Re: The Demon of Knowledge; Elder Scrolls RP
Jane just shook her head and looked down. "At least the others were willing to die with honor." She said. Before Bun-Za could reply, Bearn stopped them. "We're here. The Emperor's personal quarters. Nylon, Ana, Jaura, and Maurice will each take a pillar. I'm going to fuel it's central power. I want you all to come in here to make it less suspicious, but you need to run like hell when they start the machine. Got it?"

Ring-a-ding, baby.

Bun-Za made no reply, but was well aware of the order.

Ormis, still shocked from the events, simply nodded. He looked back at his life, and realized he had nothing else to live for. His brother had been killed, his parents were dead, and he only had a rundown shack to return to. He was becoming reckless. He simply didn't care anymore, and hated himself for not volunteering for Shadow Field. He simply followed Jaura, wondering if it was too late.

Re: The Demon of Knowledge; Elder Scrolls RP
Spoiler:
"Mora! We've fought our way here! We'd killed your master! We've killed Haestrom the Butcher, your lap-dog! All that remains is you! Now come out and face me, father!" Bearn used the word with snide in his voice.
Fool... you think halting Chaos's progress will phase me? it will just give me more power. You didn't even kill her, really, you just wounded her. The little Wildcard brat did anyway.
"Show yourself, coward! Fight me, if you can!" Bearn screamed.
Fool... I am a god. I cannot be killed.
The Orc that embodied Hermaeus Mora appeared. Ana gasped shortly.
"See, that's where you're wrong. I do so enjoy proving people wrong but I rarely get to do it to a god." Nylon chirped in. He then flipped a small switch of Shadow Field, protected by a metal casing. The black pillar shined blue.
Following his lead, Ana, Jaura, and Maurice did the same. The four were standing in a perfect square formation, with Bearn in the center.
Eh? What is this?
"Your downfall, dad. It's been a long fight, but now we all can rest peacefully." Bearn whispered. Suddenly, he was aglow with blue fire, screaming in pain.
"Go! Go! RUN!" Nylon shouted, and all who weren't sacrificing themselves ran safely out of the room and down the stairs, not stopping for fear of how far, exactly, the black hole's radius was. Right before Jane left, she whipped around. "Bearn! I'll take good care of Siren! I love you!" Right before she was dragged away by Theo.
Soon after, Mora found himself trapped in a blue vortex circling around the room. The four who had activated the Shadow Field were trapped too. Bearn was nowhere in sight.
THIS CANNOT BE! I AM IMMORTAL! THIS CANNOT... THIS CANNOT BE! CHAOS WILL RETURN, FOOLS! AND YOU WILL GET WHAT YOU DESERVE!
With that, Hermaeus Mora was swept into the Vortex.
Nylon looked to his compatriots. "Well... thanks for this. it's been an honor knowing you." He yelled over the sound of the Vortex.
Maurice was engulfed by the Vortex.
Ana nodded. "I can finally rest at peace now, so thank you."
Nylon nodded. "We've done good."
Jaura was swept up into the Vortex.
Ana spread her arms wide and fell into the Vortex with a smile on her face.
Nylon Gerronius then followed her example.
And then, all was quiet.
The surviving Rebels ran back down to Wayne Orion, who congratulated them on their victory. For the next few days, parades were being held in every street on Nirn. Every last one. By popular demand, Wayne Orion took the title of Emperor of Cyrodiil. For the most part, Bearn's party disbanded. The Husk presence vanished and life returned to the Mortals, for Hermaeus Mora had been defeated!
But will his final threat be made a reality?
Jane, Theo, Sigmund, Allison, Philippe and the Dwemer, Bun-Za, and Ormis, gathered together on the third night after Mora's downfall. They were there to say their goodbyes; they hadn't spoken much since the event.

Ring-a-ding, baby.

