Shadowhunt. With an area damage enchanted arrows it's like taking a grenade launcher into a dungeon. Add poison to that....
Anyways, I love all bows. Ranged attacks rule! All I need now is to get enough ammunition.....
My favorite arrows are the Arrows of Whithering. There's nothing more fun than to see a character with all of his stats at 0.

What you as a player enjoy using is probably the most important.
The most powerful though are custom enchanted weapons. A perfect madness longsword can be overbuilt to 30 base damage, and enchanted with 16 frost damage, 17 fire damage, 17 shock damage, 1 sec soul trap –totaling 50 points elemental damage (80 total per strike). By comparison, Goldbrand, which I used to use, has the same 30 base, but only 22 points fire, less than half the elemental damage compared to the custom madness sword.
Plus I sometimes cast an all purpose weakness to fire/shock/frost spell on target right before sword fighting, that magnifies the elemental damage done by the sword. And by having a weapon with 3 types of elemental damage, an enemy with a resistance to frost for example won’t likely have a resistance to the shock and fire effects. Also, adding a 1 sec soul trap to the sword reduces the need to use a charging weapon like Umbra.
The same thing can be done with bows too. If you are a thief and have access to an alter of enchanting you can steal a 1600 soul gem from the arcane university early in the game to make a powerful bow. With good alchemy skills, adding poison to a weapon can do a lot of damage too –but is time consuming.
Anyway I like custom enchanted weapons the best. They are the most powerful, you can name them, and since you made it yourself –it’s personalized.

Bows, bows and yet more bows! By my mid teens, I usually have at least 1/2 dozen enchanted bows. Always have a few enchanted swords as well as back up, just incase.
Vesna, I'll prob be shouted down if I post it all again, but there are certain NPCs that stock magic arrows for your pickpocketing pleasure. Once you nick them, they're not marked at stolen. If you haven't already discovered them all, search for the old posts here.

Oh, and I like Hrormir's Icestaff. (It is kind of stupid that I had to steal it from myself as I was the Arch-Mage at the time I did the quest).
Only for show. It's not much use in a fight, but it really looks cool. Especially when I'm in the snow white Brusef Amelion's Armor. I also have Chilrend as a primary weapon.
You can say I'm "Cool" like that.

I am feeling generous. +2054.99999999...
And because according to mathematical logic, .999999...=1
So therefore, you gain 2055, and are at a score of 0. Congratulations.
I once tried making a character with all hand-to-hand. He was supposed to be a retired Imperial Guard Officer who was forbidden rights to carry a weapon because of some sort of embarassing incident with a civillian. He was powerful, and I got pretty far in the Arena...Until I levelled up to 2.

lol i never bothered with hand to hand also i dont use legendary weapons because i like modify my weapon even if its not much its still a bit.
i would say the best looking weapon would be the (spoilers here for people who have not played the main quest on shivering isles though its not exacly a huge spolier its tiny but just making sure)
the one i get from the orc after i kill the 3 adventurers in Xedilian i love the look of it though i never use it cause it doesnt improve my blunt skill im going to make multiple characters just the one that i have used atm uses blunt weapons.

Tough one... especially with all the mods I have... and with OOO, weapon statistics get all screwy.... but heres my list, not counting mods (besides official ones):
favorite for actual fighting? Ebony blade. Looks nice, has nice absorb and silence. Not the strongest, but oh well.
Favorite in terms of coolness? Tough. Mehrunes razor is nice, but ever since I had a banishing reflected on me, I haven't looked at it the same way.
Favorite for having fun? Prolly hand to hand. No, really! I like hand to hand, and though OOO helps since it unnerfs, though it still isn't really viable in comparison with other fighting skills.

Hand to Hand is indeed awesome....I go UFC on people in the Arena.Glut wrote:Tough one... especially with all the mods I have... and with OOO, weapon statistics get all screwy.... but heres my list, not counting mods (besides official ones):

I really can't stand two handed weapons, I love the shortswords/daggers/one-handed axes etc...Redwave is pretty nice sword for low level characters too....lowbart wrote:For some reason I have always had a thing for claymores.
I like the steel, silver, elven, and daedric claymores... Ebony blades all look the same.
The ebony cutlass is nice though, I keep mine on a shelf.
I play based on how I would play if it was me. Personally, I don't see myself waving a 60 pound warhammer around or fighting with a Claymore.
Ever tried to lift one of those things in real life? I'm surprised my first knight character doesn't look like a bodybuilder.
So I stick with bows and spells. I never liked getting hit or close range fighting, I'm sure my characted doesn't either.
