Lies! I actually never met Avron Gols in game, and in any case I would never name myself after a member of House Hlaalu, of all things!
If you want to know where my name really came from...let me go see if I can find it. Hold that thought!

My real name? Avron? Oh, yes...of course it is...! Why think any differently?
Ahem.
This is where my username came from; it was a story I wrote many years ago:
Spoiler:
Virmea wrinkles her nose at him. “You are insufferable,” she says, and the word sounds peculiar coming from her young tongue. “I ought to call you ‘Valis the n’wah,’ because that’s all you are.”
“Oh, am I?” retorts Valis, placing his hands on his hips. His red eyes twinkle with what Avron recognizes as amusement, and the young Dunmer grins as he folds his arms across his chest, adding in, “Ai? And what am I?”
She cocks her pretty head towards him in a motion that makes her scarlet hair sway just so. Her lips purse in agitated thought, which makes Avron’s smile turn mischievously sly. “You,” she hisses, “are Avron the s’wit.”
The boys laugh together, but Valis manages to stop and clear his throat, a stern look coming to his face. “You ought to be ashamed,” he chides. “That’s no language for a lady. Don’t let mother hear you.”
“I won’t!” Virmea turns about sharply and sashays away, but not before declaring, “But that’s what you are.”
Not very good, but the name stuck. It was awful. I was actually daydreaming about the history of my Oblivion character and got carried away, thinking about where he came from and who his family is...and that's where Avron and Valis came from. I wrote a whole story about them, back in the days where I was a writer and could write things without thinking. I very likely just saw "Avron" on a list of Dunmer names and picked it, long before I gave the fictional Avron a real story and history. It's too catchy of a name to ignore!

That's a great story Avron , I wonder if we'll ever get to meet Valis . You're right, it is a catchy name, just as Valis is. I almost was going to use 'Avron' for the Great House RP, for a secondary character, because I was going for a Hlaalu Messenger/Scout and Gols happens to fit the build.

Probably not; I never finished the story. I forgot about it entirely until the subject of my username came up, actually. But to entertain you I just put a little snippet in The Writer's Guild - you can read it. Maybe one day I will actually finish it, but I'm not exactly a writer!
It is such a catchy name though...perfect for great Redoran warriors and wonderful moderators alike.

I may have shared the story here before but if I have it's been a long time anyway so you suck it up and hear it again.
My very first play through of Morrowind didn't go so well. I was pretty much new to the whole RPG concept and had no idea how the world worked (This was roughly 8+ years ago I would guess). And when I say it didn't go well. I mean I started walking, found myself by some farm near Vivec, accidentally stole from the guy, and was killed. So I reloaded, all the way back in Seyda Neen, and went the other way. You know where the tax collector is found? You know that scrib that always seems to be there? I thought, "man that looks more like something I can kill." Little bugger paralyzed me and killed me. I then didn't play the game for 6 months, and next time I picked it up, I decided I was gonna kill every single one of those scribs that I saw. And to this day, when I play Morrowind, I will go out of my way to kill a scrib.

That story had me laughing bits of my breakfast all over my keyboard. You get those scribs, man!

Thanks Duruza! Now no more linking me to Hlaalu - I'm a Redoran girl!

I can picture you spraying bits of breakfast everywhere right now, funny mental picture . It is a nice little anecdote though. It's decided, I'm going to kill a scrib next time I play .
If I had joined after Avron, then I'd say you should, but I didn't, I'm old folk (Grandfathered RAWR) and I'm still sad I couldn't get just plain 'Chaos', this is my second choice.
Besides there was obviously a void that needed to be filled, now we just need an active member with Fetcher in their name...
My xbox live gt is UrMomLuvsMeMore...because it's true.

I've already explained where Chaos came from and if you don't know where N'wah comes from...there's no help for you...except some force-fed Morrowind...
