Laeriel clicked her tongue. With a frustrated exhalation, she turned her head again, glowering at the floor with agitatedly twitching ears, resting her forehead against her knees.

Ashriel looked at Laeriel. "You seem down. Any particular reason for that?" He asked with a smile.

"Well, besides living in a total hell where a triumvirate of thoroughly evil creatures rule society, and having to rely on two 'rebels' we don't even know who are taking us somewhere, as well as being trapped in a bloody car with a bunch of other squirmy and talkative people, not really." Lae continued glowering at the floor, as if it had done something unspeakably horrendous to her.

Dragovan rolled his eyes. "Just stop talking." he muttered as he reloaded his Thompson.

Logan then pulled the armored car over. A young Sun Elf woman was awaiting them at the side of the dirt path. She was carrying a bazooka and had a machete sheathed at her waist. When the car stopped, Logan and Dragovan hopped out of the vehicle and approached the woman.

"It took you guys long enough." the woman said to Logan and Dragovan.

"Tough words for someone who just sat on the sidelines and watched." Logan replied.

The woman cocked an eyebrow. "I blew up a jeep." she stated. "That counts." She motioned towards the armored car. "Are they in there?"

"Yeah." Drago replied. "All eight of them."

"Good. Open the doors."

Drago nodded and approached the doors of the armored car. He opened them quickly. "This is Lyra." he said to the eight mortals, pointing to the Sun Elf woman.

"Hello." Lyra said. "I'm going to remove the wrist irons from each of your wrists. So each of you get out here and hold your wrists out for me."

Aarys quickly obliged, jumping out of the vehicle and holding out her wrists.

Lithnilillin nodded and got out of the car. He stood behind Aarys, eager to have his shackles removed.

Even after the Sun Elf requested they held out their hands, Lae simply sat for a moment more, no doubt trying to simply come to grips with this analagous morning. After a moment of bracing herself, she heaved another sigh, rising from her spot and stepping onto the ground. With a skeptical expression aimed at Lyra, she cocked her head to one side and slowly moved her wrists forward.

Raul excitedly hopped out of the jeep and walked up to the fellow sun elf.
He held his wrists, trying to hide his eager grin.

Lyra used a knife-like key to remove the wrist irons from Aarys, Lithnilillin, Lae, Raul, and Gladro. The moment the wrist irons are removed, each of you feel a rush of energy enter your veins.

Aarys swayed dizzily for a moment. "Whoa..." She grinned. New fire sparked in her eyes. "Ah... Vive revolution?"
She profusely thanked Lyra, then mischievously asked Dragovan, "Do you have any showers?"

Upon having her shackles removed, Laeriel shivered thoroughly. Of course, in context of her other rather surly actions so far, it could be taken as a gesture of disgust. What it really represented, however, was the rush of excitement and lack of fatigue she had only faintly recalled. Now, she didn't feel drowsy at all. It seemed as though everything got more vibrant, more colorful, and she felt more alive.

Glancing from wrist to wrist, she flickered her gaze towards the Sun Elf once more, and nodded her brief thanks.

She smoothed back her hair with both free hands, swabbing her dry lips with her tongue and glancing up towards the sky with a muted respect. "Seems like there's hope again."

Dragovan flashed a smile. "Of course." he said to Aarys and Gladro. "The estate has many showers for rebels to use."

Raul couldn't help it, he felt a rush of emotion. He has never felt happy before in his entire life. He began to laugh!
"I feel so, so GOOD!" He chirped as he did a cartwheel in mid-laughter.
As he got back up he thanked the other sun-elf and tried to hug her.
Regards.

Aarys laughed, and hugged Eru briefly. She turned to their rescuers. "Thank you... All of you, for..." She gestured to their immediate surroundings. "All of this."

Rubbing her wrists absently, Laeriel wandered back to the vehicle. Approaching the front seats, she stood on her toes, peering inside, looking for any possibly weapons or valuables the rebels hadn't taken. Not spotting anything of interest, she turned and leaned against the front door, watching the others and waiting for whenever it was time to head off.
