Art of Warfare (AOW)

Post by Iamgoofball »

Art of Warfare
It is the year 2000, on the planet of Ulera. Civilization as we know it is separated, and are split up into countries. Some are still in the medieval age, some still yet to come out of their first shelters built, some being in the age we know as the "Modern" age, with tanks, and guns, and the like.

Unfortunately, the country of Darestim has started expanding its borders, growing nearer and nearer to the country of Relf, causing fights between the two countries. Both of these countries are on the far east side of the gigantic continent that spans the earth, and are equipped mostly with medieval gear and weapons.

On the left side, the country of Delfur is at the pinnacle of technology advancement. Their scientists labor all day in labs, studying to find more technology. One half is set to military tech, such as guns, bombs, and tanks, and the other half is set to peaceful tech, such as cars, computers, and electronics. Delfur, however, is very small, and is struggling to control it's small corner of the west side of the gigantic continent.

In the middle of the continent, the people of the country of Arya live. They are very un-knowledgeable of civilization, and their weapons consist of clubs and spears. The one important aspect of them, though, is their knowledge of "Sorcery", as most people call it. The Darestim and Relf people have "sorcerers" that do "sorcery and witchcraft" on stage to earn money, but all of these tricks are false. The country of Delfur believes that there is no such thing, as fantasy novels and the like are the only instances of it being recorded of happening, and those are fiction. However, the Arya are the only ones able to manage real magic, or sorcery.

O_O_O_O_O
In this RP, instead of controlling a single person, you control an entire country, AND a single person, your country's leader. Whether your country will thrive and make it to the top of the leader-board of countries, is unknown. At the end of the RP, I'll tally up what countries won in which categories, such as, Cultural, Strategic, Battles Won, and the final Top Five countries.

Rules:

1. No God RPing.
2. Do not abuse bombs as Modern! Use them as a last resort.
3.THERE ARE NO NUKES SO DON'T SAY YOU USED A NUKE!
4.No saying "i lunched nuk at this country i win!!11!!" EVER!
5.If you are going to be gone for awhile, INFORM ME and I'll temporarily give control of your country to someone else until you get back.
6.NO ABUSING HIGH TECH(Bombs, Tanks, and the like) ON MEDIEVAL AND ANCIENT COUNTRIES!!!
7.I iz DM! You iz not DM!

Breaking rules 1, 3, and 6 can result in kicking from the game.
Breaking rule five has no warnings or issues, but can result in your country being destroyed/attacked while you are gone.
Breaking rule 7 will result in temporary disabling of your country. You won't be able to play for a day or so.

Cool, I'll sign up.

But all the countries should be in the same stage of technological development. Because a "medieval" or "ancient" nation each have a much worse chance of winning a war against a "modern" nation.

A suggestion: the countries that are not modern are larger in size and have more troops, the advanced countries are small.

Would it not be the other way around as the more advanced ones would have more medical care, better food and just have a better life. I might join this, I'm undecided. It looks interesting and, quite frankly, amazing! Well done GoofBall! And no, I'm not saying you by your full username, that would just be me insulting me.

Name: Aidan Martin
Age: 34

From there, he quickly rose through the ranks of parliament and won a landslide victory. As Prime Minister, he kept his promise and his homeland is now envied by many neighbouring cities.

Okay, I worked hard on creating this nation. A modern country with an absolute monarchy! :D

Name: (Queen) Aurore Royauté
Age: 32
Bio: Aurore is the current Queen of Hessia. She has held that title for five whole years. The Royauté family (which has ruled over Hessia for hundreds of years) is known for its harsh genetic disorders such as asthma, various cancers, depression, cardiopathy, hemophilia, and HTN. Such diseases killed Aurore’s mother, father, grandparents, and older brother. Aurore, however, was lucky enough to avoid each of these disorders. When Aurore’s father died, her brother was already on his deathbed. As a result, the throne was immediately passed down her.
Aurore is the first female to rule over Hessia, and she is also the youngest. Yet she has brought a period of great prosperity to the nation, and is extremely active with the public. She has even earned the nickname of the “People’s Queen”. Additionally, Aurore is an important Hessian military commander. As an absolute monarch, she has complete control over all military activities and research. The Hessian Armed Forces have evolved into one of the most powerful military forces in the west during Aurore’s reign. She has proven herself an excellent military commander.
Hessia’s royal family has always been the center of public attention since the nation’s medieval period. Queen Aurore is the Kingdom’s greatest celebrity. She is featured in hundreds of posters, political propaganda, fashion magazines, and TV shows. The people worship her as their ruler.
Description: With her title of Queen, Aurore always keeps herself looking beautiful. She is one of the Kingdom of Hessia’s most iconic celebrities. She has long, wavy, dark red hair. Her brown eyes are often described as being “as deep as the ocean itself”. Aurore is a master martial artist, being taught since childhood. The Queen of Hessia is extremely intelligent and rational, yet she is still young. Some residents of Hessia doubt her abilities to successfully govern the Kingdom…

Country Name: Kingdom of Hessia
Country Tech: Modern
Country Leader: Aurore Royauté
Country Capital City: Swithelm
Country Location: Northwest
Weapon of Choice: Wide range of weaponry depending on the division of military

Branches of Hessian Military

Royal Army of Hessia

Trained, organized, fearless - the Royal Army of Hessia is a massive force that has one hundreds of victories.

