Re: Andia: The Revolution (WWII-ish fantasy roleplay)
Peter allowed himself a generous amount of time in the kindly provided showers; he felt relatively safe in the group's current location, and consequently saw no reason to rush. Once properly cleansed, Peter dried himself and wrapped the towel he had used around his waist in order to save himself and any he encountered from a very awkward situation.

"Finally." Lithnilillin exclaimed and entered the shower. He let the water run over his body, his eyes closed for several minutes before he started washing himself.

After washing Gladro also dried himself and placed a towel around his waist.
So we have come to solve every squabble in the village personally?

Re: Andia: The Revolution (WWII-ish fantasy roleplay)
When Lae finished bathing, she delicately shook off each leg to rid it of the water droplets, each drop clinging to her frosty skin before flying off. Running her fingers through her cold, wet hair, she quietly sighed. Getting used to this newfound freedom and energy would take awhile.
Searching around for something to cover herself with, the Frost Elf spotted a bathrobe. Gingerly draping it over her slightly damp form, she secured it snugly about herself before stepping out of the little cubicle. A flick of her hair sent more crystalline droplets flying, and she lingered for a moment, happily inhaling the wet air.

Re: Andia: The Revolution (WWII-ish fantasy roleplay)
Valentin stood and let the water run across his body for a moment after he finished washing himself. He had no idea if he would ever have the oppurtunity to experience this feeling again. Finally, after he had enough, he turned the water off and dried himself with the towel. He pressed his face into the towel as he dried his hair. It smelled...clean - a new aroma that he had rarely even thought about back in Empire City.
After drying himself off, the human wrapped the towel around his waist and stepped out of the cubicle. He leaned up against the wall and pushed his dampened hair back with his hand as he let out a sigh of relief. He turned his head slowly and looked at Lae. He nodded to her. "Isn't it hard to believe that people used to experience this every day before the Commission took over?" he said to her. "It's pretty sad that we're amazed by showers and couches to sleep on."

Ashriel washed himself quickly, wanting answers fast. As soon as he got out, he announced "I still want to know what's going on here. And I need a gun."

Ring-a-ding, baby.

Re: Andia: The Revolution (WWII-ish fantasy roleplay)
"No, please, ask all you like. I'll probably go around [&@%!] about that a lot, so you'd better know. Back five, or maybe six years ago, I went outside. That may not sound of much, but it was the last time I dared venture outside my building in a radius of 100 metres. I got assaulted by a group of ICA patrolers. Gave me a beating. They left me on the street, bleeding. [&@%!] thought I was dead. I wasn't, obviously, but they mashed my eye into a mess. When I finally saw my reflection by coincidence a few months later, I saw that all of the iris and pupil was gone. Probably either left it on the street, or else I don't know what happened." Hremai said, looking at Logan. "But I'm okay about it. It's just not nice not being able to determine if that ICA man is 50 metres away, or 500 metres away."

"I'm sorry." Logan said sincerely. He took another sip of coffee, and then looked back at Hremai as if he'd just realized something. "I never offered you any coffee!" he said with a chuckle. "Would you like some? I'll glady fetch you a cup. Or would you like me to take off and let you sleep?"

"I don't know. I don't think I've ever had coffee. And really, you get used to very little sleep after... after... some time..." she yawned heavily and leaned back, closing her eyes. A few seconds later, an almost inaudible snore could be heard.

Logan stood and threw a small blanket over Hremai's shoulders. He smiled at her and sat down in one of the nearby chairs, looking at the fireplace.
Meanwhile, Dragovan and Lyra were sitting at a small table at the corner of the room playing cards. "Got any 1's?" Dragovan asked Lyra.
"Go fish." Lyra replied.
Dragovan threw the cards onto the table. "F*ck!" he shouted. "This game is bullsh*t!"

Re: Andia: The Revolution (WWII-ish fantasy roleplay)
Aarys stumbled out of the cubicle, a happy smile on her face. The bathrobe was cinched, and she absentmindedly dried her hair with a towel. "This place is amazing." She stated, collapsing onto one of the couches.

Valentin left the showers just a few moments after Aarys and headed into the main room. He smelled coffee. "You cooking something?" he asked Lyra, not knowing what coffee was or what it smelled like.

"That's coffee, my dears." Lyra told Valentin and Aarys with a short laugh. "It's a drink. We're all out, though. Logan took the last cup."
"I took the last cup?" Logan asked.
"You sure as hell did!" Lyra replied.
Dragovan frowned at Logan. "Logan, you stupid ass!" he scolded. "I told you that was our last container of coffee!"
Logan cursed. "Damn!" He let out a sigh and then looked at Aarys. "How was the shower, miss?" he asked her.

"Well," Aarys said, grinning. "I feel clean for the first time in years. Which, I guess, is fairly self-explainitory."

Re: Andia: The Revolution (WWII-ish fantasy roleplay)
Valentin sat on the last empty couch. He stared at the fire burning in the fireplace again. "You know," he began. "Call me crazy, but I don't feel like sleeping. I feel like running around and doing something! This is the first day in my entire life that I've been free. And it's also the first time in my entire life that I've been clean! Bloody ICA..." He looked at Aarys. "You and I are dancing tomorrow." he said with a smile. "That's a fact."

Aarys laid back on the couch, and closed her eyes. "Mmm... Sounds like a plan," She murmured.

"Well, you get a good night's sleep." Logan said to Aarys. He turned to Valentin. "And you, sir, need to get some bloody clothes on. I can't let you fall asleep there with nothin' but a towel around your waist. Some awkward situations could occur."
Logan stood and pointed to a door on the other side of the room. "That door there leads to the men's dressing room." he told Valentin. "There's a few changing areas in there for you to use. Take anything you want."

Re: Andia: The Revolution (WWII-ish fantasy roleplay)
"Not that hard to believe," Laeriel belatedly muttered, smoothing her hair back one last time before walking up behind the two playing cards at the table. Eyeing the back of Lyra's head again skeptically, she cleared her throat. "Excuse me, but now that we're in a saf--a relatively safe place, would you mind telling me what plans you have in store? For us, for your hopeful revolution, and so forth." Her eyes flicked between Drago and the Sun Elf, an eyebrow raising to punctuate her question.

"Right, right." Valetin said. "I understand."
He stood and headed into the dressing room. A few moments later, he reappeared wearing a black sweater, black pants and boots, and a dark gray leather jacket. "Holy sh*t!" he said. "I'm wearing actual clothing. This is the best day of my life."

"Good for you." Logan said to Valentin. "Now go lay down and get some sleep."
Lyra sighed. "Our leader, General Augustus Sanchez, is organizing an elite team of soldiers to carry out various black operations that will hinder Immortal Commission occupation across Andia." she told Lae.
Dragovan tapped his fingers on the table. "If all goes as planned, the eight of you are going to become part of that team." he said.
