It would be my favourite Serbian club if I had one. Got to say Stojkovic was nothing but trouble at Sporting, though.

Re: Tell Us About Yourself and Your Interests!
Well, it's been ages since I posted in this thread, and when faced with the prospects of either studying or wasting time on a forum, I'd obviously choose the latter.
I am a female individual from the United States of America. I live in Indiana, which is probably one of the most boring states, besides South Dakota and maybe Montana. I am nearly 21. I'm excruciatingly close to graduating with a Bachelor's of Fine Arts. Excruciatingly. Then I can proceed to be a starving artist, something I've aspired to be for awhile. All the best ideas generally come to one when one is wanting for something, be it sleep, food, drink, or even company of another human being (psh).
There's a few things I really enjoy. Among these are writing, music, video games, cats, reading Shakespeare, sleeping, and watching other people play video games. I'm extremely picky about what types of things I like. I can't say I like all RPGs or all songs by a certain band or artist, nor all books by a certain author. More than likely, I'll only like one thing from one particular sub-category, and the rest of the stuff can eff off. I also like debating. I try to be flexible and never force my opinions or beliefs on anyone, but if they try to change mine, I will hold firm like a brick wall unless they have a valid point. I'm very opinionated about politics and religion, but said topics almost always can cause arguments between two parties, so more than often I keep my opinions to myself, and merely smile and nod with a cheery twinkle of the eye.
Another thing I like is philosophy. I often find myself thinking about life and the meaning of everything. How it's so funny that we go to such lengths to work our way up - go through stress to try to make an A on some course that may help us get into college, and graduating from college may help us get a job, getting a job may be lucrative and help support a family...and so forth. But it seems by the time you finally are achieving your goals in life, you're too old to really enjoy the benefits. That's why I often go through bouts of depression and mood swings. Kind of like continual PMS, though my moodiness is doubled and obviously worse during that "time of month."
I'm a very introverted person. I don't go to parties often, and I just go out with my small social circle for infrequent events. Most of the times I like to write and develop my opinions and thoughts independently, like I've done for so long. Despite not being fond of being around people, I've realized more and more that I'm a relatively compassionate person. I empathize with people a lot, and I think hating people is just silly. Of course, some people in the world are rotten eggs, but they deserve more pity than hate, since I doubt they were born that way.
Back on subject, sports are another of my passions. Tennis especially, I've been playing for ages now, I even have a part time job teaching at my local tennis club. Basketball is fun too, though I'm terrible at it. I enjoy ice skating and skiing at times, never hurts to have your balance exercised. You never know when there may be a zombie apocalypse, and walking on top of narrow beams of houses and such may be required.
My tastes have been more dynamic over the past few years than I ever thought possible. I went from being a girly girl who liked dresses and got all excited about romance and stuff to a laid back tomboy. I feel that, besides from the obvious chest-bulges and more gentle facial features, I could pass as a boy or at very least an androgynous individual if I wished. That's not to say I wish to. I'm perfectly comfortable with my gender, though at times I wonder what it'd be like to be male, and how life would be from that viewpoint.
Music is one of the few things I am truly passionate about, besides writing. I love classical music, electronica, some pop and rock, jazz, big band, soundtracks, the list goes on. I play the piano and compose some, though most of the time I hop in front of the keyboard and thoughtfully tinker out my own version of Still Alive or Mozart's Piano Sonata 16, or Brahms' Symphony 4 in E Minor. My tastes are wildly eclectic, and equally quick to change. Most often I'll find a song I can't get enough of, listen to it for a week, then get sick of it and move on.
I'm extremely terrible at expressing myself through words, either electronically or verbally. Despite this, I'm a writer, and utterly devoted to my craft. I find myself narrating my life often ("As she stretched and snuggled down under her blankets, staring blankly at the alarm clock..."), which often makes for interesting stories. I'm not one of those people who enjoys writing, editing, editing, editing, and editing more until the piece of writing becomes more perspiration than inspiration. Of course, if it's something I will send for publication, I'll fiddle with it until it seems good enough. But most of the times, I peck something out on my keyboard and forget about it for awhile.
I always love good memories, so much it can be detrimental to my motivation at times. Often I'll be lost in thought, remembering fondly the "good old days," though even in the "good old days" I spent time thinking about the "older, better days." I spend too much of the present worrying about the past, instead of the future, and that's where I ought to crack down on myself. Sure, the past times were good, maybe better than the present, but time machines haven't been invented, and you can't go back. Thus, it makes more sense to strive toward a better future than waste time wandering in the past. Still, I can't help but wish to relive some of my past rather than face what lies ahead.
I also love text walls. I'll stop now.