Royal Elite Forces of Hessia

To challenge the Royal Elite Forces of Hessia is to challenged death itself. Her Majesty’s best, these soldiers are a force to be feared.

Royal Air Force of Hessia

As frightful as Hessia’s ground forces, the Royal Air Force is a powerful military branch, and Queen Aurore’s favored.

Royal Navy of Hessia

While small, the Royal Navy is a powerful force - a force that is not to be trifled with.

Royal Hazmat Forces of Hessia
The Royal Hazmat Forces of Hessia prove an extremely useful asset of the nation. Immune to biological attack, the Royal Hazmat Forces will tear through enemies without mercy…no matter the situation.

Royal Stealth Operatives

The spies, the assassins, the Royal Stealth Operatives. Less than 100 of these elites exist. Her Majesty personally hands out covert missions to these masters of secrecy.

Royal Border Guard of Hessia

The Royal Border Guard has practically made smuggling across the Hessian border impossible. There have been almost no instances of illegal immigration or smuggling across the Hessian border in modern history. Well-armed, well-trained, well-feared.

Also, the RP is starting!!!
Dray Ulgfa of Relf stared out of the window, towards Darestim. He does not know what he would do incase of a war. He thought for a moment, and then remembered that the kingdom of Hessia was nearby. They were much more advanced then them, but if he could just get an emissary to the queen...That was it. He sent for the royal emissary, and gave him instructions to get to the Kingdom of Hessia. The man bowed, and sped out of the room, to the stables, and then to the bakery. He bought a horse and some food, and set out.

After a few days, the man had entered the territory of Hessia. After awhile, he had arrived at the city of Swithelm.
After a couple minutes of asking "where the castle was", he was finally told that there was no castle, and was directed to the building that the queen was in.
Along the way, he saw a very confusing sight. A type of chariot, apparently, but there was no horse. And it was much, much longer then a chariot, and it had four wheels, two on each end, one on the left, one on the right. And, the most amazing thing of all, was that they were not pulled by any kind of horse, but they were moving by themselves. He got quite a lot weird looks from people walking by while he stood gawking at these magical devices.

When he finally made it to the building, he said to the guard, "I am the royal emissary from the country of Relf. May you please inform your count that I am here to discuss a alliance?"
The guard stood confused, and then shouted orders at a man to go inform the queen. The man ran inside, to the queen, and opened the door to the room she was in.
"I am terribly sorry, your highness, but a man saying he is a emissary from the country of Relf wants to ask you about an alliance." Said the man.

The building, known as the "Fairfield Building" by the people of Swithelm, was the econimic management center of the Kingdom of Hessia. The Queen was currently discussing the latest rise in the stock market with one of her main financial advisors. The advisor's name was Heinrich Engel. He was an old and heavy fellow with a wrinkled face and large glasses. Yet he was well-dressed and appeared very professional behind his desk in his massive office.

The Queen was wearing a regal black pencil skirt, a white dress blouse, and a pair of extremely expensive black high heels. She wore her dark red hair long. It flowed down her back like a waterfall. She turned to the guard with an irritable expression. "Relf?" she asked in her deep, feminine, and alluring voice.

"He awaits you outside." the guard stated. "I understand that you are-"

"My Queen," Heinrich inturrupted. "We will continue our discussion later this evening."

Aurore thought for a moment with a slight frowned spreading across her face. "Very well." she muttered. As she stood from her chair, Heinrich bowed and kissed her hand. The Queen then grabbed her thin binder that contained various documents concerning the current economic state of Hessia and held it close to her body. As she passed through the door, the guard saluted her.

Aurore moved on into the long, beautiful hallway where the royal emissary of Relf was awaiting her. Many men and women wearing expensive businesswear walked about the hallways of the Fairfield Building. Each bowed as Aurore passed. The Queen's shoes lightly clicked against the marble floor with each elegant step. She stopped in front of the emissary. "Ah, so you must be the representative of Relf?" she asked. "I am Queen Aurore Royauté."

"Nice to meet you, your Highness. I have come here today to present you with a possible alliance with the country of Relf." Said the emissary. "We may not be as intelligent as you are, but we are in need of your help. The country of Darestim has been expanding it's borders, getting closer and closer to passing into our borders." The emissary, at this time, was also wearing a peasant's outfit, and in completely unsuitable clothing for talking with a queen. "I am curious as to if we could agree on a alliance of some kind." Said the emissary. "Also, these have nothing to do with the treaty, but what are those self-moving chariots? Are they enchanted with magic? And what are those metal crossbow things your guards hold? Are they magic too?"

