It seems to be an EB Games Australia exclusive, unless I'm reading it wrong.

$88 dollars is actually very reasonable.

I imagine unique editions like that will be stocked by the major game retailers in europe and america. Don't fall for it though! It's still a rip-off! :o

Who needs a soul when you have the CE of Skyrim.

I basically trade out the artbook and DVD (which I wouldn't mind having), for 4 mini-posters, a steelbook and another little Skyrim embossed book. Plus it's less than half the price of the actual CE.

Ah I never realised this. That works out at about £55 here according to XE which is brilliant.

You don't get the 200 page artbook which is basically the only thing worth having in the CE! What do you get instead? Some cards? And a notebook? You don't get the statuette either! This version seems to be a rip-off too I'm afraid...

You do get the statuette. But the loss of the DVD and Artbook are a real hit. Still, are they worth $110?

Nope. I'll be getting the standard edition. Are you sure you get the figurine?

"This EB Games exclusive comes with the following:

- Skyrim Steelbook
- 100 page A5 Skyrim Debossed Notebook
- Premium Physical Map
- 4 Collectible Art Cards"

There's no figurine in the picture either.

True, I was misremembering things.

Hmmm. I may still get it though, as I doubt that the standard edition will be much cheaper, if at all. New games in Australia tend to be around that price anyway.

I would maybe buy the collectors, but in my country there is only the CE in german available and this is a no go as most mods are english ;-). So I get the normal english edition which is imported by a shop I know and it is actually cheaper than the normal german edition.^^

I don't think I will be getting the Collector's Edition. I can't justify spending an extra $90 on a game, to get a little statue and an art book. Neither of which I care about. I enjoy the games and I don't need to have little statues to show that, I am content with the game itself. Considering Revelations comes out 4 days afterwards, I will just use the money for that instead. I can't even begin to understand why the CE is so damn expensive, but it's not worth it to me.

Hmm... I'm thinking I'll get that EB package. Plan on building my first PC in the very near future, and it seems logical to pick up the PC version of Skyrim. And it's only $88, I mean, I'm pretty sure I paid about that for the New Vegas standard edition. Frame the map, frame the cards, mmm stick em up above my brand new PC set up, sounds good to me!

Bethesda says that there are more Collector's Edition goodies to come
Source - The Escapist

Does this mean that Bethesda has realised that the CE is way over priced and are adding more to it?

I cancelled my collector's edition because i felt financially uncomfortable and usually when I get other collector's edition delivered they are never worth the money I spent on them. All I wanted was the art book but oh well.

Bought the standard version. This good friend of mine from a neighbouring country promised to sell me the art book for a small price.

Current mood: Happy. :D
