"Hmph." Hremai frowned. "I'd rather show what those [&@%!] did to me than hide it away," she said, rejecting to wear the eyepatch.

"And what I meant is that I am definitely not fit for any battle."

"So, general, what are you planning to have us do?" Ashriel asked.

"You're acting a bit rude, given the man standing before us," said Peter plainly. He understood the obvious importance of the position Sanchez held - he also recognized that he was the reason that he and the other seven were to receive a chance to strike against their oppressors.

"I'd save your inquiries for another time, Ashriel. Whatever the General's orders, we'll carry them out with pride."

Sanchez nodded at Peter's words. "I like that man." he stated. He looked back at Hremai. "Miss, I understand why you want to show what the enemies have done to you. But something like that can reduce morality amongst my soldiers. It makes us look defeatable. You don't have to wear the eyepatch when you're alone or with close friends. But here at the base, I really would like you to wear it. Please."

"Hmph. To me, it means that I survived whatever they threw at me," Hremai said. "They thought I was dead. But they only got my eye."

"That is your opinion." Sanchez said. "Please, ma'am, just do as I ask. I obviously won't force you, but I really would like you to."

"Sorry, I didn't think formalities were big around here. Considering." Ashriel said. "What shall I prepare myself to do today, Sir?" Ashriel asked, his eyes closed and face resting on his pillow.

"Aren't you listening?" Peter shouted toward Ashriel. "Show a bit of respect, damn you! Haven't you the decency to look your leader, your superior, in the eye as you speak to him?" Peter spoke with certainty, as if he had been in Ashriel's position at some time in the past.

Valentin was awakened by Peter's shouting. "Crickey!" he shouted, sitting up straight. "Who's shouting like that?"
"Uhh...Shut up, Beavis!"

Ashriel opened one eye and shot Peter a dirty look but did no more. "Our leader's here." Ashriel answered Valentin.

Gladro looked at Sanchez and Peter. He hoped he wouldn't be in the resistance long enough to end up the same way.

Lithnilillin, who had been restless and had hardly slept, decided to stop pretending to be asleep. He sat up and silently gazed at the general.

Hremai reluctantly put on the eyepatch.

"It itches," she complained, before turning to Peter. "Do you HAVE to yell?"

"Enough of this fighting!" Sanchez scolded. "I was told that you may have a few questions for me." The General sat down in a nearby chair. "I am ready to answer each of them with the best possible answer."

"By status I mean status. How many are we? What weapons do we have? How is morale? The general status of the revolution." Lithnilillin replied, hiding his slight annoyance behind his expresionless face.

"There are currently 400,097 rebels existing today." Sanchez said. "We are well-armed and well-trained with weapons stolen from the ICA itself! We have access to cars, jeeps, tanks, and even a few airplanes. Morale is currently higher than ever. The rebels are made up of strong, pure-hearted patriots with a will to save their homeland from total destruction. We've gained much ground over the past few years by using guerilla tactics against the enemy."

"Honestly?" Sanchez said. "Magic. We've been using the environment and specific charms to hide this base from their senses. You may learn some of these charms during your travels after your training is over." He turned to Valentin. "You'll be trained by our best. A hand-to-hand combat trainer, a melee combat trainer, a ranged combat trainer, a trainer of the magical arts, and more. You'll each be well-prepared for the outside world when training is over."