Re: The Demon of Knowledge; Elder Scrolls RP
On Artaeum, many miles away, Divayth Fyr was donning his robes of mourning in his tower. The cremation and burial ceremony for those that had fallen at the battle in the Imperial City was about to begin. Too many had died, and they had not been able to recover the elder scrolls. The defeat, if one could really call it that, with Mora's demise, was a bitter one.
There was a knock at the door. It was Theydas. Divayth had adopted the young Dunmer into his household as an apprentice after he moved permanently to Artaeum. Morrowind was in ruins anyway. Theydas' fomer master, Aryon (funnily enough also a former student of Divayth's), was dead, and House Telvanni was destroyed; an early target of Hermaeus Mora.
"Master Haakon is here, sir", said Theydas, who was also wearing his funeral garb, ill-fitting as it was on the small man. Divayth nodded and followed his apprentice down the stairs.
Haakon stood at the bottom, waiting. "Are we ready then?" said the nord. "Yes," replied Divayth. "Let's just get this over with." They stepped out into the crisp morning air, and walked in mutual silence towards the entrance to the ancestral tombs near the beach.
Haakon finally spoke. "So... what now? I mean you're as good as confirmed to be the next leader of our order. The vote will unquestioningly swing in your favour."
Divayth didn't say anything for a while, and then spoke. "For now we do what we have always done - we wait, and we watch. It remains to be seen what kind of emperor Wayne will prove to be, or indeed if the provinces will resubmit to the rule of Cyrodiil. And all of that pales to insignificance by comparison to Chaos. Whoever, or whatever it may be."
Haakon nodded at the wizard's words. There was wisdom there, but being around Divayth just made him sad these days. He still remembered the old Divayth Fyr; the frivolous, joke-cracking Telvanni posessed of an eccentric fascination with the Dwemer. That man had died when Mora's invasion began, probably never to return. The nord spoke again. "Perhaps the new emperor will allow the Psijics into his halls again, just as in days of old?"
"I don't know," said Divayth, "Though I wouldn't count on it. I hardly made the best of impressions the last time I met him." He smiled faintly. "He thought me some lunatic old man. And I suppose that's what I am, really."
Haakon smiled, and the pair continued in silence towards the tomb entrance where the rest of the order waited with the funeral pyre.

Jane was the first so step forward.
"Let me be the first to say that I am lucky to have known you all. Most of you. You're all amazing people, and despite what we've all been through, you've survived and conquered. While I'm sure Emperor Wayne will ensure that we are all hailed as heroes, I'll make him remember the fallen. I remember everyone clearly, from the gruff mercenary Vandolf who gave his life for Siren two years ago, and at finally Bearn, Nylon, and the others who gave their lives to stop Hermaeus Mora." She took a breath.
"I am taking Siren, and we are moving to Chorrol. I've decided to stop adventuring and researching because Siren and Boon need me."

Ormis sat still. His voice was a little shaky.
"Yeah. I will be moving all my possessions out of my cabin and i will be moving here. I plan to work as a merchant. It has been great knowing all of you through these events." Ormis didn't know what to say.

Bun-Za stood idly, feeling unworthy to share in the camaraderie of the group. It was a rather bitter feeling- to have anticipated this moment for so very long, only to have it ruined by his own selfish and pathetically worm-like actions.

"Well," said Philippe. "I plan to follow Allison wherever she goes and continuously ask her to marry me until she says yes."
The Dwemer rolled his eyes. "I am heading back to Morrowind to find out more about the disappearance of my people." he stated.