Agreed. I posted a while back that I believe it's harder to live life as a female.Venger wrote:A helluva lot simpler.Vivek wrote:...though at times I wonder what it'd be like to be male, and how life would be from that viewpoint.

Figured might as well, It's been almost 2 years after all.
My real name is stuff and things, but I'd still prefer Generalno1, I live in Chennai India which a southern part, next to the ocean. I'm a pretty private person when it comes to the net, so it's probably why i haven't posted here before, and also why you probably still won't know everything about me(i have to maintain some of the air of mystery after all). I'm 16, and am a big gamer, also having an interest in reading. With particular interest in Sci-Fi and Fantasy. Favorite Author being Asimov.
I have a sister, and a family who all get along.
I'm also a foodie, and love trying different cuisines.

Re: Tell Us About Yourself and Your Interests!
My dream job is to be a game designer.
But, I will probably end up working in the same company as my dad does. Not complaining though, my Dad gets good pay.
I'm a very keen gamer, I play a wide vertiety of games. When I play Oblivion, I always role-play, for some reason, I find it hard not to.
I hope to take up airsofting in the summer, as it has always interested me.
I love almost all motorsports and I'm really into cars. In 2010, I went to about 13 different events involving the two.
I hope to own a Caterham when I'm older (24/5).
I'm not always as social as I could be. I still try to go out often, but I probably do less than others my age. I'm always open to meeting new friends, I don't find it hard to talk to new people one-on-one. But I do prefer having a close circle of friends over a big group of people I hardly know.
I would like to think of my self, not as intelligent, but quite knowledgable. I know a lot across a range of subjects. I have a quite large vocab, but it's defenatley not the best.
I'm working at an A level and English, B in; history, ICT, Business studies, C in; Science and art And D in math. That was all I was told about.
I used to play badminton for the school but I don't do that anymore.
I like all sorts of music. My favourate group is Daft punk.
Oh, and I really like writing. Especially fantasy. I like to read and Tolkien is my favourate author.

Re: Tell Us About Yourself and Your Interests!
I say this for a variety of reasons. For sure, I don't have your perspective, I'll give you that.Azura wrote: Only cause you have never been a female.
Generally speaking, I imagine life is statistically easier as a male. I believe it's much, much easier for males to have normal social lives. Males generally don't have to be as concerned with their looks (I will be so bold to say, I don't think I look too bad). We will never go through menstrual cycles or give birth. We are more likely to be the leader in any given situation.
I guess it's not 'easy' to be male. It's probably most challenging during the teenage years. I don't have any issues right now really. Nobody gives me trouble, I am comfortable with myself and I have confidence. Girls my age that I have platonic (shh) friendships with are often coming to me with issues.
I'm not saying it's a fact, it's not. It is my opinion though.

Re: Tell Us About Yourself and Your Interests!
well, where to begin
my name is Brady and i am 15 years old. I live Quebec,Canada in a very small town next to the border of the United States. It always snows here during the winter and this year we somehow managed to accumulate about 7 feet of snow
The thing i am probably most proud of is the fact that i am over 6 feet tall and am only 15
My main interests are music (i play the guitar) riding my dirt bike, playing video games and i can play (rather well) any sport with a ball.
I have divorced parents and i alternate spending time with my mom and dad.
I got hooked on Oblivion when one of my friends showed me it and i thought it was one of the greatest games ever
I was born English but am now bilingual
and thats pretty much all there is to know about me

