Re: You just woke up in Tamriel...
If i woke up in the imperial city it would be a matter of seconds to see the white gold tower from there i would "borrow" some money to buy a weapon and some discount spells in order to kill a random beggar. Then i just need to find some place to sleep and Bang! I now have a job, a place to go to, friends to talk to and it would only be a matter of time before Tamriel was MINE!!!!
If there is one thing that needs to be said countless times is that:
Argonians Ruuuuuuuuuuuule \m/!!!!!!!!!!
Argonians Ruuuuuuuuuuuule \m/!!!!!!!!!!

1. Wake up in city.
2. Attempt walking into Skyrim.
3. Fall into void because there is no Skyrim.

I'd wake up in the imperial city before the oblivion crisis, and use my knowledge of canon to pretend to be a "prophet" or something and tell everyone what's going to happen. and i'd team up with the champion.

Re: You just woke up in Tamriel...
If I ended up somewhere in Tamriel I would firstly be utterly confused, then I would find a city, town or a kind of settlement..that is if I didn't end up in a kind of city/town/whatever in the first place. When I finally find one without dying in the wilderness I would ask people about the world I ended up in, if I didn't know about it of course but If I did I would try to find work and make a living until I can find a way for me to go back home. Probably will end up marry a rich manly man and live there foreeeveerrr

Re: You just woke up in Tamriel...
I would be a Breton (partly as I've always suspected that was linked to Briton, anyone confirm that?) and probably a mage/thief, although the latter would be dangerous. Taking my almost non-existent strength into account, I would probably see how old you would have to be to join the mages guild, and hope the business at wellspring cae is over and done with
Re: You just woke up in Tamriel...
If I woke up in Tamriel I would go to anvil & get a job at The Count's Arms. hopefully the oblivion crisis would be over. When I grow up I would join the Mages Guild & go to the arcane university.

I would wander around aimlessly, crying for my mom, then go to the arena and make Branwen and her buddy teach me. Hit a guard, get thrown in jail, and then wait for the Emperor to bust me out. This is the condensed version, you understand. This entire plan will take me weeks.

I would start in skyrim, on the tallest mountain, and just breathe in...
Not changing this until Skyrim comes out, and even then, I'll probably be too busy... playing Skyrim...

Re: You just woke up in Tamriel...
If I had no idea where I was... Then I'd run around in circles until I see an elf or Argonian or something. Then I'd think that I'm at a LARP event and ask around. I'd promptly go to civilization, steal an apple, then get yelled at.
If I did know where I was.... Then I'd probably be killed pretty quickly. My strength is non-existent, I'm slow, and I'm about as short and a Bosmer man because I'm twelve. Either that or I'd go to a bookstore, be called a Breton, and make up a fake name and backstory. I'd get a job, probably serving as a courier or a mage apprentice. Get some money, then buy a dagger. Not a sword, I'm too weak to swing a sword. I can barely hold a katana in real life. More than likely, I'd end up being a commoner. After that, I'd probably either be adopted by someone there (keeping in mind my age, of course) and stay there for a few years, once I grow stronger I might join a guild, probably mage's if it's a rich family and thieve's if it isn't. Maybe a nightblade type character. After about ten years, I'd be about the age of most of my characters. I'd train my skills, just enough for self-defense. I'd buy a horse with the money I've earned, unless the family I had lived with owned one. If I'm in Cyrodill, I'd start at the Imperial city and then go to Cheydinhal or somewhere like that. Settle down there. Do some freelance adventuring, I don't know. I could end up being a farmer if I'm too weak to do that. Or a store clerk, maybe a priestess for the nine.
I thought too much about that, didn't I? |D

Re: You just woke up in Tamriel...
If I ended up in Cyrodiil, I would wander aimlessly around in the streets of Imperial City and look at everything and comment on how this is a dream. Then I would slap myself in the face and realize that this is not a dream. Since I'm young, I would probably find some building to stay in for a while, one that would be friendly to me. I would find somebody who could teach me in self-defense, enough so that I could have a fighting chance when someone ambushes me in the wilderness. I would then immediately go into the woods, maybe about 10 metres into the woods
, and start collecting ingredients. With my knowledge of Oblivion (I know nothing about it), I would start making money from alchemy. I would save up for a mortar and pestle, and I would start making potions for a bigger profit. Then I would find another place to live to be generous to the people that owned the place where I just stayed, and save up to buy a weapon. I would find a person who knows about using the weapon I bought and learn. I would then go out into the woods and kill some creatures and make some potions and save up to buy(rent?) a house or something, and probably get a job. or continue making potions and killing creatures.

