Bands You've Seen Live
My favorite that I've seen is Arcade Fire, but I've also seen The National, Coldplay, and Snow Patrol, along with several others.

Re: Bands You've Seen Live
I'm not much of a concert-goer. The only bands I've seen on multiple occasions are:
Collective Soul (2)
Our Lady Peace (2)
The Offspring (3)
Live (4)
The band that made the biggest impression on me with their live show was Sevendust, who was opening for Fuel. A close second for Our Lady Peace, who played a free outdoor show at my school.

Re: Bands You've Seen Live
In order of when I've seen them:
Doves (first ever concert, nowhere near the best but obviously it amazed me. Can't remember the venue)
Ash (in the back of an Irish pub. Still one of the smallest venues I've been to, and one of the loudest)
Caitlin Rose (at some tiny pub in Civentry. The actual smallest one I've een to)
The Gaslight Anthem (at Wolv. Civic Hall. They weren't particularly good)
Doves (again, but at the Civic Hall. They were much better in this one, and much livelier, even though Man. City had just lost, so you'd think they would have been miserable)
Arcade Fire (LG arena. One of my favourites so far. Een though the venue was huge, there was a great atmosphere going on)
The Hold Steady (at the 02 academy. A pretty small venue, but they reallyimpressed me with their stage presence)
Mogwai (at the HMV institute. Probably the most disappointing one I've had so far)
The Decemberists (the the institute again. They were really impressive live, almost thestrical at times)
Elbow (at the frigging NIA. This is the best one I've had so far, mostly for the fact that Guy Garvey gave me a freaking hug, but also because tey were very impressive all round)
And that's it for now. I haven't been to any since Elbow in March, mostly because of no bands touring nearby, but also because I'm having trouble convincing anyone to go to concerts with me.

Re: Bands You've Seen Live
I've seen lots of underground bands around here. I've never been to a concert of a famous band though. Hopefully I'll be in Athens when 30 Seconds To Mars go there in the summer

Re: Bands You've Seen Live
You know, I genuinely don't enjoy live music. I've been a few times, but it never did anything for me. It's expensive and I always end up smelling like some strange mix of sweat, alcohol and cigarettes, none of which are scents that I appreciate. But it's worth it for the music, right? Don't get me wrong, I've seen a few bands put on a good show, but it's never been significantly better than anything that I could experience at home. Besides, it's free that way, and I don't stink afterwards.

Re: Bands You've Seen Live
I've seen quite a bit. My favorite memory though is buddy guy. I shook his hand after the concert, which makes me a better blues player. It's a technical, highly advanced scientific field that explains the physics of how this works. In short, it's referred to as 'rock transfer' when you shake hands with someone of such caliber.

Re: Bands You've Seen Live
Still haven't seen them. KK Downing left the band and they're probably even ain't touring NA for their very final tour...the Savage Hippie wrote: Judas Priest x1
Woah, surprised I see that name pop up here... When did you saw them? As far as I know they never played many shows... I saw them in Montreal last December (or I think it was in December) and it was an absolutely terrific show. They played until the bar closed at 3 am and I had to return home almost 3 hours from there, it was pretty insane. Unfortunately they couldn't finish their show, and they ended with the whole Volume 1 album, at least I heard the best tracks. Judgement of the Dead and Sentinels of Hate were incredible, I could've died during JotD. Anyway, that was an intense 2 hour of DOOM!Pagan Altar (still like them) x1
Which one ?!?! The Japanese? They're one of my dream bands to see...Sabbat x1
Saw them too, awesome of course.Motörhead x2 (still like them)
Anyway, I saw too many bands to even list... but the best shows I saw were:
Asphyx
Aura Noir
Bolt Thrower (both times two days in a row at the same fest!)
Destruction
Kreator
Motorhead
Morbid Angel
Municipal Waste (both times)
Nunslaughter
Pagan Altar
Razor (don't remember much of it though!)
Sigh
Sodom
At least that's the favourites I remember.

You see the Beach Boys a few years ago here in FL? My friends were there and they may or may not allegedly have been hallucinating.HatofMadness wrote:The Beach Boys, and The Mamas and The Papas
....of course my friends don't do drugs, drugs are for losers. They were poisoned. Though they did say it was a fantastic concert.
