trouble in gandrung caverns

help, i have been playing morrowind for several months now, I play on the xbox using the game of the year edition. I have not completed the main quest on
morrowind. I got bored so I went up to Solstheim. I have started working the
main quest there. I am doing the smugglers quest and have entered gandrung
caverns several times. I am working with Lusius, we have killed 4 people, however, we have not found the 'leader', no one said 'stop don't kill me, take this
silver sword, spare me!' thus the quest does not end, if I go to the captain,
he says to continue. Lusius says to "finish this". i'm stuck there is no "leader"
in that cavern.

i believe my only options are to re-start from ground zero, waking up with the guy on the ship. or giving up on bloodmoon solstheim (at least the main quest),
I could even go back to work on vardenfell.

any suggestions on how to recover the solstheim main quest.

Can't speak for anyone else, but I remember this well enough to say that there's a good chance that bad-guy #5 is in fact in there. I killed the 4 and it took me a while to find this one other turn in the cave that led me to #5... so focus on the walls and maybe you will stumble upon that other "tunnel" too? G' luck...

You need to find and speak to/kill Gualtierus Spurius at the end of the caverns.
