Horses?

Post by HunterofHircine »

Whats the point of even having a horse?

I run three times as fast as that paint horse from the beginning and just as fast as the unicorn

Role Playing

Not being fatigued

Horses are incredible when it comes to climbing steep slopes. They can run up slopes you'd never climb on foot.

I don't like them. Except with a good BBQ Sauce.

Good point but fatigue is just a green bar

No point that I can see of.
I hate the fact that when you get attacked, you have to get off the horse, withraw your weapon all while your getting attacked or your horse is.

I think they just have to be in such a game, what about the game without horses? That sucks. I like horses because I don't like to run so fast, that looks stupid. Horses belong in a such a game.

I run faster than anything when i'm not tweaked on Skooma! :P As for Horses, the only useful one I can think of is Shadowmere, A.K.A my mobile storage thing. I've also noticed something weird, whenever I put a bunch of healing Potions in Shadowmere, she seems to use them after she gets up when knocked out. Has anyone else had this happen to them? :?

Well... because some people play characters with very little speed... and so need a horse. Also the slope climbing thing...

Yeah, its pretty weird, I knocked her out then she got back up and I heard a rapid swallowing noise, I look over and she had the white aura thing that the potion makes! Knocked her out again and searched her to find potions missing!

I like the horses! aaaaandd.. I am level two and very slow, so the paint horse does me well.
(Plus I've mastered my virtual strides to fences, to jump over.)

They also make you appear superior to the characters on foot.

Yes you can heal your horse.

Heal spell on target or touch.

The first posts of most members are necro-posts. I officially hate necromancers twice as much now! :P

Horses pwn by the way. Even with mastered athletics/acrobatics, I still prefer Shadowmere.

Actually, when they bring back a post, and for a reason, that is okay. They actually did a search for "Horses", and asked a question, rather than start a new topic.

It is when they bring back a post, for no reason, except to increase there post count is when it gets annoying.

This poster doesn't.

However, remeber a few weekends ago, when three different people just brought up old topics, with nothing to add. They porbably would have continued if they were not told to stop. In fact, they haven't been around since.

I hope thats not the reason they left. Avoiding necro posting have been a (written or unwritten) rule in most forums I have been to. In fact, most forums isn't as tolerantly as this.

for realism
you wont be running faster than a horse in real life, and they want their game realistic, so put horses for those who don't want their char to run from one side of Cyrodiil to the next.
like me, ill play like i would in real life (take it easy, ride my horse, but run a lot for exercise)

Really its for players, like myself, who want to feel immersed in the fantasy realm created before me. If I make myself 3 times faster, it takes away from the experiance and realism I think. So its there for those who want to experiance it.

and also, horses were used then, and you would not be complete just running alot for those who must focus on other things other than athletics

Precisly. What you have to understand is that horses, like Shadowmere, just add a sense of pride into your character, making you look important or superior. Besides, your horse can be a valuable asset at times. Well, at least some horses can be.
