Google - TESCS Tutorial.
This thing is nearly impossible without tutorial. It uses some highly unintuitive though quite efficient methods - say, entries from lists of spells, items etc are added to NPCs, chests and world by drag&drop. Or you need to click [x] in the corner to apply changes to specific instance of a chest, because if you click [OK] all chests in the game will change. Just look it up on Google.

First, I don't claim to be expert in Morrowind. I didn't finish about half of the factions. I just barely touched the surface of the modding, and I guess rkMerafel has much more of the actual in-game experience. I can just answer some PC-related tech questions.

BTW, rkMerafel, let's compare our experiences:

* House Hlaalu +
* House Redoran -
* House Telvanni -
* Blades +
* East Empire Company +
* Fighters Guild -
* Imperial Cult +
* Imperial Legion +
* Mages Guild +
* Thieves Guild +
* Morag Tong -
* Tribunal Temple +
* Twin Lamps -
* Aundae Clan -
* Berne Clan -
* Quarra Clan -

Both expansions - nearly 100%, including both sides in Bloodmoon. (yeah, I got to the last step of curing lycanthropy, but when the witch asked me to kill an innocent, I killed the witch instead. Now imagine the immense fun of protecting Queen Barenziah from assassins afterwards :) )

I'm glad the mages guild and the Imperial Legion get along with Hlaalu. :) My favorite groups! (Saw on faction tables)

People in Morrowind are so prejudice. They always call me outlander, and say bad things about me and outlanders. Escpecially the dumner. Not my fault I was transported here now was it?

Sorry I've not posted for so long, I've had some RL issues. Anyway.
GRATUITOUS CAPS asking for help about Falen's Hut
Drulene Falen's House is indeed west of Ald-Ruhn. Best way to describe it is with a map:
Image
(It's a link)
You can see a clear(ish) path from Ald-Ruhn to the Hut, but yes, it certainly is hard to find.
BTW, rkMerafel, let's compare our experiences:
As for my Morrowind experience, good idea there from Vook. I have completed:
House Hlaalu
House Redoran
Blades
East Empire Company
Fighters Guild
Mages Guild
Thieves Guild
Morag Tong
Twin Lamps
I've completed both expansions, and done Bloodmoon as both a human and werewolf.
maybe we should set up the PC version of this thread.
No, I don't think so. This thread isn't just for me exclusively to answer questions, it's just a generic help thread to try to keep the clutter of "omg halp plz" thread to a minimum. Perhaps another thread dealing with technical questions relating to the PC version where Vook in his infinite wisdom about such things could preside.

Small reminder, I know I sound like an arse, but please try to keep your posts in proper-ish English. This isn't a chat room, you have time enough to punctuate, use grammar and spelling, and paragraphs. Sorry, I know I'm [&@%!].

No, I've never done Telvanni, not being inclined towards magic, and I've never done the vampire quests either.

I know. I suck.

You can, but only once. There's a respective, quite long and difficult quest to cure given "problem" and once you cure it, you can't become either. That is, an ex-vampire can't become a werewolf or a vampire again, and vice versa. (of course no werevampires allowed either.)

AFAIK installing unpatched Bloodmoon on unpatched Morrowind allowed for contracting vampirism while being a werewolf, but resulted in quite ugly glitches (most visible of them being that as a werewolf you had no head)

I'm seriously considering buying Morrowind for PC to try these things out, as well as the CS and some Mods and Plugins.

Yea or nay, Mr. Vook?

$7 or so... why not? But AFAIK there was a version of the expansions for xbox. Not sure, patched or not though. But if you missed the whole richness of mods for PC, just get it and happily install 20-30 mods. Giants with extra monsters, texture packs, extra quests, etc.

Generally, the fact that you could become a vampire after becoming a werewolf was a bug, the game never was intended to allow that (becoming a were while a vampire was blocked straight of, in Bloodmoon, but Bloodmoon didn't apply a patch back to Morrowind which didn't know a thing about lycanthropy and happily allowed you to become a vampire, were or not. Of course there was no vampire head model for werewolf race so... oops. Plus... werewolf at night, sun damage during the day... means practically no outdoors and VERY limited indoors interaction with people (they attack a werewolf on sight!), unless you consciously go out in the sun :)

Try resting - I don't know why this would have happened.

Paper is essentially just for enchanting so you can create your own scrolls. There are huge amounts of useless items in Morrowind, paper happens to be a bit less useless. But no, it cannot be written on.

scrolls are quite powerfull. paper doesn't seem to have enough enchanting ability to make them as powerfull as scrolls. i think papar has only 3 enchanting.

it would be cool if oyu could make some real scrolls with them. like th ones in the game where there are words written on them and stuff luke that.

hmm it would be interesting to also be able to enchant other "useless" objects. imagine having the A bottle of high endurance - cast when used :)

I think those "Guide to Ald-Ruhn" type of scroll things can be enchanted with a higher power thingo. Not sure, however.

Speaking fo enchantments ... i found a named amulet. i have to look up what is it's name exactly. i wonder if it is use din some quest or if it is for enchanting only.

Once i killed two skeletons and both had very cool encanted arrows. how to get the arrows enchanted? is it possible?

Also what about ash statues? what are they for?

Sorry, AFAIK self-enchanted arrows don't work. Ash statues - there are several theories what Dagoth Ur uses them for, but for you, they are useless. Try equipping the amulet and see what happens before attempting anything else.
