Yates then gave everyone else a quick look, as if to tell them he's simply lying to Patterson.

As Yates and Mars ranted towards Patterson, Kelly remained silent, holding his rifle to one side of his waist and while slowly scanning the remainder of the room. Any one of Patterson's seemingly incapacitated men could, in fact, be alive and/or armed.

Matt did not blatantly state that he is unwilling to continue - I didn't mean to put words into anyone's mouth. I agree, I'd enjoy seeing this through to the end as well; not my decision, however.
