I think this kid has the syndrom of down (dont know if thats universal) because of the way he moves and the glasses (Eye and hart problems mostly come standard with down)

Less about the actual invasion and more about squabbling over who gets how much of Poland. The Germans and the Soviets pretty much 'called dibs on Poland' in the very late 1930s.
