Re: Pokemon!
While I acknowledge what videogmer said is probably the case, if they do remake them, my guess is that one of them would be Ocean Sapphire. It has a nice ring to it, personally, and would fit with the theme of [adjective] -Game Name- that HG, SS, FR, and LG have all had. I don't have any good ideas for Ruby though.Iamgoofball wrote:Actually, I have Pearl. I'm just waiting for the annual remake of the second-to-last generation for the Ruby and Sapphire games. I wonder what the name will be this time....................videogmer314 wrote:Iamgoofball wrote: If you were a fan of the original versions of the second generation, or if you don't have any other 4th generation games, then I would definitely recommend it.

Actually, is it possible to get a shiny MISSINGNO. in the game? If so, could you show me a picture?
it is a mystery

MISSINGNO. is already not much of a Pokemon, so I don't think it can be shiny.Iamgoofball wrote:Sonixboom wrote:I know you people think that my hacks are wrong... but any of the pokemon up to gen 4 i can get you... whatever level you want, in shiny form...

according to bulbapedia... you cannot make a missingno after gen 1, cause the glitch was fixed... and shiny sprites were not added until gen 2VirtualWeasel wrote:MISSINGNO. is already not much of a Pokemon, so I don't think it can be shiny.Iamgoofball wrote:Sonixboom wrote:I know you people think that my hacks are wrong... but any of the pokemon up to gen 4 i can get you... whatever level you want, in shiny form...

You can transfer one from FR/LG.VirtualWeasel wrote:Suicune on Platinum? I would give you Portal Cake if you got me one... ... Of course, unfortunately, you'll have to deal with its pitiful IVs, because of a glitch. Said glitch makes all but one of them 0, and its Attack IV will have a maximum of 8.

If you're going to use it for competitive battling, then yes. Otherwise, it's not 100% useless. Using it would definitely be a self-imposed challenge, but you could still use it.VirtualWeasel wrote:Oh, so basically it would be completely worthless?
If you're willing to invest in the tons of money required, then I guess you could also catch one on Colosseum, transfer it to any 3rd gen game, then transfer it to Platinum. If you get it like this, then it will have regular IVs.

Re: Pokemon!
I've putting off buying new versions of the Pokémon games (at the moment my latest game is Diamond). I've decided to buy one to get back into Pokémon, however the question is which version should I buy first? I plan on buying one game out of the newest generations SS/HG (I know those games are not technically new generations) or Black and white. Which version would be best to get first to get me back into the series? I'm not sure if I should ease myself into the familiar and much loved Johto region or drop myself in the completely new Unova region. Suggestions are greatly appreciated

Re: Pokemon!
I've been a Pokemaniac for...jeez, about a year before Red/Blue hit stateside. I'm old. I've played every Pokemon title ever made and I have to say, while HG/SS is a longer game, B/W is best for coming back to the game. Why? Because the game has NO old pokemon until you beat the whole thing. It takes away the crutch of relying on old favorites. It brings back the wonder, the fact that you don't know what pokemon to look for. You won't know how high to level a pokemon to get an awesome attack or what it will evolve into.
Get Black/White, you won't be disappointed. If you really want ALL the pokemon, though, get HG/SS later and run through it to send them over. Trading from HG/SS to B/W is one way, due to HG/SS not having any of the latest generation pokemon. I'll even trade
I have Pokemon Heart Gold, White, Platinum. PM me if you want to get the game and need my friend code or whatever.

Re: Pokemon!
HG/SS it is. Now... which one to choose, haha. I think I'll go for SS as I used to have Silver on Gameboy Colour and Lugia is one of my favourite pokemon.
