Minor things

Post by Bear »

I have started my new character. Even though I have a new character I still have one similar annoyance in both characters. There is a horse stationed just inside the door of the Imperial Waterfront. None of my characters have ever owned a horse yet this painted horse is always at the door, just beyond the lighthouse. Glitch? The other thing I noticed is, since starting my new character I have had a hard time accessing containers in the Imperial City, it seems hard to position myself to get the open container icon to allow access to said container. The strange part is that in only happened to me in IC. Anyone else with either of these 2 scenarios?

at least on my game, the horse is there too, so i believe it is a glitch... as for your container problemo, (does IC stand for Imperial City?) if it does, I also have that same problem, i got used to it tho and figured out how to deal with it... hope that helps

I don't think the thing with the horse is a glitch. I get a red icon when I look at it, which means it's not mine. And one of the guys at the local stables says that the horses sometimes escape.

I get that horse and also one on the bridge to the Bravil gate.
Removed due to size.

It belongs to a member of the mage's guild. I jumped on it once just too see what would happen and it said I had been expelled from the mage's guild

I've seen the painted horse at the IC gate, Bravil gate, & Skingrad gate. I've seen it there on all of my games. I thought it was Prior Mables at first, then I thought it was Bloosom, but didn't say bloosom when I checked. It has always had the red hand icon. I don't think it is a glitch, just someone using it to travel. They are following you, you have an ingame stalker... (I always notice them when I am leaving the towns, not when I'm entering)

I've never had the IC container thing.

I thought it was different horses. Never checked the ID though. They/it appears for me too in the Waterfront, Bravil and Skingrad. The container thing was a bit odd. Never happened to me.

I always assumed those horses were the local Tamriel taxi service, and there for our convenience. At least if your char is willing to sneak-thief a horse every now and then.

There is one, or a stable, available at every city isn't there? IC has both but then those two exits are well spaced.

When you take them, as soon as you get off, they start to wander back, but def can take their own sweet time, and can get killed on the way (at least I presume, I've had at least one permanently disappear).

I have a couple of minor questions to if you dont mind answering them:

1. Are all quests balanced for my current level (some I just can't do yet)
2. Healing using the healing spell is rubbish, so is healing potions. How can I get better healer? (I am a melee fighter).

I figured the horses belonged to the local town guard, as I usually saw them outside Bravil and Bruma. The Imperial City one I never thought of en explanation for, but a travelling Mages Guild associate makes sense.

The one outside Bruma in my game got killed by mountain lions. Along with my (Maborel's) horse, three bandits, two guards, and a timber wolf. Mountain lions are insane.
