Re: Favourite Race
My first time through (many years ago) was with a scrappy Redguard. Second time was with a brutish Nord. Now through my third time, I have been going as a Breton (Atronach).
I enjoyed them all, but I think I like this Breton the most.

This is Morrowind, remember. Dremora are classed as creatures, and Sheogorath doesn't appear in the flesh.Iamgoofball wrote:No Dremora? Or Sheograth?

Re: Favourite Race
Argonians have always been, by far, my very favorite race. I've attempted to play as other races, but I always favor my Argonian character. <3 I'm so excited to see how they will look in Skyrim.

What, how they have an epic Scottish accent?

Re: Favourite Race
I like the Dunmer (which is odd, because I normally hate dark elves in most fastasy RPGs), but I still have a soft spot for the Khajiit. My first character in Morrowind was a Khajiit and I still loved him despite the bad leg animations/armor limitations
Re: Favourite Race
Their accent and also what they say. "You like to dance close to the fire, don't you?" I laughed so hard when I heard that the first time.LtGt72 wrote:What, how they have an epic Scottish accent?

That isn't a Scottish accent...
My favorite race is of course, Argonians.

Re: Favourite Race
I'm quite attached to the Argonians too. They were the first race I ever played, and being a humanoid lizard is extremely awesome, all thing considered, and Poisonbloom is a nice spell to be immune to... Though the beast race thing kind of screws them up. Being disallowed the Boots of Blinding Speed is a huge handicap for any Morrowind character!

Nord, I find them looking rather awesome, mostly the ones with tattoos. But I also find all the races awesome in one way or another....but I'd say Nord as the favourite...I think.

Re: Favourite Race
Love the Bretons. Best looking women (save wood elves), but I love the Magicka bonus. Helps any class be that much better. Wood Elf would have been my favorite, but they went on to be so bad in ...another TES game...

Re: Favourite Race
In Oblivion, it was the Dunmer. But Morrowind....I love the Morrowind Khajiit. Especially the females. I love the purring way they talk, and how some of them have kitten faces instead of the big nose jaguar face from Oblivion. Plus, they have cool names, and I like the beast legs. (I can live without boots, really.)

Re: Favourite Race
All of the voices in Morrowind were superior to Oblivion. Which says a lot, being that Morrowind's dialogue was text-basedI love the purring way they talk,

Re: Favourite Race
Wait, think of an Oblivion male Imperial's power-attack exclamation. "WRAAAGH!!!" Plus there's Sean Bean. But, yes, in general, for generic characters, yes, I agree.

Re: Favourite Race
I still like Argonians the best. I've got a soft spot for reptiles. Special mention goes to the Nords for awesome beards and Sean Connery-esque accent. Seriously, the Nords in Morrowind sound 3 times cooler than in Oblivion.

Re: Favourite Race
I don't even remember what race I said last time.
Nowadays it's either Dunmer or Argonian though. I currently have two characters I play, one is my Dunmer archer who's a vampire, and the other is my Argonian mage who's Archmage of the Mages Guild, and soon will have my Telvanni stronghold.

Re: Favourite Race
No thanks. I'd trade it all, and Sean, to have the old Altmer, Dunmer, and Bosmer voice actors back. Bethy can keep their time-elapsed, horribly acted dialogue, all performed by the same three peopleWait, think of an Oblivion male Imperial's power-attack exclamation. "WRAAAGH!!!"

Re: Favourite Race
Bosmer, Khajiit and Nords will probably always perch at the top for me, but I recently discovered the sheer power of the Orcs. They're a good balance between the defensive Nords and offensive Redguards, and they're also far more interesting than the Redguards.

Re: Favourite Race
I'm guilty of pretty much never using greater powers, so it doesn't really bother me. One of the great uses of Orcs is that they make ironically good battlemages. They've got the toughness and Willpower, and a spec in Intelligence/magicka boosting birthsign gives them the power.
