I know it's not a theme song, but the Spirit Temple music from The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time has always been my favourite video game music.

You say Call of Magic, I say Nerevar Rising. Much better name.

Anyway that one is my favourite of course, but Jeremy Soule also did the NwN 1 soundtrack. This is a runnerup.

And one of the honourable mentions is the Storm of Zehir theme. It's awesome.

Speaking strictly of theme songs, which I'll take to mean title songs:

Final Fantasy Legend II - The Saga Begins
Wizball - no title
Civilization IV - Baba Yetu
Final Fantasy VI - Terra
original Legend of Zelda - no title
Gran Turismo 2 - Moon Over the Castle
Secret of Mana - Angel's Fear
Mega Man 3 - no title
Final Fantasy X - Into Zanarkand (already mentioned)
Chrono Cross - Scars of Time

lol at the Katamari theme. My jaw really hit the floor the first time I powered up that game. I was like, "This game is SO Japanese..."

Anyway, if you want more, I can keep 'em coming, but I figured 10 was probably about as many as I could get away with in a first post.

The Elder scrolls themes, Battlefield themes, and the Halo ones are probably the only ones I can think of that are legitimately brilliant as standalone pieces of music.

Wait, are we talking about game themes, or just game music in general? One-Winged Angel is certainly not the anthem for FF7, nor can all three of those Myst III songs be the one. I am all in favor of discussion about video game music, but I have a feeling the mods will try to pigeonhole us into one topic, and there is that already.