So we wake up in the Imperial City? It would be like that one Morrowind web comic except it would be Oblivion. Still saving money for a dagger and horse to get to anvil or skingrad so I can join the mages guild is the way to go.
So we have come to solve every squabble in the village personally?

I'd go to the Priory of the Nine and replace one of the fallen knights. They pretty much spend all day boasting to each other about starting some new quest. When the Divine Crusader comes by I would make myself scarce.

Re: You just woke up in Tamriel...
Start collecting random things, then eventually be a thrifty travelling merchant.
Eventually earn enough gold and open up an actual merchant store.
From then, have enough revenue in gold to open up a much larger merchant store, closing down all other stores.
Take said revenue and open up a substantially larger store to accompany more items (Magic, armour, weapons, clothing, everything)
After my superstore would be open for awhile, take gold earned to open up a large inn/gambling pub, equivalent to a modern-day casino.
Start buying up property all over Tamriel, starting in Cyrodiil.
Become biggest-land owner.
Become King.
Find out a way to return to real life.

Re: You just woke up in Tamriel...
I'd look around the road and see a weird crab thing coming after me, proceed to run to the nearest building, a run down fort, which has bandits in it not to happy to see me. I Run to the nearest exit of the fort and jump from a height that should of broke my bones, but with a small army behind me I do no qurestion it, I head in to a town, needing to go to the bathroom and found apparently there is nothing of the sort what so ever. accidental touch a watermelon and get changed by the enter town, bandits and one mud crab. Jumping over a rock to see a bear running after me, thinking to my self why in the world are they not concern with the bear?!!?!? keep running cause apparently I can run forever, then jump in to a lake to find the mud crab, and bandits can swim even in heavy Armour, then feel something brush against my foot, I jump out of water darn quick on to a hill, leading to a cave, as I run in to it, trying to hide form them I find a man wearing black robes and see him make a skeleton appear, I quickly run no longer worried about needing a bathroom, and have three more undead join the chase I find a dead female who's cloth some how fit me even tough she was shorter, then get hit by an arrow, which hits me in the face, dose not kill me but tells me to leave the cave after all the Goblin with the bow hurt, I run all the way down a long road for what feels like hours as the sun sets and rise at a rate way to fast to be natural, alone the way a boar, imp, wolf, will of the wisp and a Billie have joined the hunt for me, I see a boat in a harbor but not before the umpteenth rat joins the chase and cross over to it, where all the folk around proced to atack as I step on the planks to the ship with the to get attacked by three pirates, then the guards comes in kills them all and arrest me for "stealing" (read as touching) a watermelon where I go in and sent to the deapist part of the dungeons and then the emperor comes I ask him "What type of place are you running here?!?!? 1 mud crab, 4 bandits, 1 bear, 8 villagers, 1 necromancer, 4 undead, imp, boar, wolf, Billie, also a goblin and a million rats! and I get arrest for a watermelon!??!?!?!" his response? "as for what you have done... it dose not mater.. that is not what you will be remember for"
He has a point, I guess those things happen ever day
and if anything eles I proebly had half the population killed
as for what happens to the empoor... lets just say you might not want to be near me there

Then I would start in Seyda Neen. I would go taunt Fargoth (maybe steal his money first by going to the hollow treestump), buy an Iron Saber from Arrille, go kill the mudcrab nearest Arrille's Tradehouse, increase my Long Blade skill, steal the items in the Census and Excise office at the start of the game, sell them to Arrille, buy Fireball, kill a Betty Netch, increase my Destruction skill, maybe buy Hearth Heal, cast that, go kill another mudcrab, plead the guards to able to rest inside of town, go rest outside of town, get interrupted by a netch, run as fast as I can to Seyda Neen, let the guards kill it, give them 3 gold for their trouble, take some things from the lighthouse, sell them to Arrille, eat some bread, and drown.POMC S117 wrote:No. You can start anywhere. Chaos, we must be on similar waves, because I would go to Morrowind and Summerset, and then also Valenwood, before touring around the other provinces as a sort of 'holiday' after I had gotten myself settled, probably on the Isles, with another home in Morrowind
.
However I think I'd try to forget my technological past and I would also either join House Hlaalu or Indoril, as opposed to Telvanni