"That will be farther away than you predict, dear Philippe." Allison said.
"Nylon and I had a long talk before the assault on the city. He left me everything he owns. Two laboratories, his staff, and over a million gold coins in equipment. It will take many years to make myself acquainted with Nylon's work, but I will. By the gods, I will become the new Nylon Gerronius. Am I ready for that?" She asked herself.
"I'm going back to the University. The mages are scattered, and they need someone to unite them. I don't think I'll ever be the Arch-Mage, because after the Mages Guild stabilizes I think I might go out adventuring. Make discoveries, find magic ruins, sounds exciting, doesn't it?" Theo said. "I'll remember you all. It was an honor to fight alongside you."
Jane appeared next to Bun-Za. "I'm not saying I can forgive you, but everyone is redeemable. Remember that."
The end draws neigh. Say your final goodbyes, and depart from the Imperial Palace for a new life. You can then post a summary of your character's adventures after the war. The following roleplay will be a continuation of this one, so if you want your character to reappear post their story for the next ten years. If you do not wish for your character to reappear in the following roleplay, you may post their life story following the war.
Jane Thalias: As Jane said, she and her adopted children Siren and Boon moved to Chorrol where they were awarded a fine mansion in the village square, order of the emperor. Jane raised Siren and Boon well, and taught them everything she knows, about life, intelligence, and fighting. Jane only went out exploring around once a month now that she watched the children.
Siren and Boon: The two children quickly came to be recognized as the two most lovable children in Chorrol. They got into many mischievous adventures in Chorrol, and became best friend with each other.
Theodore Romulus Aralen Clementius III: As he said, for around two years Theo worked on rebuilding the Mages Guild, which became more powerful then ever. Although he was asked to become Arch-Mage, he rejected the offers and once he thought the Guild was strong enough, he left for Akavir to explore ancient ruins there, eager to unlock their secrets. His name quickly became famous for uncovering previously-thought-lost relics of the past.
Nina gra-Soren: Nina vanished from the Skingrad Castle the day Ana vowed to sacrifice herself. She was not heard from again by the heroes, but soon after the war a childhood's tale emerged: The Vigilante, who hunted down all of the evil people in the world. The Vigilante was described as a green-skinned woman, but much too beautiful to be an Orc.
The Matron: Remember The Matron, the Khajiit pledged to hunt Siren and Boon? She never stopped. Well, she stopped actively hunting them, but still awaited orders from Chaos, if she ever were to return.
Emperor Wayne Orion: Emperor Wayne was a fair and just ruler, knowing the plight of the average man. Later in his rule, he married a woman now known as Empress Lillian Orion. They had a child together, a boy, and guess what they called it? Bearn.
Doctor Allison: Allison took over in Nylon's labs and worked on his unfinished experiments. She quickly became, as she mentioned, 'The new Nylon Gerronius'. People slowly forgot about the old doctor, but after Allison realized this she made them remember. Selling some of Nylon's work, she gained enough money to open the Nylon Gerronius Institute of Learning, a university for anyone wanting to learn. As she was to realize in ten years, this institute will prove more valuable than she ever could have imagined...

Spoiler:
Bjorn Haakon: When Divayth Fyr absolved himself from the position of head of the Psijic order, he elected Haakon to rule in his stead. Haakon made many changes to the Psijic order, angering many old conservatives with his new plans to spread beyond the borders of Artaeum and secure for the wizards what he saw as their rightful place in Tamriel.
Divayth Fyr: Nobody is really sure what happened to the former master of Tel Fyr. He disappeared from Artaeum not long after the new emperor's coronation. It's rumoured he wanders Tamriel and Akavir, constantly searching for clues as to the nature of Chaos, around him growing a sort of urban myth of a grey wizard, roaming the lands in search of misbehaving children to drag away to his dungeon, amongst other such fanciful tales.

Over the next ten years, Ormis quietly settled down in the Imperial City. He met a women named Lyra. After meeting Lyra, Ormis slowly recovered from his depression. He always remembered his brother, Matthias, with a small portrait of him. Ormis trained extensively, becoming stronger then ever. He slowly became amazingly strong with sword to sword combat.

