Re: The Official Morrowind trivia game!
Karma is correct, it's Indarys Manor.
I'll post my reasoning just for comparison, though you were pretty much spot on with the first half.
Like the phoenix, from ashes sprang life
Located in the Ashlands and the manor is built from nothing
Two brohters I have, though maybe a third
Rethan Manor and Tel Uvrith are the two "brothers" with the Factor's Estate being the third if you have Bloodmoon
Choosing to fight will yield me to you
Redoran is considered the "fighter's" house
Though joining my brothers may still see a struggle
If you join either other house, you may do the quest where you kill Indarys
Landmarks nearby? Well there aren't really many
Pretty self-explanatory, not much around
Look for a place with triple D's and a literal W
The nearby cave of Obidaal contains Dandynea Rothalen, Daynasa Tharen, Duldresi Senim (The Triple D's) and Ulvon Uleni (Literally a Double U (W))
Good job Karma, your go.

Re: The Official Morrowind trivia game!
Yehaa!
I don't pay much attenion to the names of people I kill, so probably why I didn't get the last parts right.
Really neat question BTY.
Ok, so as we seem to be going for verse as the way to do these things.
Blessed by a Goddess,
I strode in with confidence,
But my final shot went awry.
So I grew despondant,
And hid, and withered, and died.
But a year longer had I waited,
I would have celebrated,
I should have known a Goddess would not lie.
Who am I?

Re: The Official Morrowind trivia game!
My immediate thought is that it is one of the failed Nerevarines in the Cavern of the Incarnate. I'm not home right now so I can't check but that's just my initial thought.

Re: The Official Morrowind trivia game!
If it is one of the Failed Incarnates, I'd be inclined to guess Erur-Dan because he claims to have despaired in later years and the riddle suggest that the subject "grew despondant [sic]".

No, not one of the failed incarnates.

Don't worry about it, it happens to all of us

Indeed I am. From the rather uncommon book Vernaccus and Bourlor by Tavi Dromio.Milder Despues wrote:You are Bourlor.

Incidentally my favorite book, or one of, at the very least.
And a really "narrow" question from me.
Which person in Vvardenfell will eventually, barring trauma, outlive everyone else?
*Vampires are not persons mmm'kay.

Re: The Official Morrowind trivia game!
If by trauma is meant, by physical wounds and injuries the answer should be our main character that beat the game.^^

That has to be some kind of a record.
I always find it cool that the MC becomes ageless after the second trial.
Anyway, nicely done, your turn.

Re: The Official Morrowind trivia game!
So here is the new one:
Two ways of use,
but one you can't choose.
Two different kinds,
both open your minds.
But using alone,
nothing is grown.
Maybe a bit miraculous, but I will give hints if it is to hard.

Re: The Official Morrowind trivia game!
Trueflame/Hopesfire? Technically, Trueflame is both a torch and weapon, but the torch part's automatic...Those, and Hiricine's ring spring to mind.
...Or is it non-expansions?

Re: The Official Morrowind trivia game!
All wrong, it is NO weapon^^ ( it would look awesome if it was) and its not added by an expansion.

The grown is more literally as I needed a word that rhymes on alone^^, nothing living grows out of the item.Scozzar wrote:Geez the last two lines are throwing me off

He just said it's not, Scoz
That said...it sort of sounds like an ingredient, and the lines are referring to effects. I could be totally off, but...

Sry wrong again all and it is not an ingredient. As ingredients can be used alone, you can eat them.

Re: The Official Morrowind trivia game!
How about Skooma?
Two ways of use,
but one you can't choose.
You can drink it directly, or there are skooma pipes around, but you can't use a pipe to smoke it.
Two different kinds,
both open your minds.
Skooma is refined moon sugar. Both are described as narcotics and although the in game effect is to lower int (skooma) or um, luck (moon sugar), in RL narcotics are usually described as "mind opening" - although the long term effect works to destroy your mind.
But using alone,
nothing is grown.
Ok, can't think of anything to fit here. Although moon sugar is an ingredient, skooma is not.
Oh, forgettit, time for a re-think. Just throwin' out ideas.

Very good it is not skooma, but it is involved with it. You will have if soon.

In that case is it moon sugar?

Re: The Official Morrowind trivia game!
No it is not, sorry. A little bit farther away than skooma. It couldn't be moon sugar cause you can use it alone.Knight Captain Kerr wrote:In that case is it moon sugar?

Re: The Official Morrowind trivia game!
What about the empty vial?
Two ways of use,
but one you can't choose.
Skooma comes in it (1) and you can find it empty (2), but you can't use an empty vial for anything, I think so you can't choose to use it.
Two different kinds,
both open your minds.
?
But using alone,
nothing is grown.
You can't use an empty vial.
I'm not sure what vampire blood comes in, maybe the same type if vial.
Edit: Just found some, no. So the vial style is only found empty of full of skooma.

Sorry wrong again, but you did post the answer in your previous post even with one part of the explanation but don't recognized it...
