Shows-His-Teeth carefully lowered his stance, switching to a more defensive style in order to keep his opponent on edge- as he did so, one of his loyal tribesman, wielding spiked club, maneuvered behind the Captain. With a flick of Shows-His-Teeth's eyes, he made a brash attempt to land a vicious blow on the exposed enemy's backside.
The Captain crumpled to the ground after this sickening new blow, his Argonian foes moved off to other parts of the Battleground, gloating at their victory.
Meanwhile, the gates had been opened and Guar poured into the city, followed by the retreating Dunmer and some of their pursuers.
However, these Argonians did not stand a chance and were quickly dispatched of by the many Dunmer waiting behind the gates.
As the gates slammed shut once more, the Argonians prepared for their attack. Those that had emerged from the sewers ...
Spoiler:
whoever's roleplaying them should take over now
Also, I think it would be nice, from a DMing point of view, if you try to challenge the Dunmer in your 'boss encounters' on the main thread. Sometimes brute force is not enough, brains and teamwork will be needed before they slay your mighty Argonian warriors. There might be a specific weakness you have or a specific action they must complete before taking you down. Just remember, your not invincible, but the more they have to fight for it, the better it should be for both sides involved.
Shows-His-Teeth led his men to an open area outside of the city's walls- from here, they possessed a fair view of a large side gate. It was possible, however unlikely, that a group of Dunmer soldiers would attempt to flank the Argonian force via this route; Shows-His-Teeth and his warriors would be waiting, along with a number of soldiers who were already situated in the position.
Telari Dres, a tough, law-abiding guard of forty, limped through the dirty streets of Almalexia, a look of disgust etched onto his dark blue face. As he turned the corner of a particularly smelly alley, he was almost sick. Recently, there had been a great fault in the sewage system and now excrement and toxic mud was spilling onto the street. Taking a deep breath, Telari decided that the unnatural amount of sewage seeping out into the open was due to the catastrophic earthquake that had spread turmoil through Morrowind and had left thousands dead. Telari was probably the only person on the street that had not lost a family member in the disaster, however, his frail old mother was greatly shaken by the destruction of her ancestral home, Vivec City.
Suddenly, he heard a hissing noise. Immediately he assumed that it was caused by a wretched snake coming out of the sewers, but, he then heard footsteps racing into the shadows. He drew his sword and shouted. "Stop! Who goes there? I warn you, I'm armed! If you attempt to continue then I'll put you in the lock-up or force you to pay a fine!"
Then, a lizard, clad in steel armour and wielding a iron longsword, walked out from behind a wall. The scaly Argonian lunged at Telari and the sword only missed him by an inch. "Stop criminal scum! You have violated the code of law!"

The lizard hissed and pounced brandishing its blade as more of its compatriots poured out of the sewers.
Telari yelled and a few guards rushed to his aid, while others ran to raise the alarm.
The city was breached, but this was not yet a defeat, the majority of the Argonian Army was still stuck outside the city, and the residents were still relatively safe.
Telari, seeing that the lizard was shocked by the amount of guards running to help, dived at the Argonian, knocking him over. For a few minutes, they grappled on the ground, with Telari yelling. "Leave me! Get the civilians out of here!"
Telari succeeded in wrenching the Argonian off of him and slammed him into a wall. He held a dagger to his throat and was just about to deliver the fatal slice when one of his colleagues pulled him out of the way. A wooden club sailed down in an arc and struck the lizard on the head.
"Thanks!" Bellowed Telari, his voice filled with gratitude. "I'll go and alert Ralvalas!" He sliced an Argonian in half, almost being blinded by the spray of blood, and ran down the road.
Meanwhile, Indoril Ralvalas stood beside his men as they battled Argonians attempting to scale the walls.
He brought his blade down, cleaving through Argonian flesh and bone, before kicking a ladder from beneath his foe, sending it plummeting towards the ground below.
Ralvalas, sidestepped a swing from another foe, who was promptely taken down by the arrows of one of the Dunmeri archers on the wall.
Propmtly, Ralvalas heard yells from the city and turned to see a guard making his way towards the battlements, an urgent manner about him, even more so than the chaos of the heat of battle.
Telari stabbed an Argonian clean through the stomach and hobbled over to the brave soldier protecting the wall. "Ralvalas," He panted, gasping for air. "There are more of 'em... At the South Gate!"
"It cannot be," Ralvalas gasped, "we must alert the Mastrius, but first, gather some men and head for the sewers, push the Argonians back and wait for me to arrive. We cannot let the city fall from the inside."
Telari bowed and sprinted back to where he came from, thoughts bouncing madly throughout hi head. It seemed that there had been more Argonians in the sewers than he had assumed as the guards there were being overwhelmed. Telari, converting his speed into brute force, rammed through the lizard soldiers surrounding some guards. Quickly, he exhibited his military prowess by disposing of two enemies expertly. Next, he sliced an Argonian's fin off, much to it's displeasure.
The lizard screamed while a young guard finished him off. The Argonian slumped to the floor, blood pouring from it's wound like a river. "Men, to me!" Yelled Telari, using his age as authority.
When all of the guards rushed to him, still holding back the Argonian adversaries, he recited Ralvalas' plan.
Grandmagnate Indoril Mastrius stood readying himself for battle, tightening the straps of his armour.
Suddenly Ralvalas burst into the room, a concerned expression across his face.
"Sera, the Argonians have breached the city through the sewers and I have heard reports of a seige weapon at their disposal." Ralvalas reported.
"This does not bode well," Mastrius replied solely. "I am ready for battle, I have made peace with the Temple. Go, secure the rest of the city, no matter what occurs, ensure that as many as you can manage, make it to the safety of the inner city."
"It shall be done!" Ralvalas replied, following his leader out onto the streets once more.
I'll have to go now, so this'll be my last post until tonight.
Telari tried to assuage his soldiers fears as they were all shocked at what they were to do, however, even he was scared. "This will not be easy," He said. "But remember this, our gods are on our side. While they exist, we are sure to live on after death. Azura has shown us the way, even though you may not think it, the gods are with us. Who shielded us from the aftershocks of the earthquakes? They did! Who has kept us safe until now? They did! And who will be our shield and our sword?"
His soldiers, encouraged by Telari's speech, yelled in unison. "They will!"
And they flooded into the sewers, only to be engulfed in shadow.
