Uriel Septim's Robe
I've gone back to the Emperor's body after 72 hours, and Baurus is still standing guard over it. Although you get the "Search" icon when you look at the body, Baurus will say something about leaving the body alone when you try to activate the icon, similar to what happens with Bradon Lirrian's body in the A Brotherhood Betrayed quest. In short, the body can't be searched, the icon is non-interactive.
However, try advancing the Main Quest line to the point where the Path of Dawn quest is active, and go back to the sewers where the Emperor's body should be. At this point, Baurus is script-stuck in the Imperial City. I haven't checked this myself, but it seems like there are 4 possible outcomes: the body is unguarded and can be searched, the body is unguarded and the game will still not allow the body to be searched, the body is guarded by some randon Blade who takes over Baurus' job of necro-protection, or the body is gone.
