How will you play?
More to the point, when you drop into whatever prison your in at the beginning, how will you set out? Fast travel everywhere to do the main quests. Do a guild? Or just walk through the wilderness. And what do you think of fast travel?
For me, I feel like it ruins me feeling IN the game. If I'm bored of the landscape, then yeah I'll skip. But a whole new world? Nah.
I'm definitely just gonna do the main quest without fast traveling. I wanna learn the new world!

I can't vote for some reason. But what I'll do is this: Whatever my character would do in the given situation. In other words: RP my butt off!

Odd. Zee Poll IS broke! And I can't fix it. ><
Sweet rolls are important. Watch out though, a childhood rival WILL try to take it. (Learned from Morrowind/Fallout.)

Re: How will you play?
Goof off and not fast travel at all. Just see the world. Make a character, and do whatever I want to when I'm playing. Only on my 20th playthrough will I use fast travel.

Never thought about it 'til I saw the poll, but doing the main quest without fast travel, first time, seems a good idea. Think I'll do that.

Anytime Mars. Anytime.
Something about doing the main quest first feels right. I didn't do it that way in Oblivion and I wish I had. And g0oing back to play Morrowind I did. Plus, I am way excited to see all the new stuff!

I will most likely end up doing main quest with fast travel, although I will try not to.

Re: How will you play?
As soon as I leave our inevitable prison I will start roleplaying straight away, thieving, stalking, killing... My usual playstyle. Coupled with alot of exploring the nooks and crannys around the world usually stumbling upon something interesting.
Every now and then I'll do a small bit of the main quest, and I'd it's anything like oblivion with the brotherhood coming to you after you murder someone I'll be following that questline quite early.
I just want to get ingame to "play" it tbh...

Re: How will you play?
i usually don't fast travel until i've opened up a lot of the map, but i dont see the choice to use it as 'anti immersive' or 'anti rpg' in any way whatsoever
actually, one thing i'd like to know about people's playing styles for skyrim , is how will you deal with the dragon breath/cold weather thing? It'll be a land of extremes, Nords will presumably be cold proof and Dunmer are 75% fire proof, so these two races seem to be better suited to what we know about Skyrim, but will this affect the way you make your charcters?

Re: How will you play?
I'll probablly start out with a few guild quests, and general exploring around before I get to the main quest
I like to get associated with the lay of the land before I get into the serious business
As for fast travel - I'll use it once I've been to the major areas - but my first trips to new cities I'll go without I think

Re: How will you play?
It depends on if they have hand to hand or not. If they do, then I'll be interested in making Sabretooth(Nord) and Hulk(Orc) if they have any kind of regeneration power, and if I get it for the computer and am allowed to cheat, then Superman(Possibly an Imperial?).
If not, I'll be making my Dunmer(the same character from Oblivion, since he's a Vampire), and, I dunno, fast travel I'll use as travel between towns becomes more and more repetitive. Especially if we don't have any kind of mounts.

Re: How will you play?
I usually go on with the main quest first, but after im done with that I make a few new characters and start getting money as im leveling up, and do every quest possible. I couldn't really get interested in exploring oblivion. (I did in shivering isles though) Everything in oblivion just looked the same..

Re: How will you play?
comparing oblivion to morrowind in my opinion, oblivion is much more fun to explore than morrowind. EVERYTHING looked the same in morrowind.Blackfire wrote:I usually go on with the main quest first, but after im done with that I make a few new characters and start getting money as im leveling up, and do every quest possible. Re: How will you play?
I'm nit comparing it to morrowind at all... I like oblivion better. I keep trying to push myself to get through morrowind but I find the game boring

Re: How will you play?
I'm going to roleplay while doing the main quest (Doing the main quest, while doing a few side quests here or there). Since I'm roleplaying, no fast travel.

Re: How will you play?
If you watch the trailer you may notice that the character isn't affected by the dragon flames. Dovahkin are immune to them I think, but anyway it is magic fire not physical fire so may be treated differently.Mattbott wrote:i usually don't fast travel until i've opened up a lot of the map, but i dont see the choice to use it as 'anti immersive' or 'anti rpg' in any way whatsoever

Chances are we won't get frost damage from standing in snow so we don't really need to worry about that either.

*Puts a stereo on the ground, "Burn Baby Burn" starts playing. Dovakhiin starts throwing fireballs*
I used to make polls, but then I took an arrow in the knee.
