Re: Andia: The Revolution (WWII-ish fantasy roleplay)
Gladro joined Asrys in hiding behind the truck leaning against another wheel. "Yes, guns, guns are good." he said.

So we have come to solve every squabble in the village personally?

"Relax." Logan said to Aarys, almost as if scolding her. "They're not even headed our way. Everyone just stay quiet and wait for them to pass."
Dragovan knelt behind a nearby boulder with his Thompson at the ready.
The convoy of Shards slowly passed until they were out of sight.

"Dammit, I hate this thing!" she muttered, angrily pointing at her left eye, which was glazened, and without any color, it having been almost completely destroyed to a gooey mass several years earlier.

"This is exciting, isn't it?" Ashriel said with a mischievous smile. "Why don't you show us what you got, rebels?"

Ring-a-ding, baby.

Re: Andia: The Revolution (WWII-ish fantasy roleplay)
Lae had slid down to the ground beside the vehicle as soon as she saw the Shards coming. Once the threat had passed, she let out a breath from behind clenched teeth. "Can we go somewhere safe in this compound of yours?" Addressing the whispered question toward Logan, she slunk to stand behind Ashriel.

"You try doing that when you're half blind! I have to use a spell to measure distances! How easy do you think it is to see everything from only one angle. I perpetually aim too far left with anything!"

"But there are places that are less dangerous." Lithnilillin replied. "Let's go inside."

Re: Andia: The Revolution (WWII-ish fantasy roleplay)
"Oh joy, more darkness... I was beginning to like being outside for once. It's easier to see stuff!" Hremai mumbled, "Besides, every time I go somewhere dark I begin to wonder why we're the only elves who aren't called 'x elves'. I mean, 'Drows'? It sounds like something that'll jump out of a swampy area and eat your children! And before anyone says so, I know this is irrelevant, and that I should be happy not to be dead. But that's pretty damn hard when you're useful for nothing!"

"Drow is the plural not Drows." Lithnilillin corrected. "Where have you been living? Underground?"

"You are so funny Ashriel." said Gladro in a very monotone sarcastic voice.

"How can't she know about her own bloody race? The word's in her own language for crying out loud!" Lithnilillin exclaimed, evidently annoyed by Hremai's ignorance.

Lyra quickly approached Hremai. "Come here." she said. She then grabbed Hremai's wrist and removed the wrist irons. "There you go."
"Alright, then." Logan said out loud. "Everyone get back into the armored car. Dragovan and Lyra - you're with me in the front. Let's move!"

"Thank you, Gladro. I try my best, and I appreciate comments from the less funny folk. " Ashriel said lightheartedly.
"Calm down, guy, we aren't exactly in a cultural world right now. Drows sound just as good as Drow. You could say Drowies."

Re: Andia: The Revolution (WWII-ish fantasy roleplay)
I've been alone since I was... er... 5? 6? Something like that. Mom and dad must've found me too young to teach me about it! And excuse me for not just going to the library to look it up! Everything I know is based on what I look like. And maybe other Drow which I'd seen. And pardon me for slipping in the grammar, but I hope you'll excuse me, since I don't think that's really important at the moment. I hope you understand that, Eru. What's making you so jumpy?" Hremai said, slowly climbing aboard the truck, carefully trying to find the steps.

Valentin climbed into the armored car. He took Hremai's hand and helped her inside as well. Afterwards, he sat across from Aarys and rested his head against the wall.

Lithnilillin said nothing and entered the truck. If he had been in any sort of pleasant mood before then that feeling was gone now. His usual expressionless face took the place of the mild smile that had started to make itself comfortable on his lips.

Re: Andia: The Revolution (WWII-ish fantasy roleplay)
Peter climbed aboard the truck without a word, a bit irritated by the group's unnecessary zest. Many of those present were elves, which was not something he resented, but he did feel a bit akward in any attempt to make conversation with them.
