Re: Andia: The Revolution (WWII-ish fantasy roleplay)
"This just fuels my reason to fight them." Without warning, Ashriel banged his metal cuffs against the wall of the limo. "I just need these things off." He experimentally bit one, hard, to see what damage would be done.

Ring-a-ding, baby.

The cuff sent an extremely painful shock through Ashriel's teeth. The shock spread across his entire body. It wasn't enough to kill him or seriously harm him, but it was surely painful.

"I don't know if I'd recommend that," murmured the sprawled-out elf. She shifted to pull her knees up to her chest, hugging them with a bored expression.

"Y-y-y-y-y-you d-d-don't s-s-s-say." Ashriel gasped, still suffering from the effects of the shock. Once it was over, he noticed hs curly hair was now sticking up in all directions, so he worked quickly to mold it back down.

Laeriel examined the inside of the vehicle, looking for anything remotely sharp or possibly useful. Her ears twitched quite sensitively now that she was becoming more awake.

"Calm yourself." Lithnilillin calmly said to Ahsriel. "It is no use fighting over something that cannot be changed. We must adapt to the situation."

Re: Andia: The Revolution (WWII-ish fantasy roleplay)
Suddenly, a small light emitted from the wilderness on the edge of the valley on the left side of the road. The light seemed to be getting closer and closer to the convoy. Eventually, it became clear what the light was.
It was a rocket.
The rocket slammed into the side of the jeep at the head of the convoy. The jeep exploded, sending the burning skeleton of the vehicle (along with the ashen corpses of the Shards that were in it) into the fields. The other twelve Shards that were inside the two jeeps and the armored car began shouting orders at each other as the convoy stopped.
At that moment, a 1933 Fritz Model B-18 Sedan burst from the thicket and sped down the hill towards the convoy. A handsome young Drow man appeared in the window of the car's passenger seat. He was armed with a Thompson M1928. The man unleashed a series of rounds on the Shards as the sedan came closer and closer to the armored car that contained the eight mortals.
The Shards, of course, quickly returned fire. Their hellish bullets tore through the doors and windows of the sedan, but the car still continued forward. The sedan came to a halt just behind the armored car containing the eight mortals. The Drow man carrying the Thompson, followed by an equally handsome Human man carrying a Sten submachine gun, quickly got out of the car.
"Holy sh*t!!!" the Human shouted. "THEY'RE F*CKING EVERYWHERE!!!!!" He ran to the front of the armored car, smashed through the window of the driver's seat, and killed the Shard driver with a knife. He then shot the ICA soldier in the passenger seat.
"You drive!" the Drow said to the Human as he fired his weapon at the Shards behind the armored car. "Get in the damn car before we're ripped apart!"
The Human pulled both of the Shards' bodies out of the armored car and dove into the driver's seat. The Drow ran around the front of the vehicle and opened the other door, quickly climbing into the passenger's seat. "GO, GO, GO!" the Drow yelled.
The Human man pressed his foot all the way down on the accelerator. The armored car moved forward with sudden speed. "Make sure they can't follow us!" he ordered the Drow.
"Got it!" the Drow replied. He fired at the Shards in the jeeps through the window as the armored car got farther and farther away. Eventually, the Shards were out of sight. "YES!" the Drow shouted with joy. "Vive la résistance!"
The Human looked through the window behind his seat at the eight mortals in the back. "We did it, mates!" he shouted to them. "REVOLUTION!"

Re: Andia: The Revolution (WWII-ish fantasy roleplay)
"What? What is this?" Ashriel shouted, almost frenzied. An immediate thought flashed to his mind, the thought of the old timers' apparent rebel group back in the apartment...

Ring-a-ding, baby.

Re: Andia: The Revolution (WWII-ish fantasy roleplay)
Lithnilillin was baffled. For the first time in years his jaw dropped as he stared at the two rescuers, unable to believe what had just happened.

Laeriel's eyes widened expressively. Her lips parted just enough to express her shock, before curling into a bright grin. "This isn't a dream, is it?" She stared at the human for a few moments before shifting her gaze to filter through the window, still in awe.

Lithnilillin shook his head in order to regain his calm.
"Who are you people?" he asked, not quite able to hide the astonishment in his voice.

"Who cares they saved us from the shards." Gladro smiled at the thought of freedom.
So we have come to solve every squabble in the village personally?

"I care. I don't know who they are." Lithnilillin replied, coldly.
"They could be working for the ICA."

"You think they'd slaughter a bunch of their own kind, only to trick us? Well..." Lae pursed her lips in thoughts. "I doubt it, but I'd rather take my chances than rot in this car until someone else finds us."

"Listen even if we can't trust them we can trust each other. We should stick together, it will be safer that way." Gladro hoped the rest would agree, terrifed at the thought of how he would survive by himself.

"Why should we stick together? I barely know any of you." Ashriel stated frankly. "As soon as these wrist-thingies come off, I'm gone."

"That just proves you don't know me. If I can't fight, I'll hide. I'm a rogue, after all. And I learned spells to help me stay hidden, though I've never actually used them..."

"Then I suggest that you keep them until we've managed to change your mind." Lithnilillin calmly said. "You won't survive on your own. The ICA is everywhere. If they see a free elf they will either re-capture you or kill you. Neither scenario is pleasant."

Aarys frowned. "Let's argue later, dammit. We need to get the f*ck away from the roads. What if another patrol comes?"
