A Dunmer Nightblade, a Dunmer spellsword, a Breton pure mage, and a Dunmer pure mage.
I'm on a rollercoaster that only goes up

Re: Describe you're planned character(s)
I've changed my mind a little. I will be playing as a male Nord Warrior named Holfgar, a breton female mage, and a dark elf assassin/warrior.

I'm going to be an agonian, make a bee line for that dark elf town and show them who is boss
and then have a child of one "Hunt" for said guy and kill all the lazerds next play though
I belive that will make all dark elf and lizard lovers happy no?

Re: Describe you're planned character(s)
Nord.... but play him like a Bosmer. Maybe as a back story he was raised away from his home land. Get away from the stereo type of drunken, axe wielding Nord. I'm thinking real woodsman type character, minimal to no social interaction. Quiet, dark and skilled in his arts. Master marksman and duel short swords for those up close encounters.... or when I start to miss seeing the whites of my victim’s eyes. Using duel swords I might even go for one long and one short, being a Nord I feel will give me the strength and build/body size to justify that. I could only see a Bosmer using duel daggers, or one short and one dagger at best.
Not that interested in magic, will use maybe a light heal spell now and then, but I will be more focused on Alchemy. Making my own potions. Found that to be a major part of my Oblivion play throughs, and makes you get out and really explore.
Light armour, or basic clothing and lots of tact.

I love this series of books. I always thought that after them David Eddings books went downhill.
You ever read Raymond E. Fiest? His books are great too and in the same sort of style but a tiny bit more gritty.
Anywho I second silk. I would probably give him a shortsword in the right hand and a dagger in the left. He would have high personality, one handed blade, light armor, security, sneak, alchemy and mediocre unarmed.

Re: Describe you're planned character(s)
I plan on playing a male Nord, though possibly Dunmer, until I've exhausted the game. In the distant future, I may create a more pacifistic stealth & thievery type of character.
I try to play rationally, meaning I am extremely cautious and I employ the most reasonable tactics available to me. I try to sneak around if reasonable, engage at a distance if I can, and kill as quickly as possible if I must fight close-quarters. If they include a plentiful supply of throwable bladed weapons, I will definitely use those quite a bit instead of archery, just for the cool factor. I don't necessarily maintain a sleep schedule or do other hardcore role-playing stuff, but I try to make decisions as my character rationally would in the game.

Re: Describe you're planned character(s)
I have a few ideas for characters, though I usually only play one most of the time :/
As for that one character, I can't decide on one thing though: If I want to bring back my oblivion character via magical means, or make a similar character who is his descendant.
Original: Mekorosi/Teeth-In-The-Night: a male argonian with a stealth-based class.
New: Axe-Bitten: a male/female (yet to have decided on a gender) argonian who is also a stealth type, but less so than Mekorosi. He/she will make up for it by being more adept in combat and general survivability than his/her ancestor.

Re: Describe you're planned character(s)
I probaly going to make an argonian stealth char.
Drakar Dragontooth or somthing like that
As for backstory well he will probaly be an ex shadowscale who deserted his other fellow shadowscales so he could get away from the murderous life he detested so much or perhap after betraying them, He will most likely hate himself and feel a terrible guilt after some event. He is trying to find a purpose in life and begins the life of a merc etc.

Re: Describe you're planned character(s)
I would start out with a mage of whatever race. And nuke things.
Next, I would make a dual-wielding steal-everything-that-isn't-tied-down thief
Then would be a melee Nord dude.

