Gladro climbed onto the truck quickly and without question took his seat.
So we have come to solve every squabble in the village personally?

"I hope this place has good food too." Valentin said. "I was getting sick of eating garbage in Empire City."

"How about we stalk straight into the city, and gun don the Three Demons, there will be plenty of food for us then!" Aarys said, her voice dripping with sarcasm. She laughed, grinning.

Valentin grinned at Aarys. But her comment made him think. "Does the Commission even live in Empire City?" he asked the others. "I've always wondered where they lived."

"Oh yes," added Hremai, immediately catching the sarcasm, "And while we're at it, why don't we just make mechanical bird wings and fly in there?"

Hremai snickered uncontrolably, taking a seat beside Aarys.

"How stupid are you? Geez..." she muttered in Ashriel's direction.

"Hell with that." Valentin said to Ashriel with a smile. "I would rather die than be trapped inside a bomber that you're controlling."

He then raised a finger in the air as if he had an idea of his own. "How about we steal a submarine?" he said.
"Uhh...Shut up, Beavis!"

"Hi, Horny, isn't it? Hi Horny, I'm Ashriel. I can assure you I am not an idiot. 90 percent guaranteed."

You don't like Ashriel. I am fantastic. :P (Looks like a bit of sarcasm is carrying over to this spoiler. I can't help it.)
"Calling me stupid, that doesn't start fights. I understand." Ashriel said plainly.

"It's Hremai, idiot," Hremai said surly. "I'm actually happy I can't see you with both eyes right now. The sheer amount if idiocy would probably drive me mad."

She turned towards Aarys. "I don't know if you got that, but my name's Hremai. Don't bother with my last name though. It's wuite ridiculous."

Laeriel raised herself back into the vehicle, curling up and sitting cross legged. She propped her chin on her hands and raised an eyebrow at Peter, since she hadn't heard much vocally out of him. With a brief succession of squirming, she maneuvered herself into a position where she could look over the rebels' shoulders, and out through the window. The elf's expression was still slightly wary, and her gaze bore particularly cautiously into Lyra's head before she glanced backward to the others. Both ears turned and flicked in the direction of the speech.

"I doubt he was trying to start a fight," she chimed in. "I just imagine we're all rather...disoriented, considering the events so far today."
