I've recently started Morrowind again, in hopes of actually finishing it after 8 or so years of ownership of the GOTY disc. Though I've come across one issue: my screen size. Obviously Morrowind was made far before a 24" screen was even dreamed of. And so, doesn't have a resolution option of 1920 by 1080 pixels. And on the highest it has, 1600 by whatever, the screen is a little stretched horizontally.
I did read once, a long time ago, in UESP that there was a mod that added extra graphical option, such as the screen resolution I seek. Though I obviously can't find it.
So would any of you know of such a mod?
Also on a side note, would any of you know of a mod that adds high resolution ground texture Only. (And maybe for rocks too.)

Re: Question on Morrowind Screen Resolution
Yeah, this is the one I use Clicky. It should allow you to use any resolution your computer can handle...then again mine is rather low because it's a rather old laptop. Worth a shot nonetheless.
As for ground texture mods....it's hard to find ones like that. The only mods I have ever come across tend to change the textures to everything. I would recommend Vurt's high resolution trees though, makes them come alive.

Haven't used them but you could try:

I would suggest you try the first one first, as Planet Elder Scrolls is quite reliable. Best of luck, and please report!

I just use Morrowind Graphics Extender. On top of letting you change your screen resolution to your preference, it let's you change a few other graphical options like AA or higher quality shadows.

Re: Question on Morrowind Screen Resolution
Both the ones Dean and Andere suggested don't work, probably because I run a 64bit OS, and Morrowind doesn't reside in the original Program Files folder.
Though I will give Morrowind Graphics Extender a go. Though it feels a shame to lose Morrowind's old graphical charm.
Cheers nonetheless.

As long as you don't turn distant land on everything looks the same. Though the UI will be much smaller, but it still feels like the same game I played when I was young.

Oh, I've just set my distant terrain textures to 4096. Oh well, It'll give my Radeon 6870 GFX card a test.Mr. Mischief wrote:As long as you don't turn distant land on everything looks the same. Though the UI will be much smaller, but it still feels like the same game I played when I was young.

I believe you can shut it off, when I had it on I didn't like the look. Made Morrowind look way too small.
