I think to improve this when you push the grab button, it should show your hand pick the object up and then you should get a option to 'place' not drop but 'place' so say you want a book on top of a wardrobe your player will neatly place the object up there, then it should have options to 'flip' 'rotate' and 'stand up' the object. I think if they implemented this it would add massive amounts of detail to our players homes and shave a SH** load of time of off decorating. Kinda like an improved telekintetic spell. Feel free to disagree or improve

Dragging/Grabbing
You know what i'm talking about, the frustrating grabbing system which made it practically impossible to decorate you house, or made it take FOREVER to dispose of bodies littered in the streets...

Re: Dragging/Grabbing
I think the main problem with this in OB was that whatever you held was loose in the air. If you could grab something and have in not move at all, besides where you directed it, it would be a lot easier.
And i hope bookshelves have "slots" that you cant see, but you could click on the bookshelf and put books in the slots that you want them to be in.

Re: Dragging/Grabbing
be good for placing items etc but not for moving bodies
Re: Dragging/Grabbing
There's this mod for Oblivion called Book Placement v2 i used and it made my life in Oblivion SO much easier. I could actually fill my bookshelves with books! If Skyrim could come with this system right out of the box, console players could benefit from it as well.
Edit: Also hoping the PC can pick up dead/unconscious humanoids and carry them over his/her shoulder.

That would be perfect! i'm a console player so I've never tried anything like that, anything so that i don't have to spend hours after hours individually placing books on shelves, weapons into weapon racks ect..JJSmart wrote:There's this mod for Oblivion called Book Placement v2 i used and it made my life in Oblivion SO much easier. I think it would be easier to just treat the bookshelves like a chest with an inventory page and when you put compatible objects in, it automatically populates the shelf accordingly.

What annoyed me was when you place something, then when you walk near it and the physics engine sends it flying off the table or whatever you placed it on.

On topic, I didn't think the grab system was bad in Oblivion... on the xbox.

Obsessiveness Compulsive Personality Disorder
But I kid, I haven't been diagnosed with anything.
Still, the fact that it is so hard to place objects and it is so easy to accidently knock them out of place is frustrating.

Re: Dragging/Grabbing
I once went around killing the guards in the cities, but I didn't want all the roads to be littered with corpses, and it's too difficult to even move a body two metres. I'd love it if that will be improved. And indeed placing objects. By accident you walk on top of a low table, and all the china is on the floor (not broken). That would also be an improvement. If you have like a ceramic vase and you throw it on the floor it breaks.

They could add a system you interact with storage places such as bookshelves show the items placed on them.

It really would be nice to set my book collection on a shelf properly.
I really hope that Bethesda fixes the Grab and Drag system.