Class: barbarian

Re: Describe you're planned character(s)
I will most likely begin plotting a storyline for an descendant of my Oblivion pirate-lord character, Terminius Hex. Depending on what sea-faring options are made available to swash-bucklin' types like myself, I'll either embark on the adventure of my pirate life like in TES IV, or else edit the plot of my character to better fit within the (if any) restraints the game puts on me. Here's a general run-down:
Bavarius Hex; pirate captain (middle-upper class); favours a cutlass (possibly enchanted) and a trusty dagger; fine but practical clothing; prone to indulgences such as amulets and rings; hopelessly addicted to alcoholic substances; famed for his daring raids on high-value and tough to crack targets such as castles, guilds and various shops/houses/estates; collector of literature, maps, documents, jewellery, wines and - not surprisingly - keys to important locks.
A born-natural at piracy (it's in his blood, after all), with a clever mind, sharp wit and skills with a sword not seen since the days of the Oblivion Crisis, Bavarius has amassed riches upon riches, fought valiantly time and time again against the might of the Imperial Navy and has always managed to keep his crew, his ship and his own life safe, out in the vast expanse of ocean...

Character 1:
Race: Breton (I'm always a fast, spellcaster mage, so I can kill trolls easily)
Sex: Male (I'm not a cross-payer)
Class: Combat/Magic style
Name: Something like his Breton mage ancestor, Lenny (perhaps Jimbob)
Character 2:
Race: Kajiit
Name: M'aiq the Liar
Nuff said.
Character 3:
Race: Nord
Weapons: fists, thats it
Name: Chuck Norris, the Immortal Hero of Kvatch, the Madgod
Nuff said here too.

Basic Story-
Born(and raised) to a rich aristocratic family in Evermor,High Rock. Since Evermor is one of the peaceful cities in High Rock never really saw how bad the times where. Was never really good at fighting and magic kind of a wimp, whiny, and lazy. The exact opposite of a hero. Go on a vacation to the Imperial City to visit grandfather at Arcane University and on way back they take the Skyrim route to High Rock and get arrested along side his best friend, who is Nord. They where arrested for not being citizens and being "enemies" of Skyrim aka the rebels. Nord friend let go since his father is a rebel to the empire. Alain will be executed.
GAME STARTS
(I ll prorbily play the nord friend on my second run)

Re: Describe you're planned character(s)
I'm basically planning three characters.
1. My usual Dunmer warrior. But now with the addition of dual-wielding to add to his high offence repertoire of blade, marksman and destruction.
2. A Nord warrior with a side of magic. How could I go to Skyrim and not play as a native, plus I have liked Nords from the sort as my third favourite race. I'm thinking classic sword and shield with a bit of destruction and restoration thrown in for him.
3. An Altmer spellsword type with emphasis on magic and with proficiency in wielding the blade. More warrior orientated than most Altmer, but still somebody who utilises the Altmer's key strength. (I'm hoping that I can get that fire spell featured briefly in the trailer that immolated everything in the room. It was actually pretty cool.

Re: Describe you're planned character(s)
Khajiit Thief: S'gasta (Not sure how theft will work in Skyrim, but in Morrowind and Oblivion I usually leave all homes I enter completely empty... Sucks for them)
Dunmer Skirmisher : Relen Indravas (Marksman, Spears and light armour, probably backed up with conjuration)
Nord Pyromancer: Alga Firehair (I'll throw her in some heavy armour, give her destruction and let her loose)
Imperial Assassin: Klaudias the Deceitful (I always love making other people kill my target using frenzy spells... hopefully that's still possible.)
Argonian Druid: Kisses-the-Sky (Usually I'd give him a staff, but seeing as he's always an alchemist, I'm gonna give him a spear, so he can coat it with poison and poke stuff... winning.)
I'd list every other character I'm likely to make, but it would take forever, these are just some of my favourite concepts.

Re: Describe you're planned character(s)
Breton Assassin (vampire if possible): Vladmir Vowulf (inspired by Vicente Valtieri, fav NPC) Most likely sticking with DB related armor (if any) Marksman, Sneak, Security, Illusion.
Khajiit Thief: Z'Brasha
Imperial Assassin: Lezio LaChance (figured if it's 200 years after Oblivion I'd continue Lucien's bloodline
I'm a huge Dark Brotherhood/Morag Tong fanatic >.>)
I practically used bows throughout Oblivion so I'll stick with that even if the drawback is slower, my enemy usually never sees me anyways. Along with a dagger for my thief and dagger or shortsword for the assassins. Illusion spells all around.
