Other. As I think I have said in another discussion, I want a game that covers the whole if Tamriel, if possible (which it probably isn't)

Re: Where do you want to be Elder Scrolls VI to be?
Does anyone actually know what these places even look like? apart from the assumption people are making from the in game book's such as the native race to the province and maybe a few tree's here or there or a book saying this is swamp land, has anyone seen how these look from a bird's eye view in full detail or actually trotted the province? it's easy to say 'I want Black Marsh because it's covered in swamp's and is homeland to argonian's and their scale's are awesome' but to me that doesn't sound like the place will be transversable, and why would anyother race want to live out there? be dull and boring, i could only see Black Marsh being an expansion pack of some sort just like shivering isle's,it just seem's to have no real purpose to a main game/story. As for other province's beside's the one's we have already been in (Morrowind, Cyrodiil and soon Skyrim), i'm sure know one's seen them either not to mention Cyrodiil is bigger than Valenwood and Elswyr combined, and the other games such as Arena are sure to not count, their poor graphic's and crappy resolution will not be the final concept of them province's.
A good and interesting scheme Bethesda could do is make a TES with both Valenwood and Elyswer in the game itself, with the user actually being able to cross border's in to each province, i dont see why not, there only the same size as Cyrodiil combined, as mentioned above.

There is a lot of Lore on the Provinces, mainly from in-game books describing them, or NPC dialogue.
Still, it's pretty solid that they are already established with vibrant geographical cultures, so it's fine for people to predetermine what they might look like, using the lore. You should look into it, I'll even link for you.
The Summerset Isles are famed for their beaches, and they are said to contain idyllic orchards and clear pastures, still and silent lagoons and misty woodlands. Also read this.
Black Marsh is predominately Marshes and dense Swamps. It is a lush and threatening land teeming with poisonous plants and violent predators with a tropical climate which lends its plants the capacity to overturn all attempts to cultivate them. Read this detailed account and the other books in the series (you'll find links from that page). See this image.
Valenwood is known to have both forests and rainforests. It is a densely forested, sub-tropical province described as "A sea of endless green, a maze of foliage with half-hidden cities growing like blooms from a flower, the home of the Bosmer is Tamriel's garden."
Elsweyr has two main regions, the northern deserts and arid badlands and the southern jungles, a lush sub-tropical environment with many forests.

Re: Where do you want to be Elder Scrolls VI to be?
The problem is how will they put those locations in the term of a political crisis? You can NEVER have a Elder Scrolls game without a political crisis.
Arena had an Imperial imposter on the Throne whom allowed numerous wars to take place among its provinces, Daggerfall had a war that involved High Rock and Sentinel in an all-out war against each other, Mannimarco, the Orcs, the Imperials and the Underking.
Morrowind had the Devil returning to power and threatening Vvardenfell and ultimately Tamriel with Akulahkhan and the heart of the Trickster Lorkhan.
Oblivion had the Daedra of Mehrunes Dagon returning and the Imperial blood line finally ending of the Septims.
And Skyrim will have a civil war along with the Empire trying to maintain its hegemony over said nation.
Though they may not run out of ideas such as in Argonia you may try to free Redaysnia from Argonian occupation, or in Valenwood you may be a Bosmer who just doesn't like Altmer domination of your lands and want to unite your people like the Nerevarine did for the Dunmer, Khajit...well that's an interesting story.
For Summerset Isles I guess you could do a story that will involve the Decline of the Psychic Order and them trying to (obviously) prevent such a thing from occurring; whilst a revolution is happening to remove the class limitations that the Altmer people have had for all time.
I'd rather go to Argonia myself.

Re: Where do you want to be Elder Scrolls VI to be?
All of them could have a crisis, it really depends on Bethesda.
Summerset: Psijic Order-related, Daedra Worship related
Elsweyr: The Dro'Jizad prophecy, the Death of the Mane
Valenwood: Wild Hunt Again
Black Marsh: Secession related, Morrowind related
Just a few basic ideas, the point is that Bethesda can create lore at the drop of the hat, by fast forwarding say, 200 years.

Re: Where do you want to be Elder Scrolls VI to be?
200 is so 2011 though
Though I don't know if a Great Hunt would be related as the particular crisis unless Skyrim and the Empire are going to do a combo invasion (let's pre suppose it's an independent Kingdom of Skyrim than the imperial puppet it was in the previous situation this happened before) of Valenwood aka the Altmeri Dominion.
I still go on the Valenwood would be more like a Morrowind-type of unification story since the area is riddled with division since the Empire made it so. Surely the Bosmer would go tired of Alter rule and some may decide "why don't we rule ourselves but let others whom are on an island bickering to themselves how we should decide to live?", rather than just sit down and accept it.
And if said Medeian Empire is still alive; they too would get on the action of an Independent-Resistance in Valenwood for their own personal gain. It'd be sort of like a 'viva la resistance!" type of Role-play where you unite Valenwood city-states under that flag. Be it you sign your allegiance to the Imperials for extra funds and aid, become independent but allied to the Altmer homeland, or become like Elsweyr and Argonia would be up to the player.

