Where did your username come from?

For some people, this is going to be really boring, but I'm sure some of us have interesting stories. Mine is somewhat interesting.

Moeboid is a game that some friends and I used to play in high school. For some reason we were fascinated by amoebas, so we searched around for games involving them. So Moeboid is one of the games that we found. In Moeboid, you play as an amoeba and your goal is simply to get points by eating other smaller amoebas while avoiding the bigger ones. Anyway, one day a friend made a fairly impressive high score and challenged me to beat it. After a couple of days of trying, I managed to fluke some insane score - triple the one that he challenged me to beat. Wanting to constantly remind him of the fact that I smashed his score, I adopted it as my internet name. At the time I thought that it wouldn't be taken anywhere, but turns out it is on some websites. The deviantart "Moeboid" is not me, for example.

Mars is my nickname IRL. I don't like my real name and started calling myself mars. Now everyone knows me as Mars

It has become my real name.

From Oblivion. I intended to use "Nenalata" originally but made a major balls of the registering process by accidentaly implying I was 12. So I settled for this rip-off and feminine-sounding username.

This actually came from the Runescape name generator. I tried entering "videogamer" something, but it didn't like that, so I tried removing one letter. Then it gave five choices of numbers to add on to the end, and this was one. I did not pick this one because of pi, however.

My other internet obsession is classic neohoming on neopets.com. I have two accounts there apocrypha_rose and apocryphamoon and I would switch back and forth between the two constantly while chatting on the neohome forums. Since everyone there was too lazy (and I dont blame them) to type out my whole user name some would call me moon when I was on my apocryphamoon account and some would call me rose when I was on my rose account. Well that quickly got too confusing so someone came up with the nickname moonrose and it has stuck ever since. I actually met one of the ladies from that forum IRL and she was like "I know your real name is Roxi but I cant help but call you moonrose, thats just your name to me"

Blackfire came up when I was still playing runescape. They finally allowed username changes, and after about 5 unfitting ones, I finally came up with BlackFire

Well, my username everywhere else is actually "NoSoundComes," after a poem by my favorite poet, but I figured that the UESP deserved a TES-themed one. "Avron" was the name of a character I devised up in my overactive imagination when trying to come up with a backstory for my Champion of Cyrodiil in Oblivion, although Avron actually ended up getting a story of his own because I like Morrowind more. In the story he's actually teased and called "Avron the S'wit" - and his friend is called "Valis the N'wah" - and I said to myself, "Self, that is catchy."

Besides, I love how you waltz around Vvardenfell and people call you "s'wit" and "n'wah" all the time. It's lovely, that warm Dunmer hospitality, isn't it?

I got the name Wolfie in real life for many reason and in deferent groups at deferent times,

First me, my girl freind and our best freind all took a "waht anmail are you" test on face book, evrey one complained because it never really fit any one, but it fit us three to the T, and i was a wolf, girl friend bunny, and best friend phoenix (don't ask me but it fits)

2nd I have NEVER met a dog that did not like me, I've had all kind of dogs who the owners are scared of, they call me when they need the dog for something, all dogs love me, one time a guy joked that I belong with the wolfs, and just Wolfie was born in that group

3rd I'm a night guy, have crazy hair, and shush so wolf was kind of a give me

4th I love wolf's

5th in 6th grade we got to go with tamed wolfs, and the taraniers where there to keep them "under control" and as soon as i walked in the wolfs went nuts and acted like pups

So 5 deferent times i got the nick name Wolfie
I figured its a sign and might want to keep it
