What things do you regret doing?
I've done some very stupid things in Oblivion, most of which I've regretted doing. Like calling my class 'A Poo' (ha ha ha). Is there anything you've done that you regretted?

Re: What things do you regret doing?
thinking the dark guardian was for target practice and consequently got kicked out of the dark brotherhood after killing it.
trying to kill a unicorn on my first character, not knowing what it was for. it followed me for a good 10-15 minutes and i used all my potions and healing spells, had no magicka, barely any health left, couldn't fast travel or rest, but eventually made it to a city with a bridge to the front gates, maybe bravil? the unicorn got stuck in the middle or something and i was able to heal up inside. I never found the unicorn again when I realized i needed it for a daedric quest.

Modding. I had no clue what I was doing when I first started, and I guess something I had put on there didn't like SI, so SI stopped working. Even after I disabled all of my mods and took them of, SI has never worked since. Which is sad, cuz that's my favorite part of Oblivion. -cries-

Playing!
Oblivion has lost me probably well over 1000 hours of my life I could have spent doing other things! Only joking. It's been a wild roller coaster ride that I've thoroughly enjoyed!
@AreaDunmerMoon: Try using Wrye Bash to clean/repair your savegame. Back it up first (in case something goes wrong), then run Wrye Bash, go to the Saves tab, right-click the savegame and choose Remove Bloat. This helps a LOT in removing "orphan" references left over from mods which have been disabled/uninstalled, and will likely make SI accessible again.
I've done Remove Bloat a few times now, and my game has never come to any harm (fingers crossed).
You should also do a Repair Abomb as well (on the same menu as Remove Bloat) while you're at it. This resets the savegame's internal frame counter which eventually leads to the Abomb Bug (which strikes after as little as 100 hours or less on fast PC's, resulting in stuck/slow animations and doors making the game suddenly unplayable). I do mine about once a week, or when it reaches above about 50%, whichever comes sooner. It does no harm, and I've been playing for over 500 hours with NO sign of the Abomb Bug striking!
Hope this helps you out.

Storing all of my valuables, including a few unique items, in a random chest. It was too late by the time I found out that they reset.

Shooting that orc gangster in the face.
Had to run away, kill a guard, and nearly risk imprisonment by Lex. Not to mention 750 gold to S'cheeva.

Accidentally killed Schemer. I panicked and blasted the poor fella. Next thing I knew I was kicked out of the Brotherhood.

You all know that you can farm the DG and Rat after completing the quest line right
The tenants no longer apply so its free Weapon and shield and good target practice.
@Dtmwerks, I did the same thing with my Level 1 character, killed the unicorn, and three minotaurs with the help of a random horse I stole, except I am just now (literally) finding out I shouldn't have done that...
@Valus, I caused my save to F'up like that too by just duplicating a ton of Amber in 'The missing Pauldron', it was my main too
(the save shows the set of Amber armor on display, so close, but so far...)

Re: What things do you regret doing?
Not buying that cursed "Summon Dremora Lord" spell from Bruma before the guild got destroyed. My battlemage wasn't happy. Though MUCH later in the game I used console command to get that particular spell.
Shooting innocent orc adventurers in the face. I always mistake them for bandits and marauders, then feel bad after realizing that I just killed a friendly NPC who could have helped me clear out the dungeon/cave/whatever.

Losing goldbrand, meeting the adoring fan, trying to kill umbra at level 1 (in my FIRST gameplay), trying some mods that ruined my game and my saves...and so many more....