Re: Where do you want to be Elder Scrolls VI to be?
I think I would enjoy Summerset Isles the most. If only because based on the lore it is in an entirely different setting from anything I have seen. Morrowind was a harsh land, Cyrodil was rather bland overall (generic plains and forests IMO), Skyrim will be predominately snowy tundra. Summerset Isles seems to be a bit more of a tropical locale and I think that would offer some fun experiences.

Anywhere inside Tamriel. Having a game take place inside of a mysterious continent destroys the purpose, no?

I'd love Elsweyr, I just have something with deserts and stuff. Pyandonea would be rather interesting too, I think.
I think, because both Elsweyr and Valenwood are rather small, they could be in one game. I wouldn't mind that at all.

Re: Where do you want to be Elder Scrolls VI to be?
A little too soon, but why not?
I chose Black Marsh and Valenwood. I think TES needs something of that nature next. Sure, Cyrodiil had forests, but not an ELVEN forest! On a similar line, Black Marsh would be sweet in terms of gloomy, kind of the atmospheric paradigm of Valenwood. Both would seem claustrophobic at times with so many trees, or islelets(?), a much needed change from the open plains of Cyrodiil, the varied and awkward landscapes of Vvardenfel, or the mountainous tundra of Skyrim.

Akavir! Come on! It's a whole new world to explore! New races, new enemy types, new lore! Think of their books and their history. Dragons and Monkey people. Another invasion by imperial forces. Perfect setting. With battles on the scale of Lord of the Rings. Watch those battles and tell me you wouldn't want your character in the middle of it all! Huge armies of the imperial legion going head to head with a horde of Tiger people!

They should make a game that has all of the provinces and possibly even other places not on tamriel in it. i dont care how long it would take for them to make a game this sized thats actaully extremely detailed. maybe even each province could have its own mainquest. and it would be great if you could create multiple playable characters on the same save.

Re: Where do you want to be Elder Scrolls VI to be?
That would be awesome, but could you imagine the load times? Bleeh! Any but the most state-of-the-art pcs would be overwhelmed, and playing it on a console would hardly be much better. If the technology available could support this practically, then I would be behind it all the way, however. Although, considering Skyrim took Bethesda 5 years from Oblivion, and that's just one province, we would be looking at a very, very, long time for this game to come out. *Sigh* We can still dream...Anonymous98223 wrote:They should make a game that has all of the provinces and possibly even other places not on tamriel in it. i dont care how long it would take for them to make a game this sized thats actaully extremely detailed. maybe even each province could have its own mainquest. and it would be great if you could create multiple playable characters on the same save.

Re: Where do you want to be Elder Scrolls VI to be?
I was reading the Summerset Isles lore and was very intrigued, so it's my first choice. Second is Black Marsh, because Argonians, you know...Third is revisiting Morrowind, somehow...
Not changing this until Skyrim comes out, and even then, I'll probably be too busy... playing Skyrim...

Elsweyr or Black Marsh. I love the Argonian and Khajiit races, plus both areas seem great, especially Elsweyr.

Elder Scrolls VI ? (6)
I know this is so far in the future, and shouldn't even be on my mind (since Skyrim hasn't even been released yet) .. But it's become quite apparent that Bethesda is making a new Elder Scrolls game for (maybe not all though) each province in Tamriel.
Which province will be after Skyrim ? Do you think it'd be weird to have the Khajiit's, or Argonian's as the Native race in a game. Huh ..

Re: Elder Scrolls VI ? (6)
Well, if it was set in Black Marsh, there wouldn't be much slavery since this is Argonian-controlled land, but I remember something about Argonian mothers selling their children as slaves. It would be nice to have the Beast races be the native race for a change. I always felt that they were treated much worse than other races. Valenwood, I'm not going for, because of the multitude of Bosmers. Ugh. Yeah, Elsweyr or Black Marsh would be a really nice setting, if you ask me.

What exactly do you mean spin-off?Darth South wrote:Well, I don't think that would be possible for next 5-6 years. And this is exactly how much time will pass IF the elder scrolls VI comes out. I chose another continent, because I think we should see some other place...
And I don't think the next game will be a chapter. I think it will be some-sort of SPIN-Off. If I remember correctly, I read this was the last hero foretold was Skyrim's.

Re: Elder Scrolls VI ? (6)
Also, if you search eras, it stops at fourth era. At my point of view, Tamriel is ending and if there was another game in the series, it would be a war type with civilization going down. To categorize this I have a check-off list
What we now have left are the provinces of Summerset Isle, Valenwood, Elsweyr, and Black Marsh. During the game Skyrim Summerset Isle, home of the Altmers, is under control of Thalmor along with Valenwood. Any games with either of those provinces would probably have something to do with the formation of a new empire.
Elsweyr just secceded fromt the empire but is trying to get parts of Cyrodiil back at this moment in time. The Renrijra Krin is trying to take back what they originally thought was theirs so VI could most likely have something to do with the khajiits trying to coming back into power.
Last of all, Black Marsh would be dieing down becuase of the Umbra Crisis. If IV was going to be on Argonians, it would practically have to be taking place in Morrowind because of the recent Argonian invasion. If not, I don't think it would be very fun trying to stop a flying rock called the Umbra.
Please, if you don't agree with this, just tell me. This is what I see in the next games and this could very well change during eras because I don't control the course of war. We don't really have too much of an idea on Elder Scrolls IV, but it would be fun to see in the future.
