My recently had big gathering in realtion to my birthday. Almost everybody arrived. Tonight I had a long, long conversation with my parents (which I have a very open and good relationship with) analysing and discussing different family members, their realtionships with us and each other and so on. It turned to be very, very emotional and touching. We talked about a lot that needed talking.

Since my Great-Grandma Carmela (I'm very Italian) got put into a nursing home, I got some of her photo albums. One OLD one picture from 1935, her wedding day photo, my Great-Grandfather who was in World War II who died when I was three, and my Great-Grandmother's brother who died in WWII. Very interesting.

Thats interesting! A few months ago I found out my Grandma (now deceased) came from Italy alone on a boat across the Atlantic when she was like 10.

Both my lines af heritage have been here before the US existed, so I have no "immigrant" blood. I can't think of a single direct relative that came from Europe to the United States after the Mexican-American War.

Now, we live in the US. We are such terrible Americans.

My blood is mostly consistent of Danish and Irish :P That whole thing about the dark Irish, I have those genes

My current dads side of the family have been in a mutual shunning with my family forever now. My biological father's side of the family all despised my mother, so when he died, we never saw each other again. And my mums side is pretty much all dead, except her dad, but he had over ten kids, and mom is his illegitimate child so he doesn't really care about her, at all. In fact the last time I spoke to her dad on the phone, I referred to him as Harry, as opposed to Grandfather, and I told him he meant nothing to me, and that I wouldn't care if he died. It was in defense of my mom, who has suffered from daddy issues her whole life...

But you are Gandalf! Pull your self together! You defeated the Balrog, have probably killed thousands of orcs and you took on a Nazgul single-handedly. Watching over a sibling will be a walk in the park. Anyway, congratz.

Bf Rant

Post by Bailey18 »

Tea got spilled on my brand new $600 laptop.
My boyfriend got a nice computer from a friend and I used it for about 4 days.
He then traded it for a better computer..Yeah ok. I like the better computer.
He couldn't pay the payments on his computer so it go repo'd.
So he builds a [&@%!] computer and takes my good computer.

How fair is that? Now I have to get on a screen that makes me sick, just to play oblivion.
I'm a little [&@%!].

That sucks, but this might be better suited in here or here. Maybe a mod will come along and merge this if they deem it appropriate.

Anyway, why does the screen make you sick? Or do you just mean that its such a crappy screen that it's not worth it?

Ahh oops. Hopefully so :P

I'm pregnant and everything makes me sick. Plus he uses a 72" tv as a monitor. My monitor is a 17" so there isn't as much motion going on and I don't get nautious (sp), but he doesn't understand that.
