Peter had remained fairly quiet during the course of the last day's events; he could not, however, ignore the proposal which Jeffrey had made.

"Impossible. The three possess powers which we can't even comprehend. How do you suppose we'll discern their weaknesses?"

"Kill the three, okay." Gladro had a clear look of dread on his face as he said those words. He was doubtful that the group would survive such a conflict.

"The... three? Us?" Aarys gaped at Logan. A smile slowly spread across her face. "Pay them back for everything... Sounds great."

"Nothing to lose, no, besides our lives. And what are those worth, anyway?" Laeriel stepped rather hesitantly over to the table and placed her palms on it, leaning her weight forward and hanging her head. She seemed to find more comfort looking at the ground than anything. "I'm still not sure how a year would cover everything, unless we can relearn whatever abilities we lost."

"Well I like being alive so let's do as much training in this next year as we can. I don't want any of you to die either." said Gladro in realisation that he truly cared for the fate of the group.

"Ridiculous!" spurted Hremai, looking at Jeffery. "Unless you happen to have an aircraft, I'm outta here! I'm not going o go into a fight like that if I'm going to be close to the action! Not with only half eyesight! But I've always wanted to learn to fly..."

"Wait, Jeffrey, Jeffrey." Ashriel said, serious. "I'm not a fighter. I've spent my entire life training to be unseen. I'd be best as an agent, a spy, or an assassin, if you want. In a warrior's fight, you have to look for someone else."

"We really can't answer any other questions about why you were requested by General Sanchez." Jeffery said. "Logan, Dragovan, and Lyra were each ordered to rescue you for training. That's all we know. But I would be happy to answer any other questions you may have regarding the actual rebel organization."

Lyra suddenly appeared from another hallway that appeared to lead to a kitchen. She was carrying a large plate with twelve waffles stacked on top of it. "When you're all done with your questions, here's breakfast." she said to the eight. "And when you're finished with breakfast, we'll head out to the base."

Laeriel wandered over to the waffles and the woman holding them after a minute of thoughtfully pondering over what Jeffery had said. This General should be ready to answer a load of questions, whenever we get to meet him. She glanced over to Lithnilillin at his comment with a bit of a raised eyebrow, a hand raising to rub at the nape of her neck.

Gladro sat down at the table. He scoffed down the waffles. He never had anything as tasty as them in his life. Did people really have food this good every day before the ICA came? he pondered.

Aarys promptly began eating the waffles, first hesitantly, then voraciously. With her mouth full, she said "Mm... thish ish delish-" She swallowed the food. "Delicious, truly."

Laeriel nibbled on a single waffle, a bit too apprehensive to be overly hungry. She finished after a few minutes of idle chewing, then she sat back, silently staring at the prongs of her fork and glancing about to the others in her group now and then.

Aarys grinned. "I wouldn't want to know you in Empire City, then! This is probably the safest place for a mortal in Andia."

"So you're actually looking forward to going back into the City and trying to kill those demons?!" Hremai said. "I would rather have an administrative job. I'd probably be better at that anyways..."
