No, probably something serious like Steve or Lewis. Well, probably something more serious than that, like Halfstar Arsebringer or whatever. I can't even remember whether I planned on making a Nord first or not; if so, Halfstar is definitely up there on the list, alongside a Dunmer/Dwemer descendant named Geezus K'ryzzt.

Nah, I like Imperials and mainly their names. I'll probably get around to playing some descendant of Carnius Magius, named Marnius Cagius perhaps.

In Oblivion? Actually, it was a dunmer, then a bosmer (this being my first real character). I finally did play an Imperial a few months back, last year or something. I just find Imperials monumentally boring, so I never tried. My reasons for being a Nord aren't simply because it's the obvious choice, but because I've never really played a Nord before. I've played every race between Morrowind and Oblivion, some twice, but I never properly played a Nord. I played one joke character once--Hans Wife-Beater--but I quickly got bored and I don't think he ever made it past level 10. So no, my reasoning is a bit different than everyone else (I assume). I actually might play a few hours as something else, just to get used to it (see dunmer character above) but I doubt I'll need to. I'm familiar enough with the series I don't think I'll have to.