Re: Tell Us About Yourself and Your Interests!
My name is Logan.
I don't want to get too much taller.
Some of my greatest fears are; being paralysed from the neck down, going blind, and drowning.
I once got drunk at a party and fell into a pool, consequence being that I wasn't allowed to go to my Dad's house for 3 months.
I know how to drive a car.
One of my best friends is about 5ft 3/4. It's a great contrast in size.
It took me literally ages to get used to photoshop.
First time I played Oblivion, I didn't really like it.
I have a tendancy to look down on gamers that only play COD/FIFA.
'Tis all for now.

I DON'T play football.
That is all.
If you must know more, people constantly ask me if I play and I always say no. Someone just asked me today again. People I barely know or don't know ask me, too. The family greeting to me is "Are you playing football yet?".

Re: Tell Us About Yourself and Your Interests!
My name is Theo, I'm 17 and I live in England.
Interests include:
Music of any genre. Really. My 3 favourite genres are dubstep, post-hardcore and folk. So yea, pretty broad minded when it comes to music.
Gaming, my favourite games are Oblivion, Fallout 3 (better than NV ;P), Far Cry 2, COD4, GTA:SA, Saints Row (number 1), Muppets Racemania (old skool) and many more. I don't like Halo. I don't like BioShock, I don't like Mass Effect. Which is probably quite shocking. I only play wrestling and football games that are at least 4 years old. I play on the 360. I've dabbled in game design very slightly. I also play RuneScape and I'm in a clan (TR, for those who also play), I'm not athletic at all but I like trampolining, sometimes go to the gym, and I'm pretty good at badminton (gay right?) and I'll play football with friends. I like TV. I play guitar and bass and I'm "alright" at both. I work at McDonalds.... ummm.... I enjoy drinking? I like classic VWs. And Fords. And BMWs. I want to go to Uni to do computer game technology.
ect ect.

Re: Tell Us About Yourself and Your Interests!
Hi, everybody. I'm Toby, I live in England like Theo (whereabouts btw?). I'm 19, in college at the moment after messing up sixth form a tad, and in september I'm moving to Cardiff to train as a nurse.
I like almost all kinds of music except for emo "punk" rubbish (The Clash and the Jam are the real punk, damn it!). I love Rugby, since I used to play it myself, and I enjoy American football. I'm a Packers fan for those interested, and YES, I did support them before the superbowl.
I like drinking. Probably too much - I end up in A&E a lot as a result, in fact that's partly what made me want to become a nurse lol. I have a penchant for White Russians, even though my brain tells me that the whole concept of the drink itself is pretty disgusting, and I like Star Trek. That's about it.

Re: Tell Us About Yourself and Your Interests!
I could go on a rant about why "emo punk" isn't rubbish...but I won't

I've tried to like it. I honestly have! I mean there are exceptions to the rule but whenever a friend of mine puts on something like escape the fate I just feel like having an Animal House guitar-smashing episode.

Escape the Fate are Post-Hardcore. Not emo. But yeah since Ronnie left they're not worth anything. And music nowadays is getting worse and worse. But if you listen a lot to it and look for good bands you'll like it. I used to hate Hip-Hop but after looking around a bit I found some artists that I liked.

Oh, well I'm terrible with music genres. You'll have to forgive my ignorance.
Hip hop's great, but it's quite picky. I mean unless you find a few artists that you really click with it can be kind of diffcult to get into, IMO.

Yup. But we shouldn't discuss this in this thread. Offtopicness is a federal offense around here

My name is Harrison, but Harry works well.
I live in Oregon, where public nudity is protected by the constitution. There's even nude bike races.
I have Celiac disease.
I'm not fond of people who aren't my friends, I tend to have harsh attitude towards them (except for you, my forum friends).
I do Parkour.
I am a Marxist.
Mars is really an angry dwarf who wishes to be a diglet, but is ashamed so he claims to be a dratini. Also his right foot shoots lasers.

Well wrap me around your neck and call me a pedant.
