I have it but haven't played it yet. It looks...meh. Sort of fun, but definitely not as cool as Fable I. I don't go with the whole guns and magic thing. Still, Lionhead stuff is generally worth a shot.

I enjoyed Fable 2 and 3 (Never played 1).
Yea, they weren't the best games ever, but they were still kind of fun. I personally liked the whole, buy every single house and shop in the game, and being rich, but that's just me.

That is correct. Anyone who played Fable I will realize this, since it's an important part of the plot. Ah, Fable I. That makes me feel old...

You know, neither do I, but I have to say that the guns in Fable III weren't so bad. Magic was horribly overpowered, though, so I shied away from it, although I am more of a brawn and brute force sort of person myself. That isn't what my problem with this game is, though. My problem with this game is that it was so awfully boring. I mean, really, it is boring. If you don't believe me, try making a second character. With the exception of a fleeting change in moral obligation, everything is pretty much exactly the same. To me, that's boring. I realize not everyone agrees with that, but I like variety. To me Fable III is more of a, I don't know, very straightforward and narrow story that you play through as opposed to a game with any real roleplaying possibilities. I suppose I am just used to my sandbox games now, where the possibilities are endless - even if the main quest is always the same.

That, and the ending was the most dissatisfying thing I have ever been subjected to. Bah, humbug!

Fable 1 was good for the time it released, but the thing about Fable 1 is it did not make a name for itself like Morrowind did.. Meaning people don't play it anymore.. Fable 2 was BAHHHHHHHHHHHH, and #3 I didn't even bother with trying out..

I loved fable 1, I mean I was literally in love with Fable 1 and as I waited for Fable 2 I went onto the forums almost everyday (much as I am with Skyrim), I was always the first one to know about every detail. Then. I heard that you couldn't die, that was the first step, that was how it started, that was how the PILE OF CRAP that we see today as the "Fable Franchise" began.

I bought Fable 2 and Fable 3 and they were both crap, I played all the way through. I actually thought Fable 3 was better than Fable 2 but that might be because I was so hyped up about Fable 2.

It is no longer and RPG at all, it is an "Action Adventure" perhaps the worst game genre imaginable, but yet Fable makes the rest of it seem good. C'Mon, action adventure games, they typically have the least depth, and the shortest playthroughs and FABLE, FABLE! Actually makes them seem good.

Fable is Custers Revenge compared to any other game worth speaking of and, furthermore if The Elder Scrolls EVER takes any turn in the direction that Fable did I will PERSONALLY KILL Todd Howard followed by Peter Molyneux and then gouge out Peter's Eyes and eat them in the hope that anyone who can make a game THAT BAD must have some sort of magical powers. AND DON'T YOU DARE THINK I WON'T!

The Action Adventure genre has a completely different purpose to it than RPGs, or other genres and like any genres they have games that do things well and games that could be better, and games that just rather outright suck.

I did just end up rambling a bit so sorry, because you're right, action adventure is a valid genre and I actually really like the legend of Zelda and some other games like tomb raider which, now I come to think of it are part of the Action Adventure genre.

To sum up: I do think Fable 2/3 suck but not for the spurious reasons which I blurted out yesterday. I apologise for insulting the Action Adventure genre, not just to you but to myself because It is a valid genre which I sometimes enjoy.

It says there's all of these moral dilemmas in the game, when all there is in reality is just choosing between two rather illogical and really extreme options. There's also almost never a neutral option, which I absolutely hate. (Don't even get me started on the third game's choices where you can be evil, or you can be poor. They won't even give you that much of a choice.) And despite what choices you make, being good or evil has almost no effect on the overall narrative.

I'm to my surprise quite enjoy Fable 3 , but yes, the game has numbers of flaws like the one that you've mentioned. The most annoying flaw is that there is no map, only the stupid three dimensional that is in the sanctuary. Plus I hate sanctuary and Jasper, every time I enter the place I might want to punch him in the face. Why can't they just make a standard save menu. Other than that, it's fun enough.

That gameplay looked terrible! They completely changed what fable is, I don't know about you, but if I where a fable fan, I would be enraged.. Wouldn't you just love Bethesda making the next elder scrolls kinect only, where you are moved automatically to where you go rather than exploring an open world? where there is no customization and it is 1st person only? Where you have to deal with the tediousness of motion gaming which is just not up to par yet? Where RolePlay doesn't exist?

oh, and it still looks easy as hell... Lionhead is going to loose a lot of their audience, I am sure of.

and.. Who likes those stupid games where you are completely guided automatically, unable to move where you want? The new Fable is an arcade game!
The creator of the fable series said he wanted to make the perfect game, but they utterly failed.
