IF Zenimax Online Studios is working on an Elder Scrolls MMORPG it means Bethesda is free to pursue the games they want to.
Just because something was copyrighted or trademarked or registered does not mean there are plans to use it in the near future. TES Oblivion was copyrighted or whatever at the same time as TES Morrowind, which itself was copyrighted early.

I'm more than certain there will be a significant market for an MMO-style game based in the Elder Scrolls universe. The only thing I hope is that it isn't going to be TES V. The series should remain with single player being the emphasis.

You mean simmilar to the Total War series where battles are in real time and turn based building etc.jeff wrote:Actually, you could do it like Civ III: Play the World
It can be individual Turn Based
It can be individual Real Time
It can be PvP Real Time or Turn Based

Promises, Promises...
That is exactly what it means though. Everyone takes thier turn, building, moving, ect... then once everyone has completed their moves (you may have to wait until someone else is done), the next turn starts.
It is mainly done for strategy games; Player v.s. Computer, or Player v.s. Player. I've never done it Multi-Player though, so don't know how well that works.

I'll tell you how it works with mulitiplayer: very slowly, but it does mean that two people can play against each other an the same PC one just leaves the room while one has a turn and you switch when its the others turn. Used to do that with my old neighbour.jeff wrote:Promises, Promises...![]()

I've done the PvP on the same computer before. I've done it with the Stee Panther Series. That is what got me into the Turn Based Strategy games, which lead to the 5-Star General Series, and Civ.
What I meant was that I have never done the Multi-Player (more than two players) Online thing. Like StartCraft Oline, or Civ III Online.
Ibrahim: Actually, I don't think Turn based would suit ES either, I was just saying it could be a possibility.
I also think that if they did ES as a Stand Alone RPG, and also had Online, MMORPG, it would be like Halo 4. Don't shoot, I'm not saying the game is bad, as I didn't play it. Refernce the topic, "the content was to short"; probably so players would be more inclined to play MMO mode.
Now, there is the possability that they could be two different entities entirely too. From what I read, they are making a totally different Online department.
1.) An ES V single player RPG.
2.) ES Online MMORPG
