Yup, my friends know that I am on this forum. At my age I have whittled my friends circle down into people I can be myself with, and that includes being a gamer geek even when the majority isn't. Besides, this place pops up into my conversations from time to time, as I've gone and actually made friends with several members. I don't really have a distinction between "in real life" friends and "forum" friends.

My one friend, upon her telling me I was appointed "Tea Party Moderator," started to call me "Hot Pink Mama Grizzly." If you get the reference, I might give you a cookie.

And I don't want my in real life friends here. They think that they're super awesome gamers, but they really aren't... If I told them about a blue screen of death or something, they'd just be all "WTF" and continue talking about their little Final Fantasy games.

No, no reason for them to ask, no reason for them to know. No one in my immediate family or friend circle likes TES as much as I do, so it never comes up about the game, or the website, or even where they could go to find info on the games.
