Re: Dark Brotherhood
I'd like it if some of the missions gave you some difficult choices, like having to assassinate some you have got to know (could use radiant story for this). Or worse case maybe a spouse if you have married in the game. Then you would have to decide whether to go ahead or hide that person or maybe fake their death!
Ohh ohh ohh another thought if you were in DB obviously you wouldn't tell your wife/husband so each day you'd be like errmmm i'm off hunting now etc. So what if you wife/husband approached DB wanting you killed! That would be cool/sad but a great little twist.

There is quite a bit of speculation elsewhere that the Dunmer screen just released shows DB armour. As there appears to be a kind of hand motif around his chest.

Drifting off the armour...
I don't see how it isn't suspicious. Your fellow members tell you not to talk to them in public, go through the effort of changing there clothes to remain un-noticed, yet, you can jump through the streets.. Blade of Woe brandished and full DB armour and nobody thinks, "Hang on, that's a little bit suspicious there. Maybe I should tell the guard." No, they just talk to you like you aren't some crazy assassin going on a rampage.

the elder scrolls should require some social stealth, like in assassins creed you have to be doing socialy acceptable actions inorder to keep the gaurds unsuspicious, elder scrolls shuld also have notority and wanted posters and stuff i think, u go and kill someone and then are running around crazyly sumone shuld come after u and ask sum questions.

They're not going to implement that. It would take too much focus away from the RPG aspect of the game.Anonymous98223 wrote:the elder scrolls should require some social stealth, like in assassins creed you have to be doing socialy acceptable actions inorder to keep the gaurds unsuspicious, elder scrolls shuld also have notority and wanted posters and stuff i think, u go and kill someone and then are running around crazyly sumone shuld come after u and ask sum questions.

thts what i hate about thw world these days, why not go all the way and make a totaly awesome game. And id have to agrue with you it would make the role playing better, not all roleplaying is being a mage or warrior it would be cool to roleplay a notorious thief whos has to hide and stuff to escape gaurds, it woul make you feel more stealthy. And another thing, if your sneaking around a fort trying to assasiniate some warlord and u kill a gaurd with out anybody noticing, shouldnt u have to hide the body?? i mean come on another agurd comes along and sees it and he dosent get suspicious??

Re: Dark Brotherhood
About the "why not go all the way and make a totally awesome game", that would take quite a while, and the executives are rather impatient when it comes to things like profit. As for the roleplaying aspect, I was talking more about making it like a classical turn-based RPG, plus I'm sure that if they added something like that, people would complain about Skyrim ripping off Assassin's Creed.

Very true. Anyway, there's already a level of that in TES games to begin with. It's not socially acceptable to steal property, break into houses that aren't yours, push around the townfolk.. do any of that and you get a bounty on your head and the guards come after you. That's enough for me, to be honest.videogmer314 wrote:They're not going to implement that. Re: Dark Brotherhood
What I'd want from the Dark Brotherhood in Skyrim is a cuddly little puppy— that I could train to attack and kill on command. Forget some stupid immortal horse or paper-thin minions.
In fact, each guild should have some sort of pet: if you finish their questline first, that decides what sort of pet you get. For example, if you complete a wizards' guildline first, you get some sort of owl or raptor. You complete the noble fighters' guildline, you get a fearsome animal. Thieves get a monkey or somesuch that manipulates locks or steals things undetected from a distance. If you complete the Dark Brotherhood guildline before the others- you get something that's scaly, black, and doesn't play well with others.
Once you get your first pet, you forfeit the chance to get any of the others.

That would be pretty cool but i'd like it if you could change them whenever you wanted instead of being stuck with one. I'm not too sure about the monkey though lol.

Re: Dark Brotherhood
I actually like the pet idea. Fighters guild pet should so be a big dog.
As in one of the screenshots, a dunmer (I think, not too sure, can't be bothered checking it again) was seen with a dog next to her, it could be possible pets are already implemented.
But Dark Brotherhood pet, should be something like a massive raven/crow.
I think the whole fun with assassinating people in games is not hiding the bodies. Then a fellow person stumbles across their body, reports it to the guard, the guards conduct a search. There should be evidence too, like... Unique poison residue from your weapon on the body, tracing the murder back to you.
Although, it is a video game. We all know how it was in Oblivion:
Kill all the things!
Get chased by guards.
Surrender.
Go to jail.
Oh no! I lost some stat points!
Rinse and repeat.
Too easy. I really hope Skyrim's crime (dark brotherhood, thieves guild) will be a heap more elaborate. Or I'll just be a freelance thief/murderer because the missions are too boring.
