URGENT MATTER: How will we implement combat, and how will the scores be calculated. Will the DM's decide, or will there be a fixed way of calculating it?

I thought you said it would be based off of whoevers' stats were higher?

But that brings problems for people who spaced out their skills. I think that the DM's should decide. Say, for example, a duel was to commence. One party, who has a balanced amount of skills, studies heavily, researching spells and training: while the other, who has one amazing skill, with a few dire ones, doesn't research, then I think that the one who researched spells should win.

Wait... So we don't actually get to scream out spells at eachother?

Well, you would to something like this: "Stupefy!" Yelled Bob, aiming his wand at Jim, who was at the other side of the marble altar. A red stream of sparks flew at Jim, zooming half-way across the room.

We - the DM's - will then post from a hidden characters perspective. So say the person using the spell had 50 DADA, better than his oponent, but had terrible wand handling, then there is a big chance that the spell will miss. If you have good flying spell, then you are also more likely to dodge it.

You cannot decide the outcome of a battle. Leave it to the DM's!
