We know Mysticism is out of Skyrim, but it's spell effects aren't. So where will they go in terms of other schools?
Will mark and recall make a return?
Will new spells make their debut?
What do you guys think?
I'm thinking that Alteration will absorb at least Telekinesis. Conjuration might take soul trap. Restoration may take dispel. Illusion may take detect. Not sure about absorb and reflect. I guess restoration might work for absorb and alteration could take reflect as it already has shield. I guess that means Destruction is left out in the cold . But then again, some spells from other schools may migrate to make room for the mysticism ones, Alteration is looking to be huge now.

I think it'll be more like you said, Alteration would get Telekinesis, and possibly reflect, illusion could have detect, conjuration could have soul trap... I just hope they don't remove any effects like they did with levitate.
The problem with oblivion mysticism was that the absorb spells all were moved to Restoration and that mark/recall , divine and almsivis intervention werent implemented.
I would guess:
Detect Life and Telekinesis - Alteration
Dispel - Restoration
Soul Trap - Conjuration
and then there are left Reflect Spell/damage and Absorb Spell either they will go to restoration( as giving them to alteration would make it to powerfull) or they arent implemented and only achievable through items.
I'm hoping that Bethesda brings back at least Mark and Recall (and some kind of Skyrim orientated teleportation/transportation spell- maybe Skyrim will have it's own tribal/shamanistic cult in addition to an Imperial cult) to Skyrim, now that they seem to have acknowledged that a fair number of people like to play without Fast Travel and have thus provided alternatives like Carts.
I really, really, really think Soul Trap should go to Enchantment. Even if it's the only spell tied to that school, it is very logical why it should be associated with that particular school.

Enchanting is not a school of magic, so it has no spells.
Enchanting is strictly used for crafting magical items, on a par with Smithing and Alchemy.

And tell me what the purpose of Soul trap is?
To create soul gems of which the main purpose is to recharge magical items. Prior to this if you wanted a character to specialise in Enchanting as a craft but without having other magical skills you were SOL if you wanted Soul Trap. As far as I'm concerned, whilst you have a small bit of logic in what you say, doing what I suggest would be a far better suggestion for gameplay because really, what use is taking an entire school of magic when you just want soul trap to make good use of magic items?
For the couple that have asked in this thread about Mark/Recall....
Todd Howard said in one of his many interviews, that Mark and Recall will not be in Skyrim.
I can't recall which interview it was, there has been so many, but it was posted on these forums.
Yeah, like levitation and the two intervention spells. It would be nice if mark, recall + 2 interventions would be in there, just only usable if you don't fight something.
