Hi all,
After 3 years, I wanted to restart a game of Morrowind. I just did and my main idea was to start the Main Quest the latest possible. The problem is that I can't really start it, now.
So I did. I became Archimage of the Mage Guild, Master Thief of the Thief Guild, Master of the Fighters Guild and big boss of the Temple (sorry, I don't know the English name). I've played Morrowind for 3 weeks now, a few hours a day, and not each day. I started to wonder why NPCs were already asking me if I was the Nerevarine.
I have to say that I also got some interesting stuff (Azura's Star, Eltonbrand (yeah, I read the trick over here so I used it), gauntlets of Strength and Agility), and my character is very evolved. I never had such a big character with so much loot.
After this I said to myself, yeah let's go do the Main Quest. So I went to Cosades and I was extremely surprised when he said me I had "to be freed from that curse and to visit Tel Fyr". I checked my character, I still haven't contracted the Corprus. So what??? I saw that this was the quest just after the Six House Basement, where the gauntlets of Strenght and Agility are located. I don't have any save that is older than this acquisition. So I'm a bit lost. I don't know what I have to do now. I don't have the Corprus but I still need to get cured of it.
Is there any variable that is set when visiting Ilunibi (http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Morrowind:Ilunibi)? I would like to unset it so I can get the Six House Basement quest from Cosades without impacting anything wrong. I usually don't edit saves or use the console, but I think I'll have to do it for once, to "get it right". How can I do that?
Thanks a lot!
Note: By the way, I tried to use the uesp tag, but I just don't get it, isn't it there to link to the wiki?

No, I didn't kill anyone. I knew about this dungeon (I've been playing Morrowind heavily when it was released), so I came, took the gloves and got out without killing any monster (high stealth + chameleon amulet are good
).
So I should go in there again, kill Dagoth Gares and execute the 2 console commands? I'll try this a bit later.
Thanks!

Re: He who plays with fire...
Firstly, you can't kill Dagoth Gares and contract Corprus until you get the quest from Caius Cosades - he is not enabled so won't be there to kill.
Secondly, have you at any stage visited Divayth Fyr if so did you give him a Dwemer Coherer?
Being told to go cure Corprus before you have contracted it is caused by giving Divayth Fyr a Dwemer Coherer before you were supposed to. This glitches you into the Corprus Cure quest. If you are on PC and have one or both of the expansions(GotY includes both expansions), you can use a "console code" to undo this.

Re: He who plays with fire...
As a matter of fact, yes I did. It had to visit him for a quest of the arch-mage (and I happened to have the Coherer in my inventory at that moment).
I did install the Morrowind Patch Project two days ago (well after visiting Dyvaith), though.
I'm going to start playing now, so I'll execute this first. Then go for the option of Scozzar if needed. I'll report it here.