Bun-Za:
Bun-Za made a prompt departure from the Imperial City, returning to the Black Marsh in an ashamed and downtrodden manner. He found his home had been destroyed sometime during the conflict against Hermaus Mora; very few of the people he had known before the struggle remained alive. Angered by his own actions, and by the way in which his life had turned out, Bun-Za refused to attend any post-victory celebrations or to rebuild his abode. He wandered along Cryodiil's border with Black Marsh for a period of several months, taking his frustration out on highwaymen and bandits who he encountered on the scarcely-traveled paths. He often contemplated his own personality and selfishness, questioning whether he could ever truly become something worthwhile as his companions had.
Eventually, decisions made prior to the struggle against Hermaus Mora caught up with Bun-Za; enemies he had forgotten ambushed him on a lonely mountain path, outnumbering and defeating him in armed combat. He was beaten and thrown down a steep, rocky slope, tumbling into a shallow roadside ditch where he lay for several days. A lone monk by the name of Aalia stumbled upon Bun-Za, bringing him to her monastery and slowly nursing him back to health. Once recovered, Bun-Za remained at the monastery for nearly a year; he made no sort of conversion to the group's ways, but learned simple meditation and relaxation techniques while performing various tasks for the residing monks. Bun-Za witnessed many men and women undergo transformations here, and while it was not the correct place for his own, he realized that Jane's words were very true: redemption was always possible.
Given a more firm grasp on reality and his own self, Bun-Za departed from the monastery to pursue personal goals in Tamriel. He uncovered bits of long-lost knowledge in the form of various ancient artifacts, explored the roots of his ancestors' tribe, and traveled far and wide across Tamriel; he further contemplated his own choices and purpose all the while. Nearly four years after Chaos' apparent defeat in the Imperial City, Bun-Za began writing letters to Jane; she eventually accepted his apologies and their always-akward friendship resumed. While Bun-Za had much more time for adventuring than she, Jane occasionally found time to explore an ancient ruin or long-sealed tomb with Bun-Za; Siren and Boon did as well, once they had grown a bit older.
Bun-Za always felt a bit useless, however- he recognized that he had not yet redeemed himself in Jane or anyone else's eyes.

Re: The Demon of Knowledge; Elder Scrolls RP
Wait!
Philippe
As promised, Philippe loyally followed Allison for the next ten years. He continued to make romantic advances on her. In his attempt to gain her love, he even quit drinking. However, he proved himself to be just as useful to Allison as he was to Nylon and Qoruin. He helped her as much as he could with her experiments and invensions.
King Dracodas Lythan
Over the next ten years, Draco continued to rule Skyrim with a firm yet fair hand. The Kingdom of Skyrim prospered like it never had before. Its military grew to become the best in all of Tamriel. King Draco's castle (which had once belonged to Higil) grew to become nearly as incredible as White Gold Tower itself.
Draco, too, eventually found a wife. She was a kind, beautiful Imperial woman named Aphrodite. The King and Queen of Skyrim were practically worshipped by the people. Crime rates were lower than ever, and the wealth of the country grew to unimaginable heights. In addition, Skyrim joined the Empire once again.
Draco continued to visit Siren and Boon at least once every two weeks. With every visit, he brought them gifts like money, ancient artifacts, dogs, cats, horses, and when they got older, weapons. He also invited Jane, Siren, and Boon to the castle for a vacation at least once a year. He granted Jane a personal guard of twenty elite soldiers to keep them safe from harm.
Lyeis Aran
Over the next ten years, Lyeis continued to live happily with Calypso and his three children. He loved each of them dearly, and spent every moment of his free time with them. Eventually, he started his own hotel company called "Ayleidoon Hotels" that became one of the most successful in the world. His hotels became known for their unique Ayleid style of architecture and magical technology. The company gained him much wealth, and he was eventually able to move himself and his family into a large estate near the ruins of Nornal.
After moving into his estate, much of Lyeis' money that he continued gaining from the company went into the repairing of Nornal. Nornal became a historical sight for the people of Cyrodiil to visit to learn more of Ayleid culture.
Reille Aran
As the next ten years passed, Reille grew to become a mature and beautiful woman. She became a gladiator in the rebuilt Imperial City Arena and eventually gained the title of Grand Champion. The people worshipped her as a hero and began calling her the "Golden Queen". She became a celebrity.
Lieutenant Brisk
The lovable monkey continued to follow Siren with unbreakable love and loyalty for the next ten years. He never seemed to age, and he could always be found perched on Siren's shoulder or sleeping under her bed.
Mysterious living members of Qoruins family...
Qoruin's mother and sister continued to live in unknown locations over the next ten years. They shall appear...later.
Jacques Bonnet
The mad trader eventually moved to the Imperial City where he grew to become wealthy and successful. But on one morning, he was found dead on his bedroom floor. He had been killed by a heart attack. The madman unfortunately was never reunited with his monkey before he died.
