Greatest Hero or person thus far?

Post by Mac of Four Winds »

So who do you think is the (greatest, legendary, infamous, heroic) person thus far in The Elder Scrolls history? And how do you think your Dragonborn in Skyrim will rank among them? Let me know what you think!

I think that Dovahkiin will be the best- he or she is saving the world from a bunch of dragons that I'm assuming are everywhere.
So in The Champion saved Cyrodiil and some of the other provinces, they also ruined the government in doing so as well as cutting off pretty much all contact with the daedra other than shrines.
The Neverine only really saved Morrowind, which wasn't much, and killed some poseur gods.
I never played Daggerfall so I dunno.
Arena did something that had to do with a staff or something, I don't really remember....
Cyrus, while being cool, only did something with a rebellion...

Moved because, yes, there is a world outside of the Skyrim section.

Nice. I was thinking about it and would have to say Tiber Septim. The man was a beast. And look at all the land and peoples he defeated. The hero of Oblivion is mighty as well.

Hmmm... I was always intrigued and mystified by Lord Vivec. There was something majestic and mysterious about the way he looked and how he was presented in Morrowind. As a young kid I never really understood him until later.

Saint Veloth 8). He perpetrated the greatest exodus in the history of Tamriel, and he helped create the Chimer people.

Saint Jiub.

Drove the Cliff Racers out of Morrowind.

How funny would it be if he drove them OUT of Morrowind, and INTO Skyrim?

Gortwog Gro-Nagorm, gave the orcs a home by killing a breton, which is awesome. He's a really heroic character and as an orc player i think he's just great

Lord Sheogorath, he has made the shivering isles crazy, and then made them orderly, and then crazy, and then orderly, and so on. For thousands of years, pretty heroic if you ask me.

Yeah it's mainstream, but I have to say Martin Septim, I mean, the man turned into a dragon and killed a Daedric Prince!

LORKHAN^^, without him there would be nothing. Even as he was a daedra, he created NIRN (yes technically he did nothing, only trick the Aedra beings into it), so everybody should give him respect.

Yes and they rewarded him by killing him and sticking his heart in a hole in the ground, literally.

You would also be [&@%!] if somebody tricked you into sacrifing more than half of your power, just for his own good, would you not?^^

Are divine beings really eligible for this? If so, freakin' Akatosh. I mean, who else?

If not, then I'm not sure. The hero of Arena did some amazing things, and so did Tiber Septim (technically Talos?). I think I'm gonna have to go with Martin Septim.

I can't believe anyone hasn't said this but Saint Nerevar Indoril. If he didn't exist, nor if he did die on suspicious circumstances, the "Nerevarine prophecy" wouldn't necessarily exist. And we'd be just some hero, without a name.

That or Lord Vivec/Vehk.

Arch-mage Traven, who lives in a rock in my pocket for the sake of defeating Mannimarco. Dying is one thing, but what do you suppose happens to the souls in the soul gems while they wait to be used up into nothing? Do they just sit in there, unable to see or hear or touch and can only think? o_.

ps/ Okay, so maybe not the GREATEST, but he deserves a little appreciation ._.

Lol that's pretty funny I never thought about the souls in the gems. Just being in there angry. It's like Pokemons in there little balls. Back on topic, thank everyone for the posts. I think "greatest person" is really subjective and it's been interesting seeing the different opinions and certain bias toward games and races.

No-one compares to the Nerevarine.
