Some of them, certainly, but I don't think its too bad
I think the worst offenders on that front are Lilipup -> Herdier -> Stoutland. They don't flow into each other, not in sound or in idea.

So, about Sigilglyph. They are in desert resort, but are they just really rare?

Yessss. Finally beat that stupid Gym Leader. All it took was a lot of training, one piece of Rare Candy, and a couple of new Pokemon. Off to the fifth Gym, and more training.

It's not that bad. It could have been Fire, Water, Grass, and Normal.

I just beat the 5th, all mine are around level 35, and honesty, I wish they had made the AI's levels higher. I am one hitting everything :?

Seven gym badges now! :D I'm plotting my victory against the eighth Gym Leader as I type this. I have a feeling this is going to be a tough battle. :| None of my Pokemon know any Dragon or Ice type moves, nor can they learn any. I guess we'll just have to do a lot of training and hope we get lucky.

Personally, I didn't have much trouble with the eigth gym. I didn't have any dragon or ice type moves either, but the nice thing is that the leader's pokemon don't have any "weird" moves, like the way Clair's Dragonairs have Electric or Fire type moves.

I see. Well, hopefully I won't have too much trouble, then. :)

Something really bugs me, why did they make the levels of all the AI pokemon so low? I am one-hitting almost everything that I use a super effective move on :| I want at least some challenge. Maybe I have over trained or something. I have beaten the 5th gym and I have a team of L 36 Serperior, L 35 Zebstrika, L 35 Sigilglyph, L 35 Unfezant, and a soon to be L 35 Zoroark

needless to say this team is killing all the trainers in the area who are level 24-30. I mean come on, its the 5th gym and the highest AI level I have seen is 31 or 32 with Clay

It seems that as they have made new gens they have drastically lowered the level of AI each time. Red version was actually challenging because the AI had decent levels. I looked up the Elite 4 and saw that they were all level 48. Come on, I am not even at the 6th gym. I will probably have a team of level 55-60s by then. You should not be able to one hit the E 4. And the overabundance of bug types is extremely annoying

To be honest I think Pokemon needs to be buried. Last one I bought was Sapphire, and that pair were, in my opinion, the last of the best.

Anyone have a cheat cartridge? I remember the days when someone would swagger in with one and flash it around the playground, every boy's eyes staring at it in awe as if it was the holy grail.
