Somethign I've wonderd
do they count DLC as part of the story?
like in morrwiond dose history say that you went to the frozen island?
if so would that not mean the hero of Kavatch would be around and you would interact with him?
(since he took over the SL)
just something to think about...

Re: Somethign I've wonderd
Its set 200 years after the events of Oblivion. So unless being the madgod makes him/her immortal then your Oblivion character will be dead. But even if not that would still be far too hard to work, seeing as everyones Oblivion character was different. And many people won't have played Oblivion. So no I doubt it.

Remember Morrowind was only 4 years before Oblivion. Syrim is 200 after Oblivion.

Ring-a-ding, baby.

I'm thinking they are going to kill he\she off
have him die in a fight to protect the empire or something
cause an elf could eazily be alive

Sheogorath has been canonized (is that a word?
) as an imperial male. So he's not immortal unless he was made immortal.

That kinda annoys me, as I role-play my character with a split personality, one of them being his Madgod side.mars wrote:Sheogorath has been canonized (is that a word?) as an imperial male. So he's not immortal unless he was made immortal.

think of it this way, how would the intrduce him in to the next game if they did not pick a race?Spiney wrote:That kinda annoys me, as I role-play my character with a split personality, one of them being his Madgod side.mars wrote:Sheogorath has been canonized (is that a word?) as an imperial male. on that thogut i think it would be cool if each race said "he was one of us"

They could've not given him a race, as in, keep him androgynous.Wolfie wrote:think of it this way, how would the intrduce him in to the next game if they did not pick a race?

Re: Somethign I've wonderd
They'll probably work in some sort of lore-compliant way to deal with this
The Nerevarine from Morrowind was said to have departed from Tamriel for Akavir (I think) in rumours.
So I guess there'll be a rumour, or a book, or a scroll, or something that mentions and explains what happened to the Champion of Cyrodiil.

Re: Somethign I've wonderd
I'd prefer to see Sheogorath return as before; becoming the prince of order again seems to me like a temporary thing at best as there doesn't seem to be anything to stop the other daedric princes just turning him into Sheogorath again surely?
An interesting alternative would be if the replacement Sheogorath was written in as having died probably due to unnatural causes, leaving the Shivering Isles with no successor and as a result it has become even more anarchic than before, with two distinctly separate rulers, one for Mania and one for Dementia, but with no-one to govern them they would be at odds a great deal of the time. The effect of this change could have a real impact on the Shivering Isles themselves, causing them to appear quite different to how they appeared in the Oblivion DLC.
In any event I certainly hope they do add Oblivion planes as DLC, as assuming a sixth game will be developed eventually then we can probably expect a similarly long gap between games, which some oblivion plane add-ons could really benefit.
