All skills at 100´s, lvl 2???

Post by maubist3ni »

Hey there guys...

Ok, here is my question, i just started a new char, wich is gonna be a mage, one of the best i hope... anyways, i am currently in lvl 1, but i want to train all my 7 skills up to 100 before advancing to lvl 2... is that actually possible?? and what would be the results??...

is that a good thing?

expecting a good answer... :)

You must go to sleep in a bed before you can level up, so I assume all you need to do is not go to a bed.

It is possible, only thing is I think you won't manage to do it. All your skills at 100 is alot of work and it would get boring with all those weak enemies. but it is possible if you just don't sleep.

You won't get to level two when you first sleep after maxing your stats you'll jump to level 40 or so.

You will, when you leveled up and sleep again you will again level to 3, when you sleep again you will level to 4 etc... You won't jump to 40 or higher because then you can't choose the attributes you want to raise...

Playing a mage this way can be a problem. Master level destruction spells cost a lot of magicka, which you won't have at level 1 or 2. If you don't use these spells, there's no advantage in bringing up that skill to 100.

you can if you just don't choose those 7 skills as major skills. choose them minor.
Guard: Taste my sword!!!
Bandit: Hmm. Tastes like chocolat, is that right?
Guard: Unbelievable! How did you do that?:|

I higly recommend you not do this...

The main problem with this, is that your skill points do not carry over to the next level, so all of your Attribute Bonus's will be lost.

As a mage, you would want to get as close to 5 Attribute bonus's each level, in Int & Wis. Doesn't do you much good to be able to cast all the spells, when you only have 100 magicka, and a slow regeneration rate.

Really?? I'm on vanilla Ob (+ Knights party pack since it came out) and mine carry over. Admittedly I don't think I've ever quite got as far as two levels before I've slept, but frequently am about 1/2 way up the next level before I sleep.

And as a max-bonus devotee I always keep a track of what I've increased etc.

Maybe my Ob is just special!! :D

Might be because you didn't reach the next level.

When I first started playing, I wasn't roleplaying, and when I did sleep, I went up three levels. I didn't have any bonuses after the first one. Since then, I keep track. Plus I make sure I sleep/eat, to Roleplay more.

Maybe my game just hates me.

Actually, I've been pretty lucky. The few problems I've had, I've been able to fix witht the console. I've missed the big/bad bugs/glitches that I've seen others have.

Even when my computer crashed, and I had to reformat, and I lost everything. I was right at the end of the current character I had, and was ready to start a new one anyhow.

Im a permanent vampire....

Sorry i couldn't help it! Im with Belthazor, it would be hard to train mage with a lvl 1's magicka, and too hard to train on low lvled monsters.
Also some quests you might want to do need a lvl requirement. Only the daedra shrine quests far as i know.

I think that if you wanted the game to be ridiculously boring and more than a little harder, then your crazy idea is possible, but not advisable.

So long as you don't do anything that requires you to sleep, you should be fine. It'll take a LONG time though.

I'm pretty sure the skill points do carry over. I remember at one point I went for about six levels without sleeping (in game, not in real life!)... it was while I was exploring the area around Bruma and doing the Lifting the Vale quest. When I finally made it back to town, I'd gained around a half dozen levels; each time I slept I gained one level, and the game "remembered" how many skill points I'd gained for each level (+3 strength here, +4 agility there, +2 wisdom a level later, ect etc)
