I'm pretty sure it's established Lore that the Champion of Cyrrodil(sp?) became the Mad God.
I'm on a rollercoaster that only goes up

so in case you never did one of those things
then someone else did

Basically what Wolfie said, any non-main quest event is played off as "Some mysterious figure" instead of claiming the Savior against the Daedra invasion became a Daedric Prince. Only we the players know that the Champion of Cyrodiil is also the new Sheogorath (Or any guildmaster), but the world at large doesn't know this.

Re: Sheogorath?...
I agree with the theory that the Elder Scroll removed the curse on the Grey Cowl, because the previous Grey Fox couldn't remove it, whereas the Champion of Cyrodiil could. It's prefectly plausible that the character completed every faction and such. If the Thieves Guild and Dark Brotherhood were done properly, nobody would ever know the Player was part of those faction, imo, so the infamy gained from those factions never made sense to me.
I also think that it wouldn't be too much of a problem to have Sheogorath and Jyggalag in Skryim. Jyggalag could give you some OCD tasks, like... trimming his bushes

Just to be pedantic; that'd be more the domain of Peryite who is obsessed with neatness and everything being in its proper place, Jyggalag would just damn the garden and replace it with grey crystalKallan wrote:Jyggalag could give you some OCD tasks, like... trimming his bushes

Re: Sheogorath?...
It will be interesting, maybe there will be a shrine of the Champion of Cyrodill in Sykrim, Even though it won't look like your old character, maybe the previous Sheogorath worshipers will now worship your old character.

Re: Sheogorath?...
I just saw this video on another thread, and he mentioned that not all of the Daedric princes will make an appearance - he may have meant Dagon (since he'd be in bad shape after Oblivion) but since Sheogorath had such a major role in Oblivion too they may have decided to give him a back seat.

Interesting, thanks for the link.
. I hope that all the Daedra appear in their Nordic forms. That means would mean no Akatosh to save us now
(from himself) and would be a rich addition to lore.

Re: Sheogorath?...
I figure the way they'll probably do it is that becoming the madgod was just that - he/she ceased to be the champion of cyrodiil in body and mind and gradually began to take on the traditional form of Sheogorath. Back to normal, as it were.

Re: Sheogorath?...
Honestly, if that their solution to this, that's pretty f-cking lame. It's one thing to let each hero just disappear, but when you become the MAD-GOD, I expect some pretty significant changes in the Lore, really they just can't make a new model an say that's what he became. It'd be pretty hard for an argonian to go from a lizard to an Scottish drunk-psycho, and ridiculous.Jingles wrote:I figure the way they'll probably do it is that becoming the madgod was just that - he/she ceased to be the champion of cyrodiil in body and mind and gradually began to take on the traditional form of Sheogorath. Re: Sheogorath?...
The Lore says the Champion of Cyrodiil is an Imperial male, so get over it, geez.

Re: Sheogorath?...
I want to see Haskill take over. Heroes always disappear because Bethesda want people to make up their own lore. If the Champion was still the Madgod (even if completely changed), I'd be [&@%!]. Besides, he never became an actual Daedra. The Staff of Sheogorath just lent him power, and gave the rank of Madgod in the Court of Madness. It was a symbolic substitution, not a spiritual or physical one.

Nice to see Beth put their foot down finally and say that, instead of being all ambiguous and irritating about it.Argonanza wrote:The Lore says the Champion of Cyrodiil is an Imperial male, so get over it, geez.