Spoiler:
The people of Argon have their own dialect and require a translator to be present if they communicate with foreign nations.

When they're talking among themselves, I'll use English. When a foreign person is speaking to them, I'll have a translator present.
Sven Ulma, Narissa Valvus, and Alma Goman sat in the private rooms of the grand palace in the city-state Senn, the capitol of Argon.

"Argon is strong. Our military force is trained by people, not 'computers' that countries such as Delfur utilize. Our soldiers have experience even before they leave training camp." Narissa said to the others.

"The Guilds of Argon are booming with business, from the Assassin's Guild to the Healer's Guild." Sven said.

"The Church has more members than ever, we stretch all over Argon." Alma said.

"It seems like we're ready -" Narissa started.

"No. As strong as we are, we need allies. Or one really strong ally." Sven said.

Narissa nodded. "Yes. And then we can commence our plans."

Raura Falan of Darestim was thinking. He was thinking of battle plans for the war with Relf. He thought for a second, and then had the idea to conduct a peace treaty with Argon. He sent a emissary to Argon's capital, Senn. After a few days, the man arrived at the city. He proceeded straight to the building the High Council was located in, and asked to gain entry, saying he was a emissary from Darestim. The guard that was sent entered the room the High Council was in, and said, "Excuse me, but a emissary from the country of Darestim has arrived. He wanted something about a alliance, or something."

The Council members looked to each other. "An Alliance? So easily? Do they think they deserve an alliance with us? That we are desperate for their aid?" Narissa said angrily.

"We will see what they have to offer. Send him in, along with a translator." Sven ordered the guard.

Spoiler:
Typing as of this moment. Stay online.
The emissary entered, and began to speak, with the translator translating. "I have come to you this day to propose an alliance. The country of Darestim is hoping that you will help us crush and utterly defeat the country of Relf. They are growing dangerously close to our borders, and we have been getting reports of attacks on the border towns. If you wish to continue discussing this, then we can. If you are not interested, I can leave. If you are disgusted by my even being here, then feel free to put my head on a pike or force me out of the city. Which do you choose?" Said the man. Then, the guard entered again. "Sorry to bother you all, but we have a second emissary here to see you. This time, the emissary is from Delfur, and he has come with two guards "just in case", as he put it."

James Black, the leader of Delfur, was sitting at his desk, plotting to defeat the kingdom of Hessia. Then, he realized that the country of Argon had not been associated with any kinds of wars or fights with other countries or kingdoms. He then walked over to his computer desk, and did a Yoogle search of Argon. He found an wiki article on the country, and researched it. He deemed them worthy to be allies with. He picked two of his personal guard, and one of the many emissaries to head to Argon. The three people set out. When they arrived, they were baffled by the city. It seemed to them like they went back in time. When they found the building the High Council was in, they said they were there to get a alliance with the country of Argon, and that they were from the country of Delfur, and that the to armed men were for "just in case of any attempted attacks". The guard ran up again, and entered, and said, "Sorry to bother you all, but we have a second emissary here to see you. This time, the emissary is from Delfur, and he has come with two guards "just in case of any attempted attacks", as he put it."

Sven stood angrily. "You want us to wage war with a foreign nation? This is asking too much!"

"Unless, of course," Alma said quickly, "You make it beneficial to us, emissary."

"Hold him, guard. We are in a meeting." Narissa ordered.

The Delfur emissary was annoyed, but reluctantly waited. He pulled out a small, cellphone, and found he had no signal. "Darn..." mumbled the Emissary.

Mithraleen, once a glorified country in command of thriving spice-ports in the east, prosperous farming communities in the west, tiny, struggling duchies and principalities in the south, and small city states situated in the snowy tundras of the north, was a shadow of it's former self.

Although still epic in terms of power and wealth, and rivalling even the most brutal and trained armies in military power, Mithraleen had faltered to a mere backstage position in the echelons of modern countries. Even though it could still boast about near-invincible battalions of infantry, fast but powerful tanks and Jeeps, super-sonic jets and strong, endurable warships, the number of people enlisting in the army had dropped to an all time low. Despite the celebrity-endorsed propaganda detailing the benefits of joining the army, there were now more people retiring from the army than being recruited. However, the current Prime Minister, the youngest ever, is signalling change, and the speed of change will be decided on the battlefield.

As the Armed Forces of Mithraleen are at war with the warmongering, troublesome cities dotted around their island, all of their resources are devoted to destroying them, causing a few delays in hospitals and schools. Nevertheless, there is always a turning point. Always, for good or for bad. However, that will be decided on the battlefield.

Aurore snapped her fingers. Almost instantly, two elite soldiers wielding assault rifles had approached her side. The Queen of Hessia continued walking down the hallway. One of the soldiers nudged the emissary forward so that he was walking behind her.

"And how would this little 'alliance' with your country benefit Hessia?" Aurore asked the emissary, ignoring his other questions about Hessian technology.
"Uhh...Shut up, Beavis!"
