I love playing annoying characters. I like acting. It's a shame I didn't pursue it.ZombieMonkeyNZ wrote:Oh not always. I mean, this character is sooo F-ing annoying!Urrr, I just hate him....
As for what I'm reading:
The Legend of Sigurd and Gudrun by J.R.R. Tolkien. I've wanted to read this for so long

I've just finished Dracula, and i'm going to start on something called 'Shadow Project' with seems to be about neo-nazis, it all looks very Wolfenstein, so i'm sure it'll be badass.

Ivanhoe by Sir Walter Scott
In between the lines there's a lot of obscurity.
I'm not inclined to resign to maturity.
If it's alright, then you're all wrong.
But why bounce around to the same damn song?

How was Lolita? It's one of those books I keep hearing of, so I've been wondering.Norroen Dyrd wrote:Finished Lolita by Vladimir Nabokov![]()
Started The Kolyma Tales by Varlam Shalamov. I suppose Leroybrown will find it of interest, as it deals with the life of Gulag inmates.
I was reading A Game of Thrones, but I bought Keith Richards' biography the other day because I didn't have anything to read at lunch and I've been reading that instead. It was either Keith or Steven Tyler, I figured Keith would be more interesting.

Re: The 'What are you reading at the moment' thread
It was... controversial. If one is intelligent enough to see beyond what may be very well considered to be dirty paedophilia, one may find the book to be very deep. I myself had complicated emotions about it. The first pages made me frankly disgusted, but afterwards I was strongly moved, by the murder climax especially. Not to mention all the immense amount of cultural references that may be found between the linesironmaiden83 wrote:How was Lolita? I just finished Dombey and Son by Charles Dickens, and now I will delve into Russian postmodernism

I must say, the books in Daggerfall are very nice. Annoying to read because of the letters and the low resolution but they're wonderful!
I just read A tale of Kieran.

Woho! I've finished "Monsieur Ibrahim et les Fleures du Coran" and "The Curious Incident of The Dog in The Night-Time"! Now I only have Frankenstein left to finish before I can start reading my own books again

Finished Archangel by Robert Harris a week ago, and started Pompeii a couple of days ago. Good so far.
It doesn't really build the same kind of suspension as his other books though, the reader knows what will happen at the end.

Re: The 'What are you reading at the moment' thread
I'm reading the LOTR trilogy atm. My girlfriend bought my a Tolkien Bookset with the trilogy, The Hobbit and the Silmarillion. So I have plenty of reading material for now!
I've read the hobbit, and it was a great book, and I'm a few chapters into The Fellowship now. But upcoming exams are hindering my reading speed.
